    • @JenniRoseHGH
      @JenniRoseHGH 10 месяцев назад +4

      @triciapogue6637 Pretty good guess! Rhodiola is also a renowned adaptogen, and it has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for centuries. In TCM, rhodiola is known as "Hong Jing Tian". It has some similar medicinal properties as Siberian Ginseng! :) Jenni Rose- HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine

    Boy, I live in WI where alot of ginseng is grown and the amount of spray commercial ginseng gets on it during it's three years before harvest would stop me from using any gensing product. I would have to find organic woods grown, commercial gensing probably as harmful as any good you would recieve! believe me I worked on shang farm for ten years, lots of herbicides,pestisides and fungisides!

      Hi Kristy. I love history too. :) Siberian Ginseng effects everyone a little differently. It's a good idea to start with a lower dose (1/4 teaspoon of tincture) and gradually increase it (up to a teaspoon of tincture) to assess your body's response and tolerance. That usually does the trick for most people. Jenni Rose - HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine

    I had no clue. Ginseng is not on my radar. If I can't grow it successfully I dont really study it. We have American ginseng around but it is illegal to harvest here. Unfortunately, people pay big money for it here and an illegal harvest wipes out entire patches of it.
    I could grow it legally, but there is a certain unsavory element that is always looking for it, that I do not want to invite near ny property.

      Really close guess! Rhodiola is also a prized adaptogen in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Interestingly, it shares some other medicinal qualities with Siberian Ginseng! Rhodiola and Siberian Ginseng are both fans of cold climates too. Jenni Rose - HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine

    Mullien (sp?) Because of the "adaptegen" clue. I don't think it's right though because nothing was said about the lungs.

    I really need some help to save my pet rat. I sent a message on the FB page. She cant breathe. Ive spent 500$ plus on vet visits, 3 diffent kinds of antibiotics and albuteral. Its been months and nothing is helping. Her breathing is gurgly in her lungs and nose. Like a constant snoring sound. Shes lost weight, and is now taking deep gasps every few breaths. Please, if you have any advice, id be forever appreciative. Shes my baby, and i dont want to give up on her.

    Hi I have a question , i've more recently started to learn about herbs, and I'm certainly interested in your class. One question I have is about the potency of some of the nutrients in the herbs. The reason I am asking is I have noticed often herbalist will compare a plant to something like an orange and tell you how much more vitamin C is in a certain plant compared to an orange. My question is, is that gram for gram
    Because I'm
    Thinking i could easy eat 2 oranges a day in a week
    The weight would never compare to the amount of red raspberry I have in tea
    Or how much parsley i could eat.
    That's just an example of something I have been wondering I hope it makes sense. I'm just trying to learn. Thank you so much. I am enjoying your videos.

      Usually when they’re talking up an herb’s nutritional content like that it’s gram for gram.

      Good guess Amy! Traditional Chinese medicine uses two types of ginseng: Panax Ginseng and Siberian Ginseng. Panax has a very hot yang energy, while Siberian is cooling and yin. They are both wonderful stimulants and adaptogens, but Panax is much more intense! Jenni Rose - HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine

      Hey Connie! That was an interesting guess. Was it because it's an adaptogen and can be used in dementia and Alzheimer's cases? Gingko and Siberian ginseng both grow in China as well, so lots of similarities!
