Hello Trekking, highly appreciating your work. Good one. Duolingo is free and nice, but is a better option to find the native, Qualified Swahili teacher. Duolingo lack some explanation and really spoken Swahili grammar and Vocabulary. I welcome you all to my channel. Regards
Thank you for providing such a thorough and detailed information about traveling to TZ! My girlfriends and I are heading there to celebrate a special birthday for a very special girl! On behalf of all of us, THANK YOU!!!
This is the MOST informative video out there for East Africa travel. I’ve searched everywhere and was able to piecemeal this information. I wish I’d seen your video first! 🤦🏽♀️
Daladala came from a word dollar which was equivalent to 5 shillings in the 80’s .Daladala were operating illegally until 1982. You are detail oriented to your adventure in Tanzania. Karibu tena Tanzania.
Ahaha I kinda like the way you speaks about Tanzania, seems like the best Area and on of the remarkable place. but the moto is "Freedom and Unity" now i guess. we grown up now and we moving very fast.
What a brilliant Sharing my friend! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from a solo mountain hiker from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan.
Thanks for the thorough information. My first return to Africa will be to Rwanda in August. After Rwanda I have chosen Tanzania as my next destination ...I hope to stay there for 2-5 years. Is there a Real Estate company that you may recommend?
Thanks for such a detailed video. I’m traveling to Tanzania this fall and have just a few questions: do you think it’s a good idea to get bottled water at the airport? you mentioned the typhoid vaccine, did you travel there prior to 2020? I saw it may be discontinued….what’s a customary tip for assisting with luggage, etc?
Than you for the valuable info. 1)Were you asked for your Yellow Fever vaccine when you arrived, even though it's not required? 2)which travel insurance company did you use?
I didn’t use a local SIM card. I used Airalo mobile app to use an e-SIM but if you’ll be using a lot of data and plan to be in the country for a long time, a local SIM card is the way to go.
It depends on the activities you have planned. If you’re climbing Kilimanjaro or doing a safari check with the company you’re with about their tipping guidelines and plan accordingly.
To climb the mountain we used Kandoo adventures for Zanzibar island we planned on our own and for the safari we were referred to an individual. If you want more details, send me an email to wearetrekkingpals@gmail.com
In terms of water and hot water in Tanzania. You mentioned you went to Lake Eyasi, Serengeti Park and Kilimanjaro Mountain. How did you expect to find hot water and a lot of water in a Camping site or in the National wild Parks? Everything in those areas is limited because of the wildness environment. For those reasons you cannot say or generalize that Tanzania has no hot water or enough water to take showers. Just tell your people that; whenever they plan to go to those remote areas which are far from the city, and most are wildness then they should not expect hot and a lot of water and instead they should pack/carry those wipes. We do the same when go to Camps in the US and other places in the world.
Who are you?We people of African diaspora around the world, the narrative has changed we have enough of our African You Tubers vlogers to get our information, so I guess you're giving that information to, your people thanks God we as dispora are on the continent to welcome us home.
Hi your video is very helpful and informative! Do you happen to know if they charge extra for bringing a sony camera and laptop into Dar Es Salaam at customs ?
@@TrekkingPals Phew I was reconsidering going there if they were potentially going to charge me for my personal belongings 😅. I watched a youtuber say he got charged for his camera gear 1000 usd (he says he was surprised but they usually charge between 3-6 grand , so he got the 'better' end) The majority seems to not have a problem though. Thank you for the reassurance 🙏
@@TrekkingPals I dont know. I even read a person post about it on TripAdvisor the title is bribery encountered at airport customs, where they told him he will be charged for a carrying 2 cameras. People who commented on his post noted to always carry a complaint form when going to the airport just incase someone starts saying they will charge you but others wrote this is normal policy. So confusing😕

Thanks for this informative video🙏🏻. Did you get the YF vaccine? I am traveling to Tanzania in 2 days and my tour guide told me is not mandatory. Ty
We did not get it. It was not mandatory for us coming from the USA.
Very informative video . How much would you pay for a tuk tuk ride in Arusha . Thank you .
Thanks for the thorough information.

No question about the yellow fever vaccine unless if you’re entering from Kenya. I used world nomads.
Can you guide us if you took a local simcard and which one you would say is best for travelers.
I didn’t use a local SIM card. I used Airalo mobile app to use an e-SIM but if you’ll be using a lot of data and plan to be in the country for a long time, a local SIM card is the way to go.

What are the test / forms required for travel from mainland TZ to Zanzibar? (i.e. internal flight)
There was only one form they asked us to file when we landed in the airport in Zanzibar.
Thank you - so no requirements pre flight from mainland TZ to Zanzibar?
Did you use a travel agent for your trip? If so, which one? Thanks for the detailed info.

Nooo!! I brought way more than that for electronics and gear to make content. You’ll be fine.

How many days does it take to get a visa for Tanzania when you are the citizen of France?
