I live in the extreme northeast of Italy(not far away from the real Venice)and these guys went in tour with Good Riddance in the mid 90's and it was an amazing show!Goodtimes...
Here I am still intact And I should give myself Credit for that But I have cast a stone Deep into my throat I squat on land my Feet won't reach The smell of blood and Bile and bleach I need a square foot And a rope We can weave we can unravel We keep on sleeping Right though our travels We can weave we can unravel Take our confusion to a Much higher level Spit it up and hand it over To another child of squallor Pallid wheezing Lost all her color Her dark circles Getting darker He crossed her palm But nothing seems To wake her from her Shitty dreams Now she's become just one More helpless package Of doom The city is ecpecially Vindictive tonight That hitchhiker looks like He's heading home to Murder his wife Well it's a proven fact they Don't respond to every call For help in time So there she stays Poor little girl Lying on the floor of a Dirty bathroom No folks there's no device No box of gods to descend And take this tragedy Tie up all the loose ends
Anyone jonesing for this kind of music should buy Red Five's anthology over at CDBaby. $5 for 41 songs of mid 90s chick-punk goodness. ... Definitley miss this kind of music. Going to pick up Tilt's back catalogue on eBay.
@HELLOkitty1974 The only two bass player in TILT that I'm aware of were Pete Rypins and Gabe Meline. Cinder was married to guitar player Jeff Bischoff. Was fortunate to see them about 5 times from '93 to '96.
luv this frickin song! Ya know, I seen a thing the other day talkin about how Taylor Swift was such a bad ass bitch...and I was immediately like, fuck that shit...only thing she's ever struggled with was which ex boyfriend to talk shit about in her next song! When TS can write even ONE song as real, gritty, honest and relatable as this song...then we'll talk about how "bad ass" she is. Cinder Block is the real bad ass bitch and it's a real shame that song writers like her and jams like this aren't held to higher esteem, as they should be!

2022 and still love Tilt. The band that got me into Fat Wreck. First heard it on Props bmx.
P.U.N.X.
Love love love this song...
Here I am still intact
And I should give myself
Credit for that
But I have cast a stone
Deep into my throat
I squat on land my
Feet won't reach
The smell of blood and
Bile and bleach
I need a square foot
And a rope
We can weave we can unravel
We keep on sleeping
Right though our travels
We can weave we can unravel
Take our confusion to a
Much higher level
Spit it up and hand it over
To another child of squallor
Pallid wheezing
Lost all her color
Her dark circles
Getting darker
He crossed her palm
But nothing seems
To wake her from her
Shitty dreams
Now she's become just one
More helpless package
Of doom
The city is ecpecially
Vindictive tonight
That hitchhiker looks like
He's heading home to
Murder his wife
Well it's a proven fact they
Don't respond to every call
For help in time
So there she stays
Poor little girl
Lying on the floor of a
Dirty bathroom
No folks there's no device
No box of gods to descend
And take this tragedy
Tie up all the loose ends
Holy fuck! I'm so happy I just remembered this song!!!
The chorus...so good.
This song is so true! Horrifying but Brilliant, well written and intelligent.

Jimmy Cheetah was also on bass for a while. I got to see them about six times as well, including the Lookout anniversary show a few years back.
Cinder was also in a band called Retching Red. Also a very good band. I think cinder is married to Jeffery the bass player....
