the largest terrestrial carnivore is Deinosuchus with its biggest known specimen having a mass of around 13.5 tons while Tyrannosaurus' was only 11 tons

Deinosuchus wasn't technically fully terrestrial. It was semi aquatic. Meanwhile, the tyrannosaurus rex was a fully terrestrial hunter
