What did you guys think about this tutorial? Would you like me to create more of these in depth tutorials, or do you prefer the creative tutorials? Don't forget, in a few weeks from now I'll release a new travel series! Here's the image, that way you can follow along: pixabay.com/photos/girl-model-blonde-forest-green-2446828/
Speaking for myself, I'd like to have you make both types of videos, as both are equally educational and helpful to me. And it would be highly appreciated if you can do a detailed video on different masks (like, parametric or drawn).😍 Have a good week ahead.
@@abhishiktaghosh4541 Thank you for this suggestion! Please have a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/VhumXmkP9Gg/видео.html Did this help or would you rather have a more extensive explanation?
@@RicoResolves This helped to clear my concept so much! I followed the steps and it worked to some extent! (Well, in my case, half of the person became purple instead of only the shirt 😂) As I said, your tutorials do wonders and you are such a kind and helpful person. Thank you so much.
Hi Rico! Thanks for your efforts in making this video. It is very appreciated!!! I'm very new to Darktable. Learned a lot, just figure out the snapshot and color balance tool! Thank you so much!
Hi Rico I appreciate the information you put out for using darktable. I am wondering if you could make a video on how to get the creamy look on photos that seems to be popular with alot of lightroom users. I can't seem to find anyone who edits that style on darktable. Thank you.
thank you so much! i try to learn darktable a bit because the monthly pay-method of adobe isnt for me^^...very helpful. darktable isnt as confusing as i thought
Dear Lord, eyeballing your tiny mouse pointer and minuscule text is so hard considering that app layout/options change with new versions. Any chance you can zoom in when making changes so we can clearly see the options you select?
Yea, I have a colored mouse pointer now too. I'll activate it on my next video. Zooming in is a bit more harder to do with Davinci Resolve than it was with premiere
Bruce is idd ontzettend uitgebreid. Hij maakt in depth tutorials over modules, mijn stijl is meer creatief idd.
In this case: Yes! In many other cases: Yes! However, the color zones module is another powerful tool because you can change the hue (colors) with it. Something the color balance module can't! Both are my favorites!
I’ve been trying to search on the web for a while. Is there any way to export a lut/3Dlut from darktable (i.e. a .cube file) to be used in another program? Thank you
Thank you for asking Karol! Todd Prior gave me the build for this version. I'm looking to share it with all of you pretty soon :). The only downside is that your presets might not be backwards compatible
"I'm going to move this slider a little and then move that one to the left" does not explain what you are doing or why. Sorry to waste your time reading this post but you've wasted mine.

As always Great explaining.
A next level would be a zoom to what you are doing.
What do you mean Otto? Like in the previous video? Zooming in?
@@RicoResolves Yes, zooming in would be great.

To use a complementary style of color grading, split tone would be the tool to go?
Hello bubu, split toning only let's you colorize the shadows and highlights. It won't affect the midtones.
Thanks very helpful
Thank you Philip!
Weer wat geleerd Rico. Ik vind beide tutorials prima, waarom wissel je het niet af? Donderdag in depth en zondag creative :-) Het is maar een idee.
Goed idee Frank! Ben momenteel ook opzoek naar nieuwe ideeën. Binnenkort een nieuwe reis serie!

so theoretically you can basically use the color balance module to do all the editing ?

@@RicoResolves NO colour balance is only one of several color modules, each has its own particular strength and weakness.

hans habereder Lol he literally jazzed up the picture with the one module so in some cases you obviously can

Great question! Unfortunately there isn't. You can however, use LUTs in darktable 2.7. Styles and presets can still be exported accordingly.
👍❤🙏
Thanks Jules, glad you liked it!
where did you get darktable ver 2.7?

@@RicoResolves are there many differences except interface?
@@fasolasty It's got a few changes yes. Like a basic adjustment module and dedicated RGB Color curve module.
