- I've had the PS5 for 2 weeks now and the dust has attacked my front trim. I didn't want to touch it in fear of scratching the middle piano black plastic so i got a DBrand middle skin for the Playstation 5. I got the black option because i like how the console looks already. And in this video I install the middle skin from dbrand. A little but of a how to install ps5 skin video.

I've only had my ps5 for 3 days and already scratched the surface while trying to dust it
feeling you right now, i’ve had it for 2 days, decided to check on it with flash and there’s a deep scratch? i didn’t even touch it, and micro scratches all over it im pissed

You could try to get a air purifier with a heap filter to help with your dust.

nah thats smart tho, i dont remembered if my ps5 had that peel 🤔
I do that now with all my shit, but wish I did it with the ps5 it's never been cleaned since day 1 and I might leave it.. I'll know that under that dust there's no scratches YET. XD

I broke the world record guys... I unboxed a new PS5 and it had some very small paper pieces/dust sticked on the middle of it's surface , maybe from the packaging box. I took a new Swiffer towel to swipe it and immediately got scratched 😥
I only show it for 30 seconds as brand new 😢

Were the gaps because it wasn't applied perfectly straight or because it wasn't a perfect fit?
I believe Dbrand have their measurements correct. I think it was most likely a user error. But the gapt doesn't bother me. I have 99% of the surface protected
Will I ruined the warranty if I stick the sticker just like you?
u’ll still have the warranty as you’re not tinkering with the console but just putting on a sticker 👍🏻

To clean without scratching, just use a tape, preferably one with a not so strong glue.

Totally agreed,mine got scratchs after 1 week,unfortunately it is not easy to find dbrand middleskins in my country 😔

It took me 5 tries to get the skin on perfect and I mean perfect because its never coming off.
haha its a good thing the skins are so reusable😂 i had some trouble lining it up later in the video but the off centre is minuscule
Not forgetting how cheap these things sound 😅 I remember unboxing my first one on launch and i was so sad when I lifted it and it sounded like a old wooden bed 😂😂 same with my second they used the cheapest plastic ever feels like the ports gonna rip out too when I unplug something

I didn't have my ps5 a day, wanted to carefully wipe away a smudge that was there and it was brand new and clean after a few wipes it got ruined, i'm still furious about it, i also noticed when you wipe it there is still some sort of coating over the plastic which makes the cloth not wipe smooth and cause even more scratches. Sad that Sony never learned from their mistakes if you look back at ps3 and ps4.
yea when i got my ps5 i didnt touch the gloss until this video i didnt wonna take any chances but honestly the dust prolly made some micro scratches anyway 🤷♂️
@@luxarxtv We technically all know that this type of plastic shall scratch no matter what even a slight touch with your finger tips makes z scratch, i ordered a dbrand skin too and for sure when i wipe it to clean it, i'm sure it dill scratch all the way but i wouldn't care anymore when it's covered up and pretend it's not there lol, you'll see when they bring the ps5 slim all the gloss will be gone like usual 😂 i'd get a slim asap then

@@Supremepikachufuture me the slim has gloss. and even they make gloss on 1 plate each side ( u can buy matte faceplate but my point that theyre dumb enough to make more gloss after alot of reports).
Scratch x 6-7 times works makes it looks better then new Wich is sad
I went with a carbon fiber one from amazon I learned from my ps4 so I did not want mines to scratch but mines before applying it I used my electric duster and blew it all away then put the skin like bro I feel you what's with the fucken piano black Jesus Christ sony you should have gone mat black dam it
whoa carbon fiber would look awesome on the ps5, sad dband doesn't make that skin
Does the heat generated by the console cause the plastic tape to melt and stick to the body?
to be honest im not sure you would have to contact dbrand for that, they know more about their adhesive material 👍🏻

i have the middle skin of ps5 standard can i use it for ps5 digital
yes you can use it, the dimensions are the same but you will have a little cutout above the power button because its used for the eject button so if you’re ok with that you can stick the sticker 👍🏻

I have a Two Year warranty on my ps5 but could I still put that warp cover on it even if something happens to my ps5?
I got the retro gray it looks sick
i was also thinking of getting the retro grey but decided to keep the original look of the console with protected middle. if i were to get the retro grey i would also want the retro grey plates but i dont like how they cut off the corners unfortunately..
@@luxarxtv duuude mine looks so sweet though I got the retro gray 2.0 plates and a carbon gray middle skin and then just for shits and giggles I bought these metal sony stickers from ebay some guy in Poland makes them and holy shit it looks official lol wish I could share a pic sony would be pissed.
Sony should’ve at least put a clear plastic sticker over it, i would never peel it off if they did

Is it easy to remove ?
on their site it says they use 3M adhesive and i’ve seen videos of people removing them from their laptops. it does take some force but it doesn’t stick forever

Thanks! I definitely recommend the skin. The matte side panels and matte middle look so much better than the gloss black from factory, and the installation is super easy 👍🏻

You can customize ps5 more than the xbox though by buying custom plates or custom middle skins to protect the gloss finish
true they did a good job in the look and material use

naaaah man it looks good for like the first 5 minutes after you unwrap the console, after that it’s horrible
