Hi Dave I'm glad U going so well with Ur work,I haven't been watching Ur work late, not in good health but today I saw Ur video, keep going mate, all the best, always a pleasure to see U working, bye ,
Brilliant 👍 can't wait for the next one 😁 weather has finally improved and it's 28 Celsius today, I've been helping the neighbors top their pine trees and massive hedges 😂 probably should have left that job till winter 😂 👋
Great idea, Dave. So many people waste precious space by battening outside the structural members. I can't wait to see how you do the panels and the carpeting. I think it's going to work out really well. Can I ask what screws you used to fix the battens to the steel and what size wood you used for the battens please. Very many thanks, Mike
Thanks Mike. I used 38mm self tappers to fix the battens to the steel, you could get away with smaller ones but I had a load of the 38mm in the workshop. The battens themselves are 18 x 44mm.
Yes I looked at the bathroom cladding....It's very light and easy to use. But for this one I have decided on the pine cladding with tramlines between then on a ply background.....that video will be coming soon. Thanks.
Love your work and how meticulous you are with your builds im just about to start my own van conversion can you tell me what the white insulation is that you use and roughly how much i would need for a swb vivaro thanks keep up the good work
Coming along nice Dave, I always wondered though, with heat rising is it really necessary to have so much insulation on the floor? I know everyone does this but a lot of height is lost. I bet a lot of people will be wondering this also. What about colour scheme on this one? Cheers Dave, gr8 video as usual.
Hi Chris.....A lot of cold comes up through the floor at night and I think it's always best to insulate the floor.......you could use a closed cell foam which is only 10mm thick. I think I'll do the framework of the cabinets a mid grey colour and the cabinet doors a very deep purple....I think that will be a good contrast.
I think you would need a little more insulation for those temperatures. Here in the UK it never gets that low but I will be insulating the walls and putting a heater in this van. Thanks.
Danke!
I Can`t afford much, but hopefully this may Help
Many thanks that's greatly appreciated.
It`s a real Joy watching you doing your Builds.
Entertaining and REAL INFORMATION.
Thanks for this Video and till next Week
Thanks a lot. I think it's electrics and insulation next week.

Thanks a lot....I wish it was 28c here....It was down to 5c last week and I could not get much done on the van.
Your attention to detail Dave 👌👏
Many thanks Carol. The build is coming along.

The roof in mine I used the white bathroom cladding

@@dave-watson Sounds great.
would this be warm enough for -30c. It's already -25c here, with lots of snow.
🥶 stay warm
