Overlapping furniture should just be a feature that’s included for pc and console. Also I feel like for console you can’t put as many things outdoors 😭 I’m just imagining all the fun extra designs I could do with more variety of furnishings! But super helpful video. The tip about creating paths first is a good one and imma use it for my next build!

@stephenriggs8177:mine won’t even give me the option to add crafting stations to the vivariums lol I did however add breeding stations and beast feeding stations though so I don’t have to worry about going in and feeding the animals 24/7 so they can feed themselves when Iam out of the room of requirement
@megz1794: same here, I only get 4 conjuration categories in the Vivarium. The others ones are only for use inside the room of requirement. I’m guessing it’s a mod?
@@hpfan0808 my game has been weird for a while now but it could also have something to do with me only being at like level 38 though or maybe one of the other versions of the game lets people add stations to the vivariums or mod would work too. Iam sure there’s a reason for it. If it is possible to add potion and planting stations in the vivariums someone else could just have a different version of the game or be at a different level than half of us
@@hpfan0808 but I also only have found like 110/140 conjurations in the game as well. So maybe there’s something else that we don’t know about how it works to put stuff into the vivariums since the room of requirement expands as we find more stuff
This is so awesome. I've never been much of a decorator but your skills are amazing and I'm glad that your showing people how to create something beautiful and as good as every thing you've done
IMO both RoR and vivariums are great, but I wish there was a proper building mode and both us and Beasts could interact with more objects. Because gameplay wise all you need is only few pieces to make everyone happy. Beast just walk around buildable area but imagine Thestrals or Hipogriffs chilling on those big building pieces (especially the one in 01:14), "cats" and Puffskeins sleeping in the caves or on benches, Mooncalves jumping through smaller fences, toads swimming in the water or birds sittind in the trees.
I agree! That would've been really cool to see that in the game. One thing I wish we had as far as build items is a stable! Kinda like you said, something they can go in and lay down and just hangout. Maybe in the future they will update it to make it feel a little bit more interactable :)
A build mode and interactions between beasts and the environment would be huge. However, the lack of a build mode is the biggest reason I can't be bothered with decorating. Moving and adjusting the parts is a huge pain. If there was an overhead grid and lateral view it would be easier to create a floor plan. It would also be helpful for better visualizing the space to lay out the pieces. That being said, respect to@@LucidDiamond this looks amazing.

I literally left mine natural apart from the feeders etc as I wanted it to feel different to the actual world outside of the vivarium. But good job 👏🏻 x
The way you designed your vivarium actually reminded me of a place in the uk called Yorkshire, it bought loads of happy memories for me of when I used to go on holiday thank you 😊
Seriously great job! I love the room of requirement and vivariums part of this game and I’m glad they added this. I always like the decorating aspect of games. I still haven’t found the time to do this but I work a lot of hours and am a parent but I can’t wait to decorate my space. This is absolutely stunning! You have inspired me to re-create my dream home in this space. My Great Grandfather built his own cabin by hand way back in the 1940s+ and it's one of my favorite places to visit cause he owned a ton of land of the valley behind it so it's just this beautiful wood cabin home that sits across the lakes and with a valley behind it and for years I've wanted to ask my family if I could live there and purchase it since my Aunt owns it now that my great grandfather passed. It would be a lot of work but I really think about it and since I'm unlikely to have that space for a very long time (it will go to my dad then me) but I can build it here in game and enjoy it. My great grandfather and I didn't get to spend a lot of time together but the time we did have was full of laughs, and smiles and he was just a loveable guy the whole town loved him lots. I'll miss being able to have breakfast with him ☺ perhaps if we ever get to interact with the things in game being able to enter the home would be cool even if we can't change it around or whatnot then I can setup a breakfast spot
I already was in awe of the vivariums and their atmospheres. Thank you for showing off their true potential! On a side note, your content is very very high quality. Especially for a seemingly pretty new channel. Keep it up and you'll go far on here. I find that quality + consistency is well rewarded on the platform.

Really well done, and inspiring! I didn’t think about decorating the vivariums! Silly me…. Gonna just do that now. It also pushes me to finish all quests and exploration to find more decorations items!

Great tips for the vivarium! I love the idea of a crafting space in there. Often we have our crafting spaces made before we get our vivs so this opens up a chance for changes! Awesome and thanks! Gonna give this to my gf too who plays 😁

It's not forbidden to mod the game. If it were a multiplayer game and I was modding it to earn more money or do certain things other's cant, then that's when it becomes forbidden. Mods are simply add-on's to your game. So downloading a broom to replace a different one would be considered a mod

I can't wait to start decorating. I'm waiting until I get all the bits and pieces unlocked. Putting the floor down is a great idea. I haven't done that but it really does help I see. My 1st one has just a bunch of random stuff so I can see what it looks like, but im super excited to start decorating soon! Lol
Decorating is so fun! It can take a lot of patience but the end result is so satisfying! I'm not sure if you're playing on pc or console, but in this video I used mods that let me do some things console players can't like overlapping items. yeah will the developers need more time on the switch version. They said the game for the switch will be beautiful which is rare for a powerful game like this on the switch though.

@@angelinarobbins1567 I bought a ps5 just for Hogwarts Legacy and keep switching between playing games on my Switch and ps5 for some weeks now. Now I understand what everyone was talking about when they complain about the performance issues of the Switch. I never noticed when I used the Switch on it’s own, but now I have the comparison and I am kind of annoyed sometimes when I play Switch games now. I really, really hope that the Switch version makes the experience still enjoyable.
I wasn't as interested in the vivarium's until I started building in them because it was scary for me at first trying to figure out how to take up the space. But It definitely helps make it feel a lot more magical and like your own little spot to hangout once it's customized the way you want 🥰

There are a ton more mods outside of this as well! You can get new brooms, the sword on my back is a mod. There’s clothing and character face retextures. It’s a lot of stuff. Definitely play it on pc if you can! :)
Thank you!! :) If you're playing on console you can't place certain things in the vivarium's that you would be able to place in the ROR sadly. I made this video to give tips & tricks but to also recreate a little bit of my first build to show people how I built it :) I play on pc so I have access to mods and I used one that allowed me to conjure items like the work stations, furniture, etc.! If you need/want anymore help though and you play on console I do have a tips & tricks video for console players as well

This is SO cool... so beautiful. I've watched game play and most have trouble just placing a feeder or breeding pen. I can't imagine how you managed all of this. I guess you must have some mods... I think I noticed a ram in one of your vivariums. Either way, I love what you did.

Amazing guide, I never realized there was so much customization that could be done with the vivarium. Looks like I'm going to stop making progress in the game and just spend hours decorating.
@@LucidDiamond Playing on PC, I love games that allow me to mod them since I prefer tuning gameplay to what is fun for me. Wish more games supported wide spread modding like Hogwarts. 😄
@@Battletide. I am the same way! After creating this video, I've realized a lot of people see modding a game as bad or pointless. But I think they are just like add-ons to your game to make it more fun! Now if you're using illegal mods on a server that's different lol. I think more games should support mods as well :)

This is great. I though there was a lot of wasted space in the vivarium. I didn;t realize that you could put pots for the plants in there. Also what is the outfit? I love it.
Dang. I WISH i could put items so close that they fase together. Not to mention having ALL of the items available inside of the vivarium. Mods for the win

When you load up the game and go into your vivarium, sometimes as all the objects are spawning in an animal can be on top then when the objects appears they stand weird lol. But they can still move around and function normally as long as there's enough space for them to walk & such!

How comes you can place items down anywhere? Even overlapping other items on PlayStation we can't do that we are limited to how we place items down. If one item overlaps another it doesn't let you place it.
I used mods in this video! I made this for pc players with mods, but since you're on console I have another video just like this but for console players if you're interested in that :) Sadly it's not possible to overlap items if you aren't using mods
Even though I'm on PS5, this video was extremely helpful. The road-mapping is definitely the best way to go first. I'm like 60% done with my Forest vivarium now thanks to the tips in this video (get chests/butterflies/etc for conjurations if anyone needs help). RoR was finished but pray for me lol, I still got the other 3 vivariums & finishing the game entirely still to do xD.
I really wanted to make sure my tips could be useful for anyone and not just pc players with access to mods! So I'm really glad you found this helpful 🥺💜 I'm sure your vivarium's are going to look amazing once they are finished ✨

I don’t have much options for the buildings etc though, are all of the vivarium conjurations from collection chests? Should I just go around the world and get the collection chests so I have all the options available? Thank you!!
You're welcome! 🤍 I finished the main story, but I pretty much halted the game as well since I started building 😅 Mostly because it takes a lot of time but also so I don't 100% complete the game super quick. I believe you unlock them through the collection chests yes. I am playing on pc and used a mod that unlocked everything for me! But I would say its a lot easier to build with mostly everything unlocked :)
OK seen your pinned comment about you are using mods. But my question is, before using a mod, did you decorate? If so was there a together total placed items cap on all vivariums? Or does each vivarium have its own item placement capacity? A response would be amazing, but totally understand if you don't have time to answer. Cuz I am so looking forward to designing each vivarium & my RoR. 😊🤘🏻
Yes I did! and there is an item cap on each vivarium. It should be the same amount of items for each but I'm not 100% sure on that! If you're playing on console, I did just create a video giving tips & tricks for people who can't use mods! That might be more helpful for you if you're interested

Personally I want to have an open structure look, so there is still some open spaces for the beasts to roam but it looks unique rather than just an empty wild area
Which version of the RoR upgrade mod did you use? I was reading the comments on the nexus about it, and it seems to break certain quests involving beasts. Did you have this issue, or did you install after those quests were complete?
I installed the mod after completing mostly all of the quests! :) I installed the all in one version! I think there are 3 files on there. The all in one lets you do multiple things but there are ROR mods that are separated too if you don't want everything
I wish it was somewhere i could go to buy all these pieces. I feel like im never going to find all of the pieces shown in the video. Just to confirm, you find these by unlocking chests? Correct? (your Vivarium looks amazing btw)

First tip! Hover over the ground so that you can place things over things, otherwise you’ll be hit with “cannot place in area occupied”

My Great Grandfather built his own cabin by hand way back in the 1940s+ and it's one of my favorite places to visit cause he owned a ton of land of the valley behind it so it's just this beautiful wood cabin home that sits across the lakes and with a valley behind it and for years I've wanted to ask my family if I could live there and purchase it since my Aunt owns it now that my great grandfather passed. It would be a lot of work but I really think about it and since I'm unlikely to have that space for a very long time (it will go to my dad then me) but I can build it here in game and enjoy it. My great grandfather and I didn't get to spend a lot of time together but the time we did have was full of laughs, and smiles and he was just a loveable guy the whole town loved him lots. I'll miss being able to have breakfast with him ☺ perhaps if we ever get to interact with the things in game being able to enter the home would be cool even if we can't change it around or whatnot then I can setup a breakfast spot

It's not forbidden to mod the game. If it were a multiplayer game and I was modding it to earn more money or do certain things other's cant, then that's when it becomes forbidden. Mods are simply add-on's to your game. So downloading a broom to replace a different one would be considered a mod

I can't wait to start decorating. I'm waiting until I get all the bits and pieces unlocked. Putting the floor down is a great idea. I haven't done that but it really does help I see. My 1st one has just a bunch of random stuff so I can see what it looks like, but im super excited to start decorating soon! Lol
Decorating is so fun! It can take a lot of patience but the end result is so satisfying! I'm not sure if you're playing on pc or console, but in this video I used mods that let me do some things console players can't like overlapping items. If you do play on console, I just made a video similar to this but for console players if you still need/want help :)

yeah will the developers need more time on the switch version. They said the game for the switch will be beautiful which is rare for a powerful game like this on the switch though.

@@angelinarobbins1567 I bought a ps5 just for Hogwarts Legacy and keep switching between playing games on my Switch and ps5 for some weeks now. Now I understand what everyone was talking about when they complain about the performance issues of the Switch. I never noticed when I used the Switch on it’s own, but now I have the comparison and I am kind of annoyed sometimes when I play Switch games now. I really, really hope that the Switch version makes the experience still enjoyable.

I wasn't as interested in the vivarium's until I started building in them because it was scary for me at first trying to figure out how to take up the space. But It definitely helps make it feel a lot more magical and like your own little spot to hangout once it's customized the way you want 🥰

There are a ton more mods outside of this as well! You can get new brooms, the sword on my back is a mod. There’s clothing and character face retextures. It’s a lot of stuff. Definitely play it on pc if you can! :)

this looks so good! for some reason i don’t have the option to place certain decor or planters or anything that i’d be able to put in my RoR.
Thank you!! :) If you're playing on console you can't place certain things in the vivarium's that you would be able to place in the ROR sadly. I made this video to give tips & tricks but to also recreate a little bit of my first build to show people how I built it :) I play on pc so I have access to mods and I used one that allowed me to conjure items like the work stations, furniture, etc.! If you need/want anymore help though and you play on console I do have a tips & tricks video for console players as well

This is SO cool... so beautiful. I've watched game play and most have trouble just placing a feeder or breeding pen. I can't imagine how you managed all of this. I guess you must have some mods... I think I noticed a ram in one of your vivariums. Either way, I love what you did.
What system are you using? Xbox won't let us layer thing on top of eachother that way. Whatever you're using definitely gets more leadway
I am playing on pc so I used a mod that turns off item placement restrictions. But if you still need/want help and you're a console player, I just uploaded a video giving tips & tricks for console players :)

@@Battletide. I am the same way! After creating this video, I've realized a lot of people see modding a game as bad or pointless. But I think they are just like add-ons to your game to make it more fun! Now if you're using illegal mods on a server that's different lol. I think more games should support mods as well :)

How do you make the builds clip into eachother? I can't put objects anywhere near eachother, it won't let me
Mods I’m afraid, only possible on pc, same as placing work stations and interior conjurations

When you load up the game and go into your vivarium, sometimes as all the objects are spawning in an animal can be on top then when the objects appears they stand weird lol. But they can still move around and function normally as long as there's enough space for them to walk & such!

How comes you can place items down anywhere? Even overlapping other items on PlayStation we can't do that we are limited to how we place items down.
If one item overlaps another it doesn't let you place it.
I used mods in this video! I made this for pc players with mods, but since you're on console I have another video just like this but for console players if you're interested in that :) Sadly it's not possible to overlap items if you aren't using mods

Even though I'm on PS5, this video was extremely helpful. The road-mapping is definitely the best way to go first. I'm like 60% done with my Forest vivarium now thanks to the tips in this video (get chests/butterflies/etc for conjurations if anyone needs help). RoR was finished but pray for me lol, I still got the other 3 vivariums & finishing the game entirely still to do xD.
I really wanted to make sure my tips could be useful for anyone and not just pc players with access to mods! So I'm really glad you found this helpful 🥺💜 I'm sure your vivarium's are going to look amazing once they are finished ✨

On ps5, it's hard to overlap items you create or the boarders turn red. You was overlapping things I couldn't dream of

I’m so glad I’ve found your video! I think I’m going to halt the story (I’m in winter) and just spend a week or so playing in the vivariums! I don’t have much options for the buildings etc though, are all of the vivarium conjurations from collection chests? Should I just go around the world and get the collection chests so I have all the options available? Thank you!!
You're welcome! 🤍 I finished the main story, but I pretty much halted the game as well since I started building 😅 Mostly because it takes a lot of time but also so I don't 100% complete the game super quick. I believe you unlock them through the collection chests yes. I am playing on pc and used a mod that unlocked everything for me! But I would say its a lot easier to build with mostly everything unlocked :)

Yes I did! and there is an item cap on each vivarium. It should be the same amount of items for each but I'm not 100% sure on that! If you're playing on console, I did just create a video giving tips & tricks for people who can't use mods! That might be more helpful for you if you're interested

Personally I want to have an open structure look, so there is still some open spaces for the beasts to roam but it looks unique rather than just an empty wild area

Which version of the RoR upgrade mod did you use? I was reading the comments on the nexus about it, and it seems to break certain quests involving beasts. Did you have this issue, or did you install after those quests were complete?
I installed the mod after completing mostly all of the quests! :) I installed the all in one version! I think there are 3 files on there. The all in one lets you do multiple things but there are ROR mods that are separated too if you don't want everything
I wish it was somewhere i could go to buy all these pieces. I feel like im never going to find all of the pieces shown in the video. Just to confirm, you find these by unlocking chests? Correct? (your Vivarium looks amazing btw)
