Thanks for reviewing the Intel Arc model. Idk why so many tech RUclipsrs seemed to have (purposely?) skipped reviewing this version of the latest XPS model.
Have the 2021 (9510) model and I still think it's one of the best laptops in the market. I love it so much and using it everyday puts a big smile on my face.
Great video. Your channel is going to grow. Great quality. I am wanting this laptop for cybersecurity. I think you convinced me. I was just nervous of the Intel Arc Graphics
Great video, Haven't seen many reviews of the Intel Arc Graphics option. Do you really think its worth the savings of $300 compared to the NVIDIA RTX 4050. I honestly don't know much about the Intel Arc graphic card. Right now I am trying to decide between the XPS 15 or the Surface laptop 5. The surface also has an onboard graphics card (Intel Iris Xe Graphics). Did you have any concerns about the thermals on the XPS 15. I have read a lot about how it gets quite hot. Thanks
Exactly. I just ordered this laptop, mostly for university work, but I also wanted to do some light gaming and wasn’t willing to pay for one of the more expensive models. Instead, I spent my money on more ram and storage. But I could not find someone reviewing this model until now, finally
I have a 2010 XPS 15 that is still working. I did not know that you were not supposed to go to Windows 10, so I went to Windows 10 but the HDMI which I had trouble getting to work in Windows 7 does not work right in Windows 10. However it can work for me when I disable one of the 2 display adapters. Other than that everything is okay and the sound and speakers continue to be great I have thought about a new one but am disappointed by the lack of ports especially that there is no ethernet port and the dongle does not even have one.
My work and school usage was similar. I did not like the dongle life as much as I thought and the Galaxy book has fixed that for me by including the microSD and usb2. But my entire time using it I was envious of my sisters g14 which even got better battery life in my case and seemed more capable in most other instances. Design was classy but the speakers were the standout over all.
@@rifaz123 depends on what you want really, they are pretty different. In terms of power, the xps wins with the H series processor. Example being, my galaxybook spins it's fans up to full running my two monitors and excel email and the like. That said, I have never had any issues out of it other than it being louder. My dads galaxybook ultra does not have this problem. The xps on the otherhand did not have great battery life in my opinion. It seemed that in regards to that my sister's g14 was better.. and it had a better GPU. Numberpad comes in handy on the galaxybook, but I miss the GPU in a direct comparison to the galaxybook to the XPS. Also XPS speakers are fantastic.. the 4 times I used them. The Samsung display is better at all times. In short it comes down to do you want, a fantastic notebook, or a MacBook competitor without the battery life. Both have great build quality and I was able to play Forza on the XPS. Power (XPS) + Speakers V Portability + 16"touchscreen + numberpad(Samsung) Although if you were looking at the XPS, I would personally seriously consider the AMD g14 because of battery life + better gaming, but for my purposes, galaxybook won out, but both are good. Oh yeah, the galaxybook has actual ports so I don't NEED to use a dongle at all times. That said, on Bestbuy a galaxybook pro 16 is 1200 used and an XPS 17 is 2300, but one has a 4070 exemplifying the differences
Hey, thanks for the review! I enjoyed it! Ya, I picked up the 9530 with a higher spec (i9 + 4070). I'm pretty impressed with it overall. Runs all my AAA games fine (avg 60 fps). I don't even mind the FHD+ which, as you say, is pretty sharp and punchy color-wise. My main machine is still the 16" M1 Pro (base), which gives me perspective when it comes to overall awesomeness. However, when I want to do casual stuff and game, I, of course, switch to the XPS. I'm not sure what you're doing with the speakers, but when I use them with "enhancements" on, the mids distortion with speech, drive me batty, whatever mode I choose. They simply don't compare to the M1 Pro.
@@Vinsmokedz I haven’t had any heating issues when gaming. The fans work harder than usual but nothing ridiculous. The only base model I’ve owned are the 7590 and 9500, i7’s with much lesser powerful gpu’s. They were ok but don’t touch my 9530, for obvious reasons.
@@JimKanaris thanks…. I am on the fence about this laptop but all I hear are complaints about heating I think these people are way too demanding nowadays They need everything in a laptop. My Inspiron 5480 is still going strong but I am in a dire need of an upgrade Should I just go and buy it ? I am thinking of the I7 13 gen, with 4060 and 16 gb which is around 1700 including taxes I would love to hear from you if this is a good deal
@@Vinsmokedz For that price, I say: go for it! If your 5480 made you happy, there's no reason the i7 4060 won't. Depending what you use it for, my only advice would be to throw in another 16G memory. Cheers!
Edit Dec 2. Yes Dell has headphone jack. Mine did not come with touch screen. I missed that in the specs. Still not happy SD slotcis not original click in all the way. For my home router wifi changed as no current laptop could stay connected. Good machine otherwise. As It was not on display in store and I had not bought new in years, changes inform factors and ports and the retail experience was problematic. Givingbaw a nice present Ordered an HP Envy 360 with Ryzen more suitable with features for various uses, great form factor / portability. The DELL is not returnable where I bought it. I have to try to sell. I don't game nor any heavy multimedia use.

Yeah, I have no idea either. Everyone is going for the best spec'd out models.
How are thermals of the laptop under heavy loads like gaming?

Did you get the rtx 4050? I am planning to buy one now at $1499…
New subscriber. Good review on the iPhone 7 Plus. Excellent content also on the Mac 😁Well I'm an Apple fan
Finally someone who reviews the ARC model
Can't forget about it :)

I'd pick the Arc model only if I was super tight on money

The speakers are GREAT

Xps 17 or galaxybook 360 ??

Are we able to upgrade the RAM later on? Still not sure if 16gb is enough.
YES you should be able to upgrade the RAM
Did anyone try this beast with linux?
That's a good laptop ❤️

"crispy 60fps" oh boy, wait until you see 120hz or 240hz.
Intel Arc A370m is pretty good
The 1080p screen is just bad
They are way better than MacBooks
Just get a mac, bugman. It's what you types deserve.
What is that type exactly?
