I was just given the exact same trailer. I am so thankful for these videos. What are the chances you kept records or made and blue print type files of your work. Also do you have slime on either how to make the skin or purchase new skin parts. I have a few holes.
hi Chadd, I took some time off restoring it because of COVID and work. It has unfortunately been hit with alot of rain this past year. I will be starting to work on it again on April, and Im hoping i can salvage most of the work ive done on it. Ill start posting videos again when i start working on it.
Hello Eric, Thank for subscribing to my channel... Any help I can give you if need be... Just give me a Text on PM Facebook... I'm in Prescott Valley, AZ... Good Luck...
My pleasure Rudy. I’m planning on putting up some reinforcement on that side of the trailer where I removed the cabinet. To make sure it does not sag. I’m going to wait until the rain season is over before tackling the renovation. Like I mentioned before, I wish Io would have seen your videos before starting. Live and learn I guess.
You just ruined your trailer. You should have learned who trailers are put together before you destroyed this one. The paneling can not be taken out from the inside without ruining the trailer. You probably noticed that the paneling goes over the tops of the walls. You have to install the ceiling, front and rear paneling from the outside over the walls and then put the framing back on. And if you want to replace the wall paneling you must remove the walls first. We call that a frame off rebuild. But you've already blown it. Go to Vintage Trailer Talk forum and educate yourself before you do anything else.
I wish I would have seen your videos as well as Rudy’s. I am going to reinforce the inside with some bracing and slow down. I will start with that side of the trailer and start on the outside. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The paneling inside was beyond repair or reuse. I’m not thin skinned so any advise would be greatly appreciated guys. My plan was always to replace all of the paneling on the inside. Again, I appreciate all of your advise.
just subbed cant wait to see the progress
Thanks Riley. I have posted 3 additional videos on it, enjoy.
