Hey thanks so much, glad you like how I go about things :) will definitely do more radiohead. What are some of your favourite tunes of theirs? Might help me figure out what to do next
Hey Max! Yeah it's such a great track, I've always loved it since I first heard it. Thanks for the kind words too. I'm pretty chilled in general haha, so I just explain things how I'd like them to be taught. And yeah I've got enough vids up now that I figure people will subscribe if they like them enough. I do always appreciate when people like yourself subscribe though, so thanks for that! :)
Sounds better with a DADGAD to me (still with the capo at 3rd fret). With DADGAD, the higher strings can ring open without clashing with the rest of the chords, and I think that I can hear them every now and then while Thom plays it
All your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow. I love this track as well!! Have you ever thought about doing There, There? It sounds really fun to play, but I can’t get the hang of it
Great stuff, man. It’s such an amazing, chill track, and I’ve been curious how to play it for a while. Funny to think of Radiohead making one of the best make-out albums ever, but they did! 😆 Also, your tone is lovely. So fat and juicy.
Thanks so much for the kind words NorthWriter, glad you like the tone! Haha yeah they cover so much territory across and within albums - a truly amazing band and this track has always been a highlight for me.
I like it a lot! I find the rhythm hard and can't even imagine being able to sing it. Stupid question: that's in F, with F9? So I could get an accompanist to play different voicing (capo 1, play in E9 Asus4?)
Thank you so much :) Coordinating the guitar and vocals rhythmically is a bit tricky for sure, just goes to show how great Thom Yorke and co are at what they do when they make it look so effortless playing live. There are no stupid questions :) Yes, this is in F and it sits on that F9 a lot, mainly throughout the verse. And absolutely you could shift the capo to the 1st fret (or any fret that suits your vocal register if you're planning on singing with it) to play in a different key and play different voicings of the chords :)
Thanks Thekemlo :) Yeah I love Tame Impala, especially Currents. But I'll have a listen through Innerspeaker again. Any song/s in particular you'd like me to have a go at?
Pretty sure I just had some really low overdrive (from a Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire), some reverb (from a Strymon Flint) and had the tone knob on my guitar rolled back to darken it up a bit
One of the most beautiful songs of all time. I’m my opinion anyway.
It's a truly great song :) I've always loved the mellow vibe of the music in it
I always wondered if he ended up getting the girl featured in the song.
Agreed
No bollocks, just how to play it right, with the perfect guitar, perfect tone. Nice
Thanks Ned :) glad you like it!
Damn, this is stunningly accurate and presented very clearly! Top work!
Thanks so much Simeon! Glad you like it :)
Killer lesson for a great song.
Hey thanks so much! Glad you like it :)
Keep going with your tutorials this was so clear and well-presented. I like your calm approach and accuracy - more Radiohead please!

Thanks Dave. I adore this song. I appreciate your chilled approach and the way you don't push people to subscribe too much (I've subscribed).

Super helpful thanks! What effects are you using?
You're welcome! I think mainly some reverb from a Strymon Flint and I rolled the tone knob off on my guitar a bit from memory
Great video! Do you think you could maybe do some tame impala? something from innerspeaker would be great!
Thanks Thekemlo :) Yeah I love Tame Impala, especially Currents. But I'll have a listen through Innerspeaker again. Any song/s in particular you'd like me to have a go at?
@@davedoingguitar thanks for replying, I think Jeremy's storm or desire be desire go would be great thanks!
Thekemlo 47 no worries. I was thinking desire be, desire go 👍 I’ll see what I can do!
Just made this for you :) - ruclips.net/video/vfBGXOTUweo/видео.html
Can you maybe try Title fight-loud and clear. No rush though I see you have other requests :p
I’ve put it in the list 👍 Made a video for their tune In Between today that someone else requested if you want to check that out in the meantime :)

What pedals r u using?
From memory I think I just rolled the tone off on my guitar and had a low drive (Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire) and reverb (Strymon Flint) on
Hey there, could you do ghost by have mercy?
I'll check it out

Pretty sure I just had some really low overdrive (from a Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire), some reverb (from a Strymon Flint) and had the tone knob on my guitar rolled back to darken it up a bit
Great tutorial. The song is lovely but it has a darker meaning about adultery and cheating which I have to admit, I'm not sure how I feel about!
It’s about climate change.
the one time i loose my capo
Classic timing
:)
What is the tuning
Drop D
Great tutorial!
Thanks Clive :)
