It's unfortunate that the library closed. I hope that there is another library for the public to utilize. I also hope the new Chinese owners take good care of the building. It looks like a very unique space with lots of charm and character. Thanks, Nat, for showing us around town!

Nice video I really like the French/Lao architecture …. how well preserved it is… I remember maybe a short way down the road there is the Royal Palace? I remember visiting it, but I really do not know much about the history of the Royal family of Laos and where are any of them today.
is not good for laos , china do with laos lilke tibet , they send more chineses people install in tibet , now tibet have majority chineses , laos with be too , laos will be one of china province of china , the china gouvernment send a lot chineses to install in laos, & lao people s are under peoples of china ,very sade

Yes, the palace is now the national museum. Thanks to the UNESCO that helps keep this beautiful town the way it is.

Yes, just for three days and then it drops back to the normal rate.

It's yesterday, today and tomorrow due to the boat racing. Hence every year is different spending on the lunar calendar. This year is a bit early.
