I created a game for the 2022 Big Festive Game Jam called R&Dy and it ended up winning first place. This is the seventh video of a series where I show the entire process of creating it start to finish.
In this video, I add music, sound effects, a lore-filled game intro, and more!
If you like the video and want to see the rest as they come out, feel free to subscribe!

@@i_am_phibian Oh wow
I want to get into game dev, but don't know where to start. any suggestions?
I was thinking of starting with learning a language then move onto other skills on practice games, thoughts?
Well, there's no singular correct path obviously. Learning a language is a great place to start, but just consider that if you go that route you won't be making games for a while. For example, I learned Unity alongside C# and was making small projects from the beginning. Other skills just sort of develop alongside your projects. How it went for me is if I needed music for an area in my game, I just went ahead and gave it my best shot. If I needed sprites, I just made them. And eventually I started having fun with those aspects enough to do them on the side, separate from my game projects. So that's my advice; learn as you need to, do as you go.
