I’ve also heard Mashiro and Yeseo started recording the songs even before their Kep1er contract was up and the company said they were planning for Madein to have 2 or 3 comebacks this year, without any hiatus, which is insane imo, Mashiro already looks exhausted from no having any break after the 3 Kep1er concerts in Japan. It makes me worried for the members because I want them to be successful and to continue to enjoy being in a group together but I don’t want them to be heavily overworked. I also hope 143 is gonna treat them more equally then what we see now in the UNO music videos:)

But in general the limelight mvs were so much more charming on what I have to assume is a similar budget The company apparently got a pretty well-known movie director to direct the mv, which sounds pretty great initially. Except that means you get a music video by someone who... doesn't have experience making music videos. And I think that shows in the end product.
I don't know exactly what inspired all the AI shots, but Digital Masta almost immediately apologised, accepted all responsibility, and promised a new MV ASAP; just six days later they dropped the Natural version, which while you _may_ still have some of the colour grading issues with it, I think is a vast improvement... they really should have unlisted this version and made the new one the real MV, because as you did, reactors who don't know what happened are still finding this MV first, and it's a real shame that your opinion is soured straight off the bat when it doesn't need to be. LimeLight's videos were pretty great, quite possibly on a much _lower_ budget, so yeah, not really much excuse; they must have just used a different team who they hopefully won't next time. 😜 But, as you say, this song absolutely _slaps,_ and the rest of the EP is fantastic too. I remember you absolutely loving what you saw of LimeLight (I've been a LimeLight fan since predebut), and I think this actually follows on quite well from where they were going with their music. Apparently they're planning to drop something like three more releases over the next year, and I'm looking forward to it!

It was already ridiculous that they put AI in the video and then you see the AI version of the girls and they aren't even recognizable (imo). They might not have had enough budget to work with but there are so many nugu groups out there with the same dilemma but they're still able to make it work. So them doing AI instead just felt low, uninspired, and felt like there's a lack of care towards the group. I mean, shit, I'd watch the MV even if it was just one or two shooting locations so long as there were varying shots. If they wanted to put effort into the MV, they would but obviously they didn't. I just want the best for all the girls, hopefully the comeback is better.

The bsides, physical album and promotions so far have been very well made, there was a lot of hype for this group from both limelight, kep1er fans and new fans.. the company clearly had a 'big reveal' fantasy for this debut but the mv was somehow left behind 😭 I really dont understand it
PD! pls watch the "natural version" with significantly less ai (only 1 or 2 scenes) although the performance version is very nice too. Also the two members you're not familiar with are Serina and Nagomi. They were on the PD101 show that formed ME:I. I personally think it's really fun that they have 4 japanese members compared to 3 korean. ALSO! I've heard reports that they're supposed to have 3 or 4 comebacks within the next year which is definitely something.
5:25 you know pd is an experience reactor when he tries to soften the blow as much as he could wahaha (would comment in as an editor and as a shoot planner) 6:18 a lot of the weird color grading choices where made because of the poor lighting that the outdoor scenes were taken. they had to compensate for it by adding in stylized color grades, looked weird, added in effects.. regardless of the original intention(if they were really going for that look in the first place), the lack of experience of the team is evident. even to the point that the editor had a hard time mixing the multiple cameras that have been used. thats not on the editor's side though, problem lay with the one who decided which gears to use and not check if those gears would jive with each other 6:28 this is what ive been grambling from the start. lack of focused beauty shots for individual members. its not just because of the ai, even their corrected version of the mv doesnt have that many focused beauty shots. safe to assume that they did not even consider shooting it on the first place, no place on the shoot board at all. which again shows the lack of experience of the team. (more experienced team would get those focused beauty shots on the shoot board, record it, regardless if they would be used on the final mv or not) also, the point of a debut mv is to introduce the members regardless if people know them or not. they not only failed to introduce the 2 new members, they also failed to balance in limelight(ot3) and yeshiro in to the mix. 6:43 read somewhere that one of their bigger investor is heavy ai focused. dont know if its true or not, but if it is, then it explaines a ton 6:46 yap.. really unsettling... 6:55 ironically enough, limelight(ot3) also had those kinds of shots before, but they were beautifully lit and set dressed. they were doing fine with limelight so i had high expectations for 143 to step up the game for madein.. instead we got a very watered down version of what they did for limelight 7:03 agreed.. like i said above, really poor lighting choices.. but the natural lighting is not the problem itself.. it seems like they planned along to use natural lighting as much as possible. maybe to cut cost, or more maybe the director of cinematography has a photography background and is leaning more on natural lights.. but the problem is, the weather did not get along with them. what they wanted was a fair sky, giving a soft fair light. what they got was a cloudy uneven light that most probably changes like mad... problem with that was they didnt have a back-up plan and just rolled with it regadless.. 8:28 they had better control over indoor lighting, so those indoor shots end up the better part of the mv. regardless of how poor the lighting is, controlled lighting is still ways better than just wishing luck on weather.. 9:00 they were trying to get a "dreamy" vibe since shiro was supposed to be dreaming and parts of the mv are supposed to be part of that dream.. but very few people got the whole story flow of the mv cause they did a very poor flow 9:25 yap... most of the things happening is to make for 1) poor lighting 2) poor shot/story boarding 3) poor planning of camera gears 9:50 that grass land, correct me if im wrong but im guessing they were planning to shoot it golden hour, but as the weather didnt cooperate they had to rushly place up lights to get the clips. then they redid it with green screen later to supplement the angles they need.. but because the original clips had problematic lighting on the first place, then theres little to salvage that even the green screen were left messy. funilly ironic if they were not green screens, just means they messed up that badly... 10:30 completely agree.. whole album is worth the listen too.. 10:45 surprised how you didnt catch the messy tracking on the words 11:10 one of my bigger concern on the mv is the "blooming flowers" scattered accross the whole mv.. what are they doing with the most blatant inuendo on a group that has very young members... 14:38 poorly planned shoot board.. no back-up shots at all.. no varying shots.. which is funny because if standards are to go by beautyshots, dance shots, singing shots are the most basic "must be shots" regardless if they would be used on the final mv along with their wide, mid, long varieties and individual, group, sub-groups grouping. 17:17 yap.. the re-edited version mv did stripped out most of the unecessary stuffs, but it did highlight how they dont really have that much varied shots planned and recorded. 18:40 has said it somewhere, 143 really excelled whenever they have very few members to focus on. they have documentaries focusing on yeshiro, then limelight ot3, then the 2 new members. it was on point. but they really have problems mixing all the members together. they not only overlap each other, they also fail to balance out the different members. 19:12 re-edit wouldnt do much.. unless they took down the original ai mv, it wouldnt matter... 19:21 agreed.. i dont support ai usage accross the board, but on this case, its not the ai that really ruined it. 20:35 have to agree as well.. the idea is there, the concept is there.. this feels like the initial draft passed without revision, then got through it. overall, its not the lack of budget(monetary and time) for me, its the way they used the little budget they had. as little budget they had, they also wasted it by planning poorly and running through it.. lack of experience, you could forgive, everyone starts from it.. planning poorly, being on the field knowing that what you planned was not going right but still going through with whats on the paper despite kniwing its not going to work properly.. then thats.... its very rushed, but you know that its not from the production's side. what i dont like about what happened was 143 had years to prepare for it. members and fans know that limelight was just a temporary 3 member group. members and fans know that yeshiro would at some point go back to 143 and join limelight. its logical to think that 2-3 new members would be added more. but why does it feel like 143 was the one who didnt know that it would happen.

As soon as the split screen and the wiping transitions, I knew it’s gonna go down hill and then the AI scenes showed up and all my excitement for this group was gone. This music video had to be one of the worst from this year and it’s really a shame because I wanted Yeshiro to be successful in their new group.

I was waiting for you to react on Madein after making a video to limelight honestly. Sadly they collaborated with different team and those people put some AI on the girls. Guess they didn't delete the first video because they are partnered with the people in credits . It will get a trouble if they didn't follow so they made a Natural Version to delete girls AI scenes. Hoping next comeback they won't negotiate with these people and bring back LIMELIGHT's editing team so it will be better for their MV.
PD, did you happen to change any of your audio or recording equipment within this last round of uploads? In between every word you say there's a static sound. It's incredibly distracting. It's not there when you're speaking, only when you stop speaking. I've heard it before when someone was filming using Bluetooth so that's why i asked about the equipment because this sound wasn't in any older videos. I tested it and I hear it on multiple different devices. Just curious because it's very weird sounding and distracting. But either way, thanks for your videos, you're doing so great! In the beginning the girl puts the headphones on and falls into a light sleep. So is this mv taking place in her dreams? If so i feel like the mv makes alot of sense. People hating on ai. But technology is the future. And ai is a part of it. Youre prolly using a form of ai as you read this.

it makes me a bit sad because the quality of the video is definitely not for a lack of care, effort, or vision. i think the re-uploaded version proves this. i think maybe there was a desire for something more fantastic and grand like other kpop videos but they weren’t able to achieve this with their budget.

This 'redebut' was one of the most disappointing things to come out of kpop. Song was good but it was absolutely let down by questionable business decisions and heavy usage of AI, which was poorly timed as well with the current deepfake scandals in Korea atm. They rebranded Limelight for no reason IMO, and this redebut is every example of why I was against them adding new members. Was not worth separating Yeseo and Mashiro from Kep1er for this as well. Whoever is making the business decisions at 143 for Madein, they need to be stopped. Theyve ruined something so special with Limelight and the girls dont deserve it. This debut was lazy, low budget, questionably edited, and disrespectful to the members.

I’m not sure if they were trying to ruin their debut or thought AI would make it more engaging, but it was a mess. Some of the AI characters didn’t even look like them! That being said, the song was fantastic. Awesome reaction, by the way!

I was waiting for you to react on Madein after making a video to limelight honestly. Sadly they collaborated with different team and those people put some AI on the girls. Guess they didn't delete the first video because they are partnered with the people in credits . It will get a trouble if they didn't follow so they made a Natural Version to delete girls AI scenes. Hoping next comeback they won't negotiate with these people and bring back LIMELIGHT's editing team so it will be better for their MV.
The natural version was sooo much better than this AI crap they gave these poor girls. Literally ruined the mood of their debut for me …

PD, did you happen to change any of your audio or recording equipment within this last round of uploads?
In between every word you say there's a static sound. It's incredibly distracting. It's not there when you're speaking, only when you stop speaking. I've heard it before when someone was filming using Bluetooth so that's why i asked about the equipment because this sound wasn't in any older videos. I tested it and I hear it on multiple different devices.
Just curious because it's very weird sounding and distracting.

In the beginning the girl puts the headphones on and falls into a light sleep. So is this mv taking place in her dreams? If so i feel like the mv makes alot of sense. People hating on ai. But technology is the future. And ai is a part of it. Youre prolly using a form of ai as you read this.

it makes me a bit sad because the quality of the video is definitely not for a lack of care, effort, or vision. i think the re-uploaded version proves this. i think maybe there was a desire for something more fantastic and grand like other kpop videos but they weren’t able to achieve this with their budget.
They made a huge mistake using AI because the hype immediately died down after that….
I'm totally biased, I'll love every positive things PD will point out and hate anything negative :D Madein is the cutest group of 2024, period (even Yeseo awesome S line is cute) and their first album is very good! They are on my fav wagon with H1-Key and Rescene.

This 'redebut' was one of the most disappointing things to come out of kpop. Song was good but it was absolutely let down by questionable business decisions and heavy usage of AI, which was poorly timed as well with the current deepfake scandals in Korea atm. They rebranded Limelight for no reason IMO, and this redebut is every example of why I was against them adding new members. Was not worth separating Yeseo and Mashiro from Kep1er for this as well. Whoever is making the business decisions at 143 for Madein, they need to be stopped. Theyve ruined something so special with Limelight and the girls dont deserve it. This debut was lazy, low budget, questionably edited, and disrespectful to the members.

@@ericccky nope this is different. they outsold 60k albums already. you don't know how big Mashiro , Nagomi and Serina's fandom in japan. The difference is inLUVs are still supporting the group, it's not all about Yeshiro. They are here for their bias to support .

The decision to use AI for the needed fantasy dream sequences was correct - since they're obviously on a low budget, but the execution was awful. Good thing the song was great.
