Georgina, thank you so much. I’ve learnt everything I know about Artemisia Gentileschi from you :) Such a good choice of artist. I imagine her hard, tragic life pushed her to achieve so highly. I agree with a previous comment that you’re really good at presenting your videos - I love your passion for the subject you discuss; never boring! Anyway, I look forward to visiting the exhibition in autumn 💁🏻‍♀️

I love that you have done this on Artemisia! I love her work and sadly how her work was influenced by the good and terrible men of the time. It was so awful that she was subjected to torture in court, I studied her and like all women artists throughout history and even today, they are ignored and not promoted as they should be. I like her work on Judth slaying Holofernes so much more than Caravaggio's. Artemisia's painting shows Judith slaying with intent, while Caravaggio's Judith looks bewildered and hesitant, which I am sure that if you are committed to doing this task Artemisia's portrayal would be more true.

Never expected that Artemisia Gentileschi was known out of Italy! Nice explanation, anyway

I think she's only recently been getting recognition but, yes the National Gallery in London has just had an exhibition.
