There are going to be heavy spoilers in this video. If you want any surprise or fear, don't’ watch this walkthrough of P.T.
This game has been haunting so many for the last few days. With enough time, patience, and courage, most are able to get up to the final puzzle but then the true unknown kicks in. As of now, I’ve completed Silent Hills P.T. four times. Two of those times is the way I’m showing in this video. With that said, that means there have been two other times I beat it differently. Exactly! Some people are hating on the look of the teaser in the comments, but I recall Kojima said himself that they downgraded the graphics to make people think an indie company released the teaser when it came out. Imagine how amazing the actual game would have looked 🤯😰

This is the only game I've seen that I can say feels like you're playing through an authentic nightmare. I feel like the idea of walking through the same area over and over again is a recurring theme in nightmares.
I feel the same way about the early silent hill games. They feel like something straight out of a nightmare that I had when I was a child
For me that makes the game a bit boring. The reason the Silent Hill franchise never scared me that much is because most of the time you're walking in mazes and monsters are easy to avoid when they attack (overall in Silent Hill 2).
I think most of the horror is just in the story and theme/atmosphere (which is dark and blurry asf) but the places you go and the monsters you face are, for me, particularly ordinary.

Walking around a house at night, discovering a murder or something. Such a fantastic concept.
This teaser was brilliant and the fact the game was cancelled is one of the biggest crimes in gaming.
It may sound strange but really resident evil 7 is like justice after this game is canceled, it shares several concepts even if it is not the same.

Resident Evil 7 is a pretty damn disturbing game, but I feel Silent Hills would have traumatized me on a whole other level.

One of the greatest writer of all times combined to one of the greatest director of all times combined to a master of psychological horror combined to an amazing actor. It could have been the best horror game ever. But in the whole team, there was one who was incompetent and useless and dragged everyone down : Konami. Fuckonami.

You can still redownload it if you have it in your library, look out some videos on RUclips, its kind of simple, you just need a computer or laptop and your ps4.

i mean its a video game its not like it can physically hurt you..., also (this is to make my point, not to brag) i played it at night while home alone completely naked with an open window and headphones and i cant really remember but i think my garage door was also wide open (that happens alot im just lazy) it all just depends on how high your tolerance is for this stuff. EDIT: i also want to add that out of all the scary games i've played P.T. was the only one that made me feel slightly uncomfortable. man, was i excited to play silent hills...

They did the same thing in Restless Dreams: when walking through the forest in the opening part of the game a monster is heard stomping around but it's not actually there. Few games put me on pins and needles like the Silent Hill series, Alan Wake and Dead Space 2 come close.

The craziest part about just this P.T., is that its on a single floor. Imagine having what looks like, the entire house to comb through.
Visage did an awesome job interpreting this.
This game would've easily been the fastest selling horror game of all time and Konami were just like 'nah'.

It was quite good while it lasted but it was far too short. The baby sequence was masterful. I didn't think much of the doll boss fight though.

9 years ago and this is still more terrifying than any modern horor. This game proves that horror games can be successful, terrifying and that they should be pursued in the future of gaming. This was seriously an incredible demo and as a horror fan, I was too scared to finish it.

The graphics are stunningly beautiful. The developers did a great job here. The ominous atmosphere and eerie soundscape are as close to perfection as a game in this genre can get. Color me impressed.

I started playing this last night for the first time. I'm a huge silent hill fan. I've played so many horror games over the year including fatal frame, so I'm kind of desensitized to horror and practically nothing scares me anymore. this game had me legit terrified. my heart was pounding in my chest and at a few points I had to stop and catch my breath before I moved on. this is a must play for anybody that enjoys psychological horror. the fact that this game never got made is an absolute travesty.

It's a shame you sped past some of the smaller details, like early on when the chandelier shatters you can look up and she's looking down at you from the railing. Or when the foyer is red and there's a chained up refrigerator with blood coming out of it. Inside the fridge is a warped version of what the radio is saying, where the radio says the father "hanged himself with a garden hose" whereas the fridge's version says he "hanged himself with an umbilical cord."

Breaking the fourth wall by hiding a piece of a picture inside the pause menu, very Kojima. He's been on social media posting about PT today so I came here to remind myself what we are all missing out on. Honestly, making this a title for the release of PSVR2 would be an incredible way for them to move hardware....people would go fucking bananas and it would easily be the most horrifying virtual experience ever made.

Ut kinda punctures me in my brain, it's super unsettling, and the formation of the baby is also uncannily good, pt was and is an amazing example of what horror should be.
I see Resident Evil 7 took a great inspiration from P.T. when designed that corridor from Main House where Jack starts pursuing Ethan.

Part of the effectiveness of PT was that it all took place in a generic nondescript hallway. There was nothing special about it. It was just a hallway. The fact that RE7 also contains a generic nondescript hallway at some point means nothing. Houses have hallways. Hallways look similar. That's the genius of PT. And now everyone wants to devalue that by comparing every horror game containing something as commonplace as a hallway to it. Come on.
Uh, if you're going to talk about inspiration for a corridor, then I guess everything is inspired from anything ever.

Coming back to this after watching the Silent hill 2 remake reveal and Silent hill F announcement, I still feel like this game would've been amazing.
