cracking choice of covers guys! Quite a few of the covers with high levels of detail were actually by John Severin, Marie's brother. He usually signed his art where Marie did not and was best known for cowboy strips and war stories but I reckon he'd have been great at gothic horror.
It was so weird living in the U.K. in the 1970s and growing up reading American Marvel comics. All those ads for sea horses, Hostess Twinkies, Kung Fu courses, bodybuilding equipment... it gave kids like me a very confused idea of what life was like across the pond.
Those Tower of Shadows #8 and #9 covers are awesome! Dead of Night #1...Crypt of Shadows #8, just wow! There's not a bad one in the batch that you guys showed; really cool to see.
"Beware " has a great composition, with a clean symmetry of perspective. I found it interesting that there were quite a few triads, or grouping of three faces and bodies in a kind of triangular tension, most notably on the House of Mystery cover, but also on Vault of Evil #3, Chamber of Chills, Tower of Shadows #3, and Where Monsters Dwell #32.
Too many to choose from, but a few that come to mind are House of Secrets 99, 103 and 105 and House of Mystery 179, 181, 195, 200 and 217. Supernatural Thrillers 5 is a classic, yes. and pretty much any Tales of the Zombie cover.
Another great cover show guys. Some of my choices that I don't think I saw in yours follow. Marvel's Supernatural Thrillers #1 with The Thing That Wouldn't Die cover. Marvel's Astonishing Tales #24 with It and Fin Fang Foom on the cover. Marvel's The Man-Thing #9 [Mike Ploog artist]. Thanks again for another interesting show.

This has got to be the best "best of covers" episode the Geezers have ever done! Fantastic stuff!
My new favorite episode. Keep the horror coming. Thank you for sharing. ✌

Wow, I never realized the sheer number of horror titles that Marvel and DC produced in the 60's & 70's. Thanks for showcasing them.
We have a bunch more horror comic videos. It’s in our playlist under Horror. Thanks for watching.😎

Always loved the Kirby reprint covers and stories in those books. Neal Adams did some fantastic covers for DC as well. Keep having fun guys.
I loooooove horror comics, and the geezers have some stunning examples here!

@@WilliamJUSA Will do. I am trying to catch up on those shows. Keep up the entertaining shows. Thanks.
Nice showing. The Monsters on the Prowl 29 is a Kirby/Ayers cover swiped from TTA 34 (1962). Interestingly, the cover is also the splash page.
I specially love the giant monsters.
I always liked DC's, House of Secrets #123, I Scream" cone cover
That’s a classic I don’t have😎
Great Stuff.check out THE CREEPS.
Howdy Pete, have you ever read The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics ?
I have not!
@@seaoftranquilityprog Written by Gilbert Shelton and was all about the adventures of four drug-n-booze crazed hippies, very funny stories.
Fiend!
