Not dream signing but players id love for us to go for:
Hato: Comfortable as a CB and LB - have him as our deputy to CB's and Timber in the LB role, hopefully be the guy who can eventually step up when Madrid come in for Saliba as they inevitably will.
Kudus: Electric winger / Wide forward, can play on either flank or as a ST. He offers something we don't really have much in our team electric power and pace. So gifted technically too and a serious goal threat - go get him Arsenal!
Fofana: Fantastic athleticism, always forward passing (although not quite as accurate as others in our team) and is excellent receiving the ball under pressure and has excellent recovery/defensive ability. But the big factor: he is 20million - get him for 20m, even if he had an average season with us we could sell him for more than that a year later. Such little financial risk. Even if you don't rate him think of him as superior Elneny replacement with the potential to be our Partey replacement!
Frenkie De Jong - Possibly, not sure because of his injury record and whether he would adapt to the physicality of the PL, but I had the same doubts about Odegaard. He is supremely gifted technically, brilliant in possession and lovely range of passing/vision.
in Short:
Kudus: Covers the forward positions
Hato: CB and LB cover and we have a long term successor to Saliba
Fofana: DM/CM cover
FDJ: CM cover
Signing both Fofana and FDJ allow us to play Rice either further forward or as a DM, we can work out who works best next to him.
A central defender, a midfielder and a striker. Jesus can play on the wings so no need for a winger.
I think Frankie De jong and Kudus would be amazing for us. Hard just to say 1. Id also like Diomande as a defensive option.....

I'd love him in but it's bittersweet for me, because we probably need to shift ESR first. I'm Ghanaian so Kudus at Arsenal would be incredible
I understand where you're coming from, but shifting ESR might be inevitable. I am a big fan and it's certainly a very sad thing. Having said that: it's professional football and sometimes tough decisions have to be made.
If he left for Kudus, I could live with it. Kudus has a similar ceiling. NB I didn't say form or recent history, I said ceiling...

Yes Kudus can play across the front three but what interests me is that he can solve our attacking left 8 gap as well (and swap left/right with Odegaard in game). If Partey goes, that means we can look for a predominantly 6 replacement without them needing to be a 6/8. That makes him worth close to £80m for me.

Been saying this since last year, really still can’t believe we passed up the opportunity to sign him for £30m for so even though we were heavily linked with him for so long at the end of the last transfer window.
It's easy to say when we know his development result now. Even if we got him last year, his growth could be not as good because of the limited playing time.

Kudus for 35m was the biggest mistake Arsenal made last summer. We wouldn’t be talking about a winger if we have gotten him. He can play left, right or even central.
James I’m absolutely as convinced about Kudus as you are , and I think so are Arsenal ( he was on their scouted list ) . Infact I would go so far as to say , if we had to buy only one player this season …. it should be Kudus ! Next season Jamal Musiala 😁
I like your thinking. Absolutely everything and anything should be done to sign either (preferably both) Musiala &/or Simons over these next 2 season.
Signing both of those, with a world class LB (and eventually GK) we genuinely will be a top 2 or 3 team in the world

Just look at West ham last season with 30%, 25% possession every game. He automatically doesn't have much of the ball but the little he gets he makes a goal or assist, imagine him playing in a team with more possession and more attacking

Agree completely on Kudus - let's get him. You could see his class when he played in The Netherlands, but I had a slight doubt about his physicality in the Premier League. I no longer do. We could see it in his perfomance v Arsenal at the Emirates - he worked his balls off defending as well as attacking.
Before I even watch this video, I've been telling everyone that'll listen that kudus is the guy we should be going for. You want a left 8, he can play that. You want goals, he's got it. You want creativity and pace, he's got it.. You want a sub for saka, he's your guy. He checks so many boxes. I think the only that's the downside is dealing with west ham again. Their fans are still so bitter about the sale of Rice that they'll be an uproar if they sell kudus to us too. Or else go put 60-70m on the table and get that guy. Maybe delay the sale of Partey for a year. Buy a replacement DM next summer. Use nketia or lokonga in a player plus cash deal.

Would love Kudus. Still young, can cover Saka, play on the left and centrally. Unfortunately I dont think its realistic. West Ham will want at least 80m and i cant see Arsenal paying that
80 mil is a snip, theyd want closer to 100 mil as theres talk of an 80 mil release clause that kicks in next summer as mentioned by Ornstein.

@@AphiweKhumalo Not a fan of people overhyping players when they all clearly watched him for the first time. I love the fact that his game brings about chaos but often struggle to see any control. He still hits me as raw.
The reason I'm not convinced with him isn't necessarily because he is a bad player, it's because we isolate players on the wing and he's not the most technically secure like Yamal, Pedro Neto or Mo Kudus
@@AphiweKhumalo don't u think for a player who is able to use both feet and is a good dribbler will be able to adapt quicker plus we know arteta is good with developing young players and he can obviously play nd rotate in both flanks so he brings more dynamism in de team which arteta appreciates.

Either way if we do bring in Nico Williams then we are going to have to spend heavily on a technically secure left 8 like de jong because Rice is not the most secure in the 8 position, so both of them in there is a recipe for an unbalanced LHS again. That's why Martinelli had a poor season last season, lowest goal scoring season since he joined the club

I think You are right Kudus would evolve our attack by a great margin the only thing that is in our way is the club his signed to. West ham would probably want 85-100 mil as you said . We all saw the Rice saga who actually wanted to join Arsenal. They could make it a bit too hard for us and our owners most times leave the chat when its comes to dramas of expensive fees with Rice recently being the exception. Dont think they would want to play that game with WestHam again.
Fantastic player. We should have got him from Ajax. West ham are unlikely to let him go after just one year for cheap. Perhaps we could go for Williams from Spain, more realistic.

My dream transfer is a player outside of Arteta's comfort zone, there's a reason why we are linked with players like Secko and many like him and not players with deadly quality like Osimhen. Arteta can't manage big players. JB when it comes to Kudus Arteta won't but a player that he feels will be disruptive to Saka, so I don't see Arsenal going for him. As much as I love Arteta his also a very weak manager, this team could have evolved 2 seasons ago but he took his time now every player we are supposed to get other teams want or already have them. Let's wait and see if we can get a player that will take us to the next level and help us win the league. My question JB is Arteta under and pressure at all from the Arsenal ownership to win the EPL for us fan, for me I don't think so, our transfers will tell us that.
Too pricey for depth. Not as good on the left, lacks explosive pace to get outside. Neto more suitable in terms of profile and price.

I could see Kudus becoming our No.9, he could become super versatile with interchanging positions with Saka and Martinelli which will make our front 3 unpredictable! Havertz and Trossard as back up is perfect. Jesus for one more season could do the job or we can keep a young academy player on the bench like Nwaneri.

Kudus is a good player but to fit him in the team some very regular players would have to be benched. That would be very difficult.
West Ham will only consider 70-75m similar on what the were trying to get for Paqueta.
It’s even amazing when you find out that in his match against Chelsea where Chelsea scored 5:0, he had the most successful dribbles in the match in a single season setting a record and he literally won the most duels. He was the only player with a green rating on the Westham team.
I have a strong feeling we may go and sign isak. It has just been reported Newcastle are interested in Dominic calvert lewin. There's no way they will sign him to sit on the bench. Could be that there getting isak replacement in first before arsenal negotiate a fee.
I think the reason Arteta didn't get him before he went to West Ham is because he thought Reiss would level up.

The position stat is not generally a good pointer that he's good to play multiple places. Although, i think he'll be a good competition for Saka and he can play upfront but i will prefer Neto instead.
The issue we have now if we buy him as back up to Saka how much will west ham sell him for considering there cost for rice. We could be paying 90 million plus for a back up player

Love your channel James, but the idea of even trying to bid or even thinking about bidding for Kudus is completely unrealistic.
We all saw how long and protracted the Declan Rice saga took, with W*nk Ham asking for a huge transfer and were also trying to engage Man City to make a bid.

Before he moved to west ham, I wanted arsenal to get him, but for some reason they didn’t. For this reason, I don’t believe in arteta/ edu’s vision, if they sleep on gems like such. I feel they would always come close, but wouldn’t realize winning major trophies, because of such incompetence from them.
