    I am a girl scout and I'm doing a project to earn my bronze metal. We are planning to help a dog shelter by making a paplet on how to make a non tipable water bowl, and the video really helped me.

    Such an easy DIY and like you said put some non slip rubber stuff on the bottom to protect the floors and you are all set. Nice video

      Yep! Just a couple ingredients and you're good to go. It really is a life saver for sure. I just added some yoga matt to the bottom and it made it far better. Especially if you have tile!

    Can you please post a video of your kitty using it? :) Your cat is too cute!
    I plan on doing this for my cat because she AGGRESSIVELY paws at her water dish as well as paws out the water; water splashes out everywhere and it's such a pain in the butt. I like that the blue and the red bowls stack so closely together; you could buy extra bowls and keep them on top of the cement ones; this way, if the bowls needed to be washed, you could just remove the top layer bowl. I want to try this with stainless steel bowls :) Thanks for posting this video!

    Lol…. I was waiting for a concrete blob to fall out when you tipped the bowls over….. oh well….good job even if I didn’t get a laugh.

    Metal large bowl Wal-Mart $5. Concrete Lowe's $3.48. Never need to Replace the bowl.

    Be careful of the plastic in your bowl, better to use stainless steel as some plastics degrade with the caustic nature of the concrete and will release harmful chemicals into the water! Otherwise great idea!

    Just a question... did this solve your issue with your cat moving the bowl around?

      Absolutely. I'll be using this method again very soon because it was so effective

    I’m currently up at 4am because my asshole cat keeps knocking over his bowl and spilling water EVERYWHERE then cries because he is thirsty!! It’s so stupid! I wonder why cats do this

    Heavy to wash the bowl out, more sanitary to use a metal bowl. Larger bowl+smaller bowl+oil and metal bowl + invert bow smaller bowl into larger bowl, pour concrete, bowl comes out easily to clean, plastic bowls animals can eat

    Did it work for your cat?

    I wished I could’ve seen it placed where the cat drinks to see what the cat does did it work? How much does it weigh with the cement ..my cat does the same shit trying to find a solution cause I’ve gonna through a few bowls now and towels and moving the bowls to different location nothing is working lol

    • @YourOwnAdventure
      @YourOwnAdventure  5 лет назад +1

      This absolutely works. It weighs about 5-10 pounds and even my most pesky cat cannot move it. Haven't had to deal with the water issue ever since. I just put the bowls right back where they were originally.

    • @YourOwnAdventure
      @YourOwnAdventure  6 лет назад +4

      Yes! It absolutely works. Haven't had any water issues since. Some things i've learned since making this video. Use rubber or foam(yoga matt) on the bottom concrete to prevent sliding. I would use 2 bowls per unit, somewhat like a stackable liner. Making it easier to remove the main bowl to clean. Rather than lugging the concrete block into the sink. Hope it works out!

    Why not buying an stainless still dog bowl? $10 for a large one. How you’re supposed to wash that bowl soo heavy. I washed this and expected to see something totally different.
