What zone are you in? I am in zone 9A. That Ph-level tip you dropped was Gold! I'm very interested in this. Very nice groceries and presentation! Shalom
I’m in Georgia zone 8A. Yes, the pH of your soil is the canvas for what your garden will look like as it matures. While the pH scale is 0 to 14 with 7 being neutral…. just 1 numbers up or down represents 10x exponentially more or less Hydrogen of what your plant needs from the soil. pH represents “portions, parts or percentage of Hydrogen ions” in your soil. Hydrogen is acidic. So if you soils pH is a 5 and your plants need a 7, that’s 100Xs out of range. Or 100Xs more or less acidic. This is where it’s possible to poison your plants with the very same fertilizers you use to make them grow healthy and strong. Nutrients begin to lock out and others become toxic.
I like those 'banana peppers'' you have there. Highly productive! I was browsing in my seed catalogue and saw similar peppers called ''Hungarian hot wax''. Is it this variety that you are growing? I will definitely give them a try next summer after what i've seen here. PS I totally agree that we are what we eat. I love it! I built beds for them to sit on. Very nice 👍
I was wondering about the banana peppers seeds and them long red peppers seeds
What are you wondering?☺️
your black pearl pepper....what did you call the planter? a beagle planter? that thing looks like it would be wonderful to grow in. where did you purchase this? I love that you have metal planters. someone told me they get too hot in the summer so I haven't gotten any. thanks so much for sharing your experience!
The planter is @vego_garden They have some of the best looking garden items on the market. www.vegogarden.com/?nb_platform=grin&nb_igu=growingoutthebox&nb_ytu=Growing+Out+The+Box&nb_ttu=&nb_twitchu=&nb_twtru=&platform=grin&link_id=1649519&token=gxy1mym7xLgOk8E5E4Ku6KOqlXyk8G8R&contact_id=2ec93213-5a26-47c0-8370-10142da998f3&attribution_window=30
I am new to your channel and love what you're doing. This may have been answered in other comments - but is the icicle radish best for this tea? Will another variety work as well? By the way, you have the best voice. If you don't have a side gig doing voice overs, you should. Thank you!
Thank you. I’m not sure about doing voice overs, but I do enjoy making these videos for you all.☺️ As far as the icicle radish. That is a preference of mine so I would imagine that any would do if it is spicy. Thanks for the engaugement.
Question: Can you eat the radish leaves also and if so how do you use them?
@@Sylviar357 Happy holidays and yes, you most certainly can eat radish greens. Cooked or raw. They can add a spice to a salad or mix with collards.
Great harvest ! May I ask where you purchased your Georgia Jets ?
I got them from a local farmer's market. I will have slips on growingoutthebox.com spring.
I can't remember which video but I want to make your diy fertilizer with the egg shells, dried banana peels with the coffee grinder but can't remember what else you put in it
It’s on the garlic harvest video but it’s organic Alfalfa pellets, powdered eggshells, powdered banana peels. You can also add fresh wood ash. I have a video posting closer to spring showings the amounts of each part.
@@growingoutthebox thank you
@@growingoutthebox i thought it had milk weed in it too. My bad
