Interesting change in tone
I noticed a few things:
1. Russian numbers of Ukrainian casualties increasing.
2. In the last couple of weeks the numbers of Ukrainian drones sent is significantly lower.
3. Russian advances are more methodical this year and is rarely countered by Ukraine but also very slow.
4. Russia and West are escalating diplomatic tensions. I think the West feels like Ukraine is losing and Russia knows that it is losing too much and cannot keep up with everyone giving money and guns to Ukraine.

@@itsnoonepresents6508 I think some of the most conservative estimates for Russian loses amount to about 40-50k soldiers killed. A big chunk of their equipment has been destroyed too so...

I would like to remind you that Robotyne had about 450 inhabitants before the war.
That has zero significance. What is significant, is we were told Russia is weak, that Ukraine would make it to tokmak, exhausted themselves for Robotnye, only to retreat from it today half a year later
And this was Ukraine biggest gain
@@Alien_isolationist Does the fact that Russia was unable to defeat Ukraine in the first few months of the war when it had only light support from NATO, and then was forced to withdraw from Kiev, Kharkov and Kherson mean that Russia is strong? I am still talking about the poorest country in Europe, currently with a maximum of 30 million inhabitants, which has been resisting Russia for 2.5 years, and the support it has received from the free world during this time is less than Poland's annual military expenditure.

This might be just my opinion, but i have a feeling that the Russians are planning for an encirclement from both Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts by looking at the map.
Tbh that would not be plausible for the Russians at all since first of all that would be a very big area and second you’ll have to go through several heavily defended areas like chasiv yar and you’ll need to defend all those positions and risk being encircled yourself since it’s a lot of land

When it started it was certainly obvious that it was going to fall eventually though, but it is impossible to predict when. It is probably going to be flanked at the moment though, so I don't see it holding for a long time.

If Robotyne falls, not only will the Ukrainians be demoralized by the fact that Robotyne was their biggest gain during the counteroffensive, but there will also be a great risk of several Ukrainian positions being surrounded.
Them going back to Krynky and the other half of Kherson Oblast which is under Russian control was a massive mistake, it literally has no strategic value in the Krynky bridghead.
Robotyne wasn’t even the biggest gain though? Also robotyne isn’t really that important anymore since ukraine stated they won’t be on the offensive until summer of 2025 to wear down the Russians
