I think it's truly great that we can immortalise these great musicians and performers not just on audio, but on video and even in video games. Nobody who lives today will ever get to hear or see Paganini or Chopin perform, but we're ensuring that people will be able to listen to Black Sabbath and Motörhead and watch them perform on video for generations to come.
uh, we can still listen to pre-20th century classical music these days... sure, not by the original musicians themselves, but the compositions do resist the test of time.

in the video it looks like they just used scans of their face for the model but there was no actual facial animations recorded or else they would have dots and a camera on their face
@@ometsu Actually, there *Is* facial animation capture, they just don't use the actual celebrity for it as it requires a more specific setup (specially at the time) compared to just putting a suit on correctly to record your movements.

Man, I wish they used the Guitar Battle mechanic more. It was mindblowing to hear iconic guitarists making original songs for the game, showing off their personality, style and skill while being immortalized in the game.
the most insane thing about that even sometimes we dont even notice about all this details they tryed to add it, it is so insane the history behind to be killed by actvision grief

I bought this game used back then and had no idea any of these people was in it cause i played it for 2 seconds and then started playing GH5 downloading random dumb custom songs off the store lmao

well, you can't deny it was a huge operation that Neversoft mounted. but it still felt more show than substance to me. if there's one thing they should've fixed was the generic character models. the characters that are not from real life look horrible, especially the men.
If they would have have a few songs replaced or some other song this would instantly become the greatest rhythm game ever and would be impossible to beat it it’s all ready a great game but could be made even better

It seems like they used the models, but they twisted them to fit the artstyle, to make them more of caricatures than 1:1 straight interpretation.

With the lack of motion capture on Fortnite Festival you see the importance of it. Honestly feels like it gives personality to each song
well, fortnite is the direct copy of rockband (who also didnt have a lot of motion capture, just generic animations)
