    Um this Is getting creepy I literally had a massive part of my personal statement on GFP and biofluorescence, what a shame they won’t cover that in my interviews! Well done ❤️👏

    Hello , I am currently in the process of applying to oxford and writing my personal statement for biochemistry. I was hoping maybe you could do a video for personal statement for biochemistry as I haven’t seen many videos on this.

    Hi, I’m planning to apply this October and I find ur video rlly helpful. But I just wanna ask how much and in what sort of depth did u talk about biochemistry in ur personal statement (for example if I talk about an enzyme mechanism that is beyond a level syllabus)?

    Do you think students can still have strong enough applications to oxbridge with AAB at AS?

    • @tilly1099
      @tilly1099  5 лет назад +1

      Absolutely, I got AAB at AS and I got in 😊

    If my school hasn't covered a topic yet (organic chem and redox rx) should i study it beforehand?? Do you think its worth it? I have so manh exams to study for rn..

      I would personally focus on things you speak about in your personal statement instead of trying to learn topics independently, you are more than okay to tell them you haven't learned it at school yet if a question came up :)

    What will they do if we have average academic performances but good knowledge about subject

      Hiya, it is very much judged on a case by case basis. It depends on the context of your past grades, your personal statement, reference from teachers.. all you can do is give it a go and apply and do your best! I would try to improve your general academic performance until it's at your best and put lots of care into your personal statement to try and get to the interview stage. Then hopefully you can really wow them with your subject knowledge :) good luck!

    Hi I know you probably won’t respond but I plan on applying to Biochemistry this year at Oxford and I saw you on the Oxford virtual open day🤣is it ok if I can email you for some advice about applying (as I’ve never met anyone who has done biochemistry and no one in my family has ever gone to uni)??

    • @tilly1099

      Hiya! That's great to hear, I can happily give you some personal advice as a RUclips and current student but obviously it won't be in any way official advice from Oxford University or Hertford college. (sounds proper drab I know but have to make that clear for legal purposes haha) if you want to follow the Instagram for the channel and DM me on there rather than email that'd be great! Hope you enjoyed the virtual open day :))
