Breathtaking Small and Great Soca Gorge in Julian Alps, Slovenia

The Soca river has carved an interesting path from its spring in the mountains, down to the Valley. The small Soca Gorge reaches up to 6 meters of depth and is a real feast for the eyes, but The Great Soca Gorge goes up to 15 meters deep and is a real test for the bravest swimmers.
The average temperature in summer season is only around 10°C, yet it is a popular destination for jumping in the cold water.
Although there is a road that goes nearby, I would recommend you visit both by foot. You can tackle the Soča Trail or The Alpe Adria Trail and earn your cold shower in the summer days.
