Last time I hung out with Jani was at their hotel room after the show in San Diego at Rogos. They had recorded Dirty rotten SFR, but it wasn’t released yet. After that they blew up. Jani was always a good friend and he will always be missed.
I used to hang out with Jani and Paul etc... in the Plain Jane days and video their performances. Jani and I had paper routes together delivering LA Times into all hours of the night. Every time I hear Heaven I get chills still today. Jani is and will be missed forever..
Can you watch this video and lmk what you think - type in JANI LANE CONTACT FROM THE AFTER LIFE- I also have a ghost vid of him on my channel - jani died 8-11-11 in rm 118 of a comfort inn that changed to the 818 ASCEND hotel - like the Greek god Janus who had 2 faces - one looking forward and one looking backward in time simultaneously- JANI SANG FORWARD. AND REVERSED SIMULTANEOUSLY- ALWAYS - this is not back masking or a little one liner- it’s EVERYTHING 💞
@@shannonswan9493I'm with you girlfriend I would love to see a performance from Jani and Steve in the Plane Jane days. Problem is even if the did exist the quality would be terrible. Look at how hard it is to even find decent concert footage of Warrant. My Hubbybdied 15 years ago and smart phones hadn't even come out yet.
This is an awesome song. I like the revamp version of Heaven by Warrant better. Janis voice rocks in both versions. RIP Song and Dance Man. Your death was a shock to the world. You had a slip from your sobriety, and your demons took over, and that slip ended up being fatal . 😢 We 80s fans are keeping your legacy alive, teaching the young generation your songs. Warrant is not Warrant without you, Jani Lane, as their Frontman. 🤘💔🍒🥧 You are so missed rocking out on the stage where you were you and felt alive. Thank you for the love you gave to your fans. Miss you!
For what it's worth, my band Head Games was playing Warner Park in Burbank last year and we stayed at The Ramada on Ventura. 5 days later Jani checked into the Comfort Inn next door and passed away. Love Jani and his music.
Funny I was just imagining how he must of felt checking into the Hotel knowing he likely wouldn't be leaving alive. Heartbreaking beyond belief. Biggest mistake I ever made was listening to the 911 video.😢❤ I believe Jani must have had a battle with mental illness.Bless his heart his struggles ran much deeper then alcohol. Miss you desperately Jani. Rest in Peace, Power and Perfection.
@@JustJoshLTRB Hacks is a strong word. Without the guys in Warrant, Jan would not reach the heights he did. You can compare Warrant to Cinderella. In Cinderella, Tom Keifer wrote and sang the songs. He also played many of the guitar solos live in concert. I would not call the other 3 members of Cinderella hacks.
@@Overprotected1111 on the debut album a guitar player named Mike Slammer played the guitar solos. The producer at the time didn't believe Erik and Joey were playing good enough solos. On the 2nd album, C.C. Deville was a guest for the Cherry Pie guitar solo. This time around Erik and Joey played the solos on the album and have been every since(when they are in the band).
Thanks for sharing. I also played in a band with your father Paul. Would you tell him that Daren from Red Square Black says hello and that I would love to catch up with him sometime!
@@MrMasMola Not only is the tone much higher pitched, but the way he sings certain words is totally different. This is very unlike his voice, and how he sings and emphasizes words/syllables in the Warrant years. I dont think its him. I think its entirely possible this is a version of the song with Plain Jane after Jani left, with a new lead singer. The way he says words is totally different.

I feel blessed that I got to see Plain Jane a few times back in the day... RIP Jani, you were my rockstar!
R.I.P. Jani Lane... Let's remember the beautiful, articulate soul that was embraced by all Warrant fans.

That’s really cool, special memories I’m sure. I never met him, wish I had😢. I listen to him daily.

This is so beautiful
Jani sang it this same way on 1999 version of the song.
rest in peace jani.. =(
Omg he sounds so young - I’m so reversing this one- lookup jani lane Nevaeh
Very well said, I hope he is singing with the angels now. Miss you Jani! And I still can't believe he is gone.
Such a shame with all these great songs Jani Lane was never able to find a truly great group of musicians to support him (that includes Warrant)
Seriously, He was the talent in that band. The rest of the dudes were hacks.

@@javtimestwo didn’t other guys play on the actual CDs when they were made???? That’s kinda……odd I’d say

You should listen to dog eat dog
Demo clearly mixed by the guitarist :)
Todas las versiones de heaven de Jani Lane son muy hermosas, Jani Lane todo un genio musical
Grande siempre será
Love this! Thanks so much for posting! Man did he ever sound young!
Interesting to hear. Thanks for posting this.

Was he like 18 or 19 or 20 in this version?
Im not convinced this is Jani.
Christopher McBurney Dude, it’s the same voice.

That would be dumb, I'm going to look into that... Are they just now saying something about it or what?
Jani turned his back on friends who helped him get to LA when he joined Warrant.
RamsesRibb please tell us more!
please expand. you can't write a statement like that without some explaining
BS !
I ran a few Google searches and didn't come across anything. Do you know more about this?
this version of heaven is not good
