Mount Ida Psiloritis Hike 2456m | Highest mountain on the island of Crete

Mount Psiloritis is the highest mountain on the island of Crete (2456m).
Our starting point was the Mygero Refuge.
The best time to start the hike is early in the morning, later it gets really hot. We have started at 6 and it was chilly even in August. When you reach a certain height it also gets windy. It's better to be prepared with a long sleeve. It got really hot at 10:30 when we were going back. Consider it when planning your hike.
The view from the top is amazing, because you can see the sea on the north and south of the island. You can also see some sheep and goats near the trail.
The hike was 9,8 km with an elevation of 870 meters. It took as about 3,5 hours of moving time. A very nice place to see during your holiday!
