When played at this level, cricket is a more strategic game than '01 because of the decision making that takes place over multiple rounds. In '01, you pretty much pick your route and go with it - generally, a triple 20 will solve your problems in '01. I love '501 - it's a beautiful game and I think in many ways it keeps the game friendly since opponents are fighting their own score, so there is nothing that your opponent can do to make your job any harder...just pressure. whereas cricket, at this level, is round by round decision making based on your opponents most recent visit. And it can extend much longer (10-12 rounds). There is plenty of superfluous pointing that can take place on cricket, and when you are competing, that can make your opponent irritating, and may be why the game hasn't garnered the mass appeal of '01. I would not want to play either of these guys, any day of the week. I am a fan of Leonard Gates on the steel tip circuit - Leonard, if you are reading this, why Soldier?. He shows up and plays, but what's up with the ballerina move? As serious of a player that Gates is - and he is remarkable - why not consider finally eliminating that? I think it is the only mechanical barrier remaining in his stroke, possibly the 100+ ceiling; Gates is right there, but too loose in my opinion. I can see Gates representing the the US worldwide, I hope he is the first American to get the top ranking. Chris is a top tier player, his form is superb and his composure even better. I'll look him up on YT and see what I can mimic / learn from. His dad is a personal hero, in fact the impetus I needed to consider taking the game seriously in my late 40's.Thanks for the upload!
Why do darts that bounce out of the board still count? Doesn't seem right.. the dart should be in the board to score. Is that just an American thing, or a soft tip thing?
It’s a double elimination tournament. Matches were to the best of 3 legs. Leonard won the winners’ bracket, meaning Chris would need to win both matches for the title. He won the first one 2-0, but Leonard won the second one 2-1. As Chris didn’t win both games, Leonard won the match, because the one win was all he needed to have Chris lose his second life in the tournament.
I like the way how both players attack the board always interesting to watch these two play!!
Great match, fabulous to watch, congrats to both !!👍🎯🇺🇸
Sickest match of the weekend!
Insane game play!
Wow Lim didn’t miss very many darts. Amazing, very nice! Gates always on form too.

Your right 100%, nothing worse than playing a points whore. I have seen players up 400 plus points and still won't close it out.
