A fan from the beginning, 32 years. So happy to have been exposed to this phenomenal band being from NYC in the 80's and no outlet except WWLIR/WWDRE radio station. 6 hits on this album. Very underrated.
@@mel-lp2pk At what point in any time in the past did 92ktu (Paco, Disco, house and Freestyle), Z100 (Kiddie pop), WBLS (The great Frankie Crocker and the Quiet Storm) or Kiss FM 98.7 not 98.3 ever play Secession, A Dark Enchantment????????? That is what this post was about. I liked those stations, had many of my friends music played on those stations but none played Secession or the music I was deeply passionate about. I was born and raised in the Bronx in the 60's and very much into the various music scenes of the 70's, 80's & 90's and none of those or any other station played SECESSION or New Wave. Like I stated, I am so very happy to have been exposed to WLIR & WDRE 92.7 FM at that time. NYC had no other outlets for Alternative, New Wave, Dark Wave, Gothic and other genres that these stations played with the exception of some college radio stations that had brief 4 hour runs of Gothic, Metal and some New Wave. My apology if this came off harsh. It was not my intention.
Still have this kicking about on vinyl somewhere. there was PLENTY of crap about around this time that stopped this lot becoming as successful as they should have been. A real shame! The ones that got away sadly... Thanks for posting.
...many a night time of my youth dancing to The Magician calling for my freedom of my unfound life and love. But the dancefloor and noticing people in the rhythm as one in and through the music and the need to move together with it.. happy or busy or both.

Was the second one in the stack at the pawnshop I pawned it at 8 years before. In Little Rock Arkansas. I gave him s2.00 .
I as well. We were able to get my friend who is a very famous house/dance music DJ to play about 8-12 songs or 45 minutes of New Wave songs at Studio 54 and a few other clubs he was the DJ at. One of those songs was either The Magician, Michael or Touch. He did this for 5-10 of us who were into this band. He is an amazing guy and friend.
This is my first time listening to the album though The Magician instantly became my Blue Adept Ad Liberteum or Liberateum ad Infinituum. The skies are blue, the seas are blue...now that We're all here, too❣️
Sure the synthesizer sound modules sound outdated but they have some nice compositions going on here. I think they sound more like China Crisis than Depeche Mode

Nothing like china crisis for those of us old enough to remember, closer to New Order than anyone else.
this was not the album. the album ended with eventide. i'm guessing this was the cd version?
