amazing video. For me the Amiga is about the people and community, and your video captured it beautifully. I'll have to make it over there one day! oh and i smiled when i saw my port of Outrun - Cannonball being played at the event !
This is a *stunning* video Maddi. And thank you again for coming, it was so great to meet you in person :) It's hard to capture the antics we got up to between (and during) the scheduled events but you managed to do it here. Beautiful video, great editing, lovely music. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much Iarla! You and your family made me feel so welcome! it was great meeting you in person also! And this video reflects just how I felt when I was there! :o)
Awesome video Ms. Mad! Wish I could have gone there, but I was off on another adventure with great Amiga people. To no surprise, Amiga Ireland looks like an amazing group of people. Hope to meet you all in person one day. BTW, I am excited about my 3rd place finish in the competition, lol! Thanks for the mention! -- Bill
Amiga Ireland what a place .. seems a great day out the atmosphere is spot on ... David and Trevor are great together plenty or laughter when they are around .. totally get what you mean about being left when you home just means you had a great time... enjoyed this Maddi differently wroth the trip imp ;)
Lucky you. You had a great trip! Had me thinking back to the early 80's, sitting in a room with friends and our Amiga's. Those were great times. The other college students were, of course out at the bars and dance clubs like sensible decadent 20 somethings. We were the nerds, and I think we had more fun!
I wish I were able to go to Amiga Ireland!! The temptation to go was so great that I had to fight tooth and nail to hold it down! :P I'm glad though that I got to go to MAG Fest, and I had a blast there! Maybe next year if things work out well, I'll go to both MAG Fest *and* Amiga Ireland! It looks like crazy good fun with wonderful Amiga folks!
I should start a GoFundMe: "Send Robert to Ireland so he can mingle with Amiga folks!" :P Ooh! At 16:02 is that Modern Vintage Gamer's OutRun engine port for the Vampire??
Ireland uses cm i gues. those 10 inch pizza you showed are more the size of 10 centimeters, lol. you had a very great time as we can see. those after hours are the most enjoyable moments.
I can't help but notice Bi Planes on the floppy at the start, I loved that game, especially multiplayer. Really enjoying your channel, still got lots to catch up with!
Actually Bi Planes has always been one of myf avourite PD multiplayers, some great memories and i actually played it on my channel a couple of years ago with my cousin :o) ruclips.net/video/JrVtBMKnEHw/видео.html (Dogfight and Bi Planes)
That looked awesome. Kinda reminded me of my school days "computer club", but with the upper echelon of users instead of kids "disk swapping" (ahem) and filling the room with mods and demos. Grats on the loot too, some great stuff there. The poster is cool.
Totally awesome!!!! Was fun to watch, almost felt like being there - you covered a lot! It's a shame it's not a weekly event! Lol @ Pizza inches, and your chord with two bottles!!! Even sat having a drink you're finding ways to be musical! :o)
Looks like you all had such a wonderful time! Some great stories and lovely footage too. That's kinda funny that you got stuck with that puny little Amstrad controller, although I think it would have been more fair to use your own weapon of choice when competing, after all the joystick you're most familiar with is like an extension of your arms and hands. I'm surprised you got thru airport security with those project boxes. I could just imagine explaining yourself to the TSA: "Oh this? Just your everyday home made joystick tester and stereo separation control for my Amiga." "Oh nice, do you have an A500 with the 512K expansion card?"
Wow, Maddi, you clearly had a wonderful time and I'm sure it wasn't because of the "cranberry juice." ;) This was such a great overview video; I felt like I was there. And you came home with some great swag -- love that "Still Ready" poster -- brilliant! I look forward to your branch-off videos. Great work, and welcome home.
You did a very nice travel log video. I loved my A500+ and all the tech and games that came with it. By 1995 I had also added an Amiga 2000. I guess I will be looking to get some equipment and join the Amiga users here on the internet. Thanks for all the hard work, you earned a new sub today.
Wonderful you had such a great time. That cranberry juice wasn't spiked? ;o) I can't help but wonder, how Maddi would behave under the influence, hehe.. And happy accident with the pizza size, since you were on a diet. :) 30:20 - Man.. I LOVE that poster. Give! :o) 16:03 - Out Run.. What version is that? I'd really like to know. It looks NOTHING like the regular Amiga version! :o)
@Brian Hahah the Cranberry Juice wasnt spiked, that's what raised everyone's eyebrows, it was all Maddi LOL I think I lived up to my youtube name that night ;o)) I really like that poster also, I need to do a flickthrough video of the magazine, its pretty good! And Outrun is Modern Vintage Gamer's port for the Vampire Amiga, Definitely much better than the regular Amiga version!
@Maddi Ohhh, port for the Vampire.. Looks damn good! He's done a very good job. And it doesn't make me want a Vampire any less!! Arrhh..!! :o) Looking forward to your in-depth videos.
An amazing adventure! and you got to hang out with big Mike and David! And go for a pizza! :) Amazing atmosphere and superb to see two player Stunt Car Racer. You did very well to stay on the track with full turbo. Did you really take two zipstiks in your suitcase? - thats dedication.
Would love to enter a Swos competition to see how i really am against other decent player, I know they do pc online competitions but never really looked into it, plus I would only really want to use my Amiga cruiser joystick, no other excuses though ha
I bet stunt car racer plays silky smooth with an accelerator. multiplayer was THE thing to do with this game. so hard getting two amigas together though when I was a kid! Is that Steve Benway commenting on your stunt car racer game?
Very cool. Shame I didn't go but technically I only just became an Amiga user in the last week or so :). I'll be there at the next event & I'll bring my A500 + along :) .
Nice. The Amiga Forever is a nice product, but i prefer the configurability of plain WinUAE. The ROMs that come with AF is unbeatable though, and it is fun to explore the "taster" emulated new systems that i never got to try out.
Great vid, thanks for sharing. But that frame rate on Stunt Car Racer, pfff. Unplayable. Great to hear more about the commodore/amiga years from Pleasance.
@@necronom I think i played this game on PC (or something very similar) when i was a kid but i didn't know how it was called (i was very little) anyway after watching this video i got curious and thought of asking if anyone knew the name. Thanks for the reply
For those wore out suitcase wheels, depending on their size/diameter, you can get replacements for between $5-$7 for two wheels with hardware. ;-) bit.ly/2Ea5EJI
amazing video. For me the Amiga is about the people and community, and your video captured it beautifully. I'll have to make it over there one day! oh and i smiled when i saw my port of Outrun - Cannonball being played at the event !
i was wondering if that was your port or not since Robert Menes mentioned it!
It would be absolutely great to see you there Dimitris!
This was your port MVG? I had no idea. Great work, highly impressive.
Amiga Ireland Podcast thank you ! Yes it’s my work.
Modern Vintage Gamer Your port of OutRun looks lovely! Excellent work!

I feel the same Maddi. We miss you!
Been waiting on this one for weeks.Fantasic entertainment :)
Lovely footage of your flight. The cloud formations and scenery looked beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your trip and experience. it reminds me of ones I went to back in the day. lots of good times and memories.
Awesome video Ms. Mad! Wish I could have gone there, but I was off on another adventure with great Amiga people. To no surprise, Amiga Ireland looks like an amazing group of people. Looked like such a great event! Incredibly impressive! Great work capturing the mood, agenda, activities and cool characters overall. Awesome stuff!
Thanks for the stickers - they went down very well :)
Dude - it was absolutely my pleasure.

This video was much fun to watch, despite the fact that I'm merely a C64 freak. Thank you.
Nice to see you weren't the only lady at this event. I hope you had a great time on the green island. The Boingball cookies looked really delicious.
Excellently shot as always. The intro sequence and the AHX module by Jazzcat was fantastic!
I wish I were able to go to Amiga Ireland!! The temptation to go was so great that I had to fight tooth and nail to hold it down! :P
I'm glad though that I got to go to MAG Fest, and I had a blast there! Maybe next year if things work out well, I'll go to both MAG Fest *and* Amiga Ireland! It looks like crazy good fun with wonderful Amiga folks!
You need to save those Pennies! it would be cool seeing you there!
David and Trevor were lovely
I should start a GoFundMe: "Send Robert to Ireland so he can mingle with Amiga folks!" :P
Ooh! At 16:02 is that Modern Vintage Gamer's OutRun engine port for the Vampire??
I'm not sure, I was going to ask Craig about where he got that port of Outrun!
Modern vintage gamer just commented, yes this is his port for the vampire! I didnt even know he did one, I must get hold of that now :o)
MsMadLemon Your Vampire video is going to be loaded to the gills with so much cool stuff to show off! 😁
Wonderful coverage, thanks so much for shooting, editing, and posting this! I was also pleased to see what MIDI on Amiga looks like.
My pleasure and thanks! It was great seeing MIDI and Amiga in person, I was impressed what it could do!
Thank You so Much for Your Videos!! Its Great to see that the AMIGA is still Alive!! Commodore C64 and AMIGA are Awesome😁 More Videos Please!!
Looks amazing, hope I can finally make it out there next year! Great video as always

Sad I missed it. Was supposed to go but got too busy at home on the day unfortunately.looked like it was fun. Hopefully next year.
It's a two day event now Ollie, maybe that will help next time? :)
Love Amiga, I still enjoy the Games to date, AMIGA FOREVER , the evergreen computer
Awesome video maddie. I was not able to attend sadly but perhaps I will be able to travel next year
Amiga RULEEEZ for ever! ✌️ 😃

Really great video, thanks for putting this together. I was all booked to go and then had to work over the weekend, so missed out. So thanks!

Your so Gorgeous in every way ;)
Thanks! I do try to keep myself presentable! :o)
Looks like it was a good time had by all.
I've got my LCD gotek mod done. It's ready and waiting for the new case I'm getting.
WHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO what a great tune in flight!!
You really captured the nice Irish hospitality. Very lovely video and I would of course love to go there some day! :-D :-D :-D

Wow, Trevor D. Daddy of the Amiga One x. for AmigaOS4.X ✌️

Thanks Kenny, it's called 'Electric City' by 'Jazzcat'
So happy! You had a wonderful time at Amiga Ireland event. 💪🙂👍
This is simply awesome!
Amiga music is sooo great!
You did a very nice travel log video. I loved my A500+ and all the tech and games that came with it. By 1995 I had also added an Amiga 2000. I guess I will be looking to get some equipment and join the Amiga users here on the internet. Thanks for all the hard work, you earned a new sub today.
Looks like you all had fun. What version of outrun was being played towards the start of the video?
Enjoyed this very much. Congratulations on going!
Great video! Looks like alot of amiga fun! :)
Glad you had a great time here! Always order the biggest pizza! :-)
Wonderful you had such a great time. That cranberry juice wasn't spiked? ;o) I can't help but wonder, how Maddi would behave under the influence, hehe.. And happy accident with the pizza size, since you were on a diet. :)

Looking forward to your in-depth videos.
Great :) Did you riverdance there in late hours?
Great video Maddi as usual.

Great video! Have you also seen a prototype of the Vampire V4 for the Amiga 1200? Thx
They use the metric system, you need to order your pizza in metres ;-)
We invite you to Poland at AmiParty:

Last time TheGuruMeditation was there.
5:16 Would this MIDI Sequencer also work on an A500?
It's called Music-X and yes, I think there is an A500 version.
Awesomeness. Thanks for the info :)

Would love to enter a Swos competition to see how i really am against other decent player, I know they do pc online competitions but never really looked into it, plus I would only really want to use my Amiga cruiser joystick, no other excuses though ha
Nice one lem hope you had a good time there :)
thank you Dave! I had a lovely time there and cannot wait to go again next year :o)
Nice one lem glad you enjoyed yourself :D Id love to go to something like that
you must while these things are still going on, if not to Ireland at least to one of these Play Expos, I think you'd love that :o)
Yeah be awesome if me, you and hawk could get to one together and have a day out would be a good laugh hahaha :)
Yes!! That would be such a laugh hahah can tease Hawk about being a Cex lover ;o)))

what the name of the tune at 0:38? Great video Maddi:)
'Electric City' by Jazzcat
MsMadLemon thanks
MsMadLemon is it something old or something new? i swear ive heard it before?
its from 2006, so you probably have heard it before, it was used in an AGA Amiga Demo too.
cheers :)
Nice video :)
Nice.

dunno but that guys tune reminded me of rock n wrestle on c64 LUl
What's the name of the game at 2:52? anyone know?
I'm not sure if you are joking, as it's one of the most famous Amiga games, but it's Xenon II.
@@necronom I think i played this game on PC (or something very similar) when i was a kid but i didn't know how it was called (i was very little) anyway after watching this video i got curious and thought of asking if anyone knew the name. Thanks for the reply

hot glue wheel... amazing
Hope they didn't search all your electronics with your name and such looking at your suitcase trough x-ray machine
They search everyones electronics regardless of name really. The guy just smiled at me and said "I take it you're a photographer"
He should have said "I take it you're related to MacGyver"
Hahah! :o)
Question i would like is where is that asshole Mehdi Ali gone , would love to hear from him , he owes the community an apology atleast !
