Eleven years later and this remains one of my all time favorite songs, especially this particular version, your female backup singer added a subtle but incredible element, not at all to detract from the immaculate accompanyment of the pedal steel, guitars and drums. Thanks Del for putting something so beautiful into this world.
My roommate got me hip to this album. I'm almost mad I hadn't heard it up until now. I can comfortably say it's one of the best folk/country/americana records I've ever heard. Brilliant. Continued success amigo.
Just fuck'n' awesome................ especially loneliness................ he sang at St.Lawrence in Qld Australia................love you son...........................
I'd love to hear the piano player from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers Benmont Tench laydown a track on this song. I don't think this could be done better. It's already a perfect track. A Benmont track would give you goosebumps.
Good music. But please be careful you don’t start faking an American drawl -- as so many Canadian performers seem to do without even thinking about it -- being a “country singer” doesn’t really require it.

Country Rock simply does not get better than this.
Is it me or does Del sound like Jim Cuddy.
What a beautiful track.
Can't wait to see you at Neat Cafe.
