This was the best tutorial on how to place a trade on tradingview! Your style and pace was perfect. Please do one for the mobile app if you haven’t done so already. You’re the best. Excellent content.
Thanks, glad it helped! Will do.
Hi Hugh, question for you on the TradingView order panel, can you explain how units are calculated in the trading panel? I know the position size formula as: ($Risk / Stop Loss Distance). In the following Short example I get ($50/(112.16-111.18)*111.18)= 5,672 units. However, TV calculates 7,690 units, any idea how they come up with that calc? That’s the figure that’s used to calculate P&L, not the trade value down below. I find the difference consistently and wonder what I am missing, thanks!
bro i wan to trade in crypto futures pl. share the decentralized exchange where i can use trading view for buy stop loss nd target orders thtrough mouse clicks. samething for forex markets and commodity markets.

Not to one up you, but I'm 73. I've been using MT4 for a few months and decided to move over to tradingview. If I can do it ???

Great video, thanks. Just one question... how do I get the history panel to show the profit/loss for each trade?
Thanks, it should be available under Transaction History. You might also have to click the 3 lines to the right of Balance to show the p/l.
Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Thanks!
You're welcome!
Great content, thank you aprreciate, just a question, for mine, it doesn't show the SL or TP lines, how can I fix it?
Contact TradingView Support.
Thank you for helping us,,,i understand now,,more power ❤❤❤godbless
Great!
Nice video mate
Thanks!
Is there a way when entering multiple trades of the same assets to have separate Entry Lines/TP/SL and not all get put into one? Example, you create (3) GU buys a minute apart. But Tradingview counts them all together combined. Thanks
Depends on the broker. Oanda does not smush, demo: ruclips.net/video/ZmjLBCefhXY/видео.html
That's exactly what l have been looking for. Please kindly do my Tradingview tutorials. Thanks and subscribed!
Thanks for watching!
Is there a one-click option for dragging the SL or TP line without the box coming up on the left and pressing the modify button? Also, how to get rid of the notifications on the left side that come up after placing an order? Thanks for the video.
Not possible on both. Thanks for watching.
What about OCO orders. If the trade hits the stop or the profit level, would the other order cancels itself here at TradingView, or any suggestion to put OCO orders?
A couple of brokers on TV will do brackets...AMP/CQG. Otherwise you can look for another platform that allows order management plugins if they don't have the function natively.
Thanks so much for this short analysis, do you train for trading.?

I need help my trading panel is not working like it used to when I click on the Stop loss. It used to give me 3 windows that show me dollar risk and percentage risk. And it doesn't show that anymore it just gives me the units box only. How do I get the dollar risk and the percentage risk to show back up when it's set on Market
Nice video! Do the calculations for SL & TP also work on a live account with a connected broker or only with paper trading? I heard that it only works with paper… I would appreciate an answer :)
It works with both. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. How do you place a short order? Thanks
Sell
Hi Hugh...Thanks for creating this vid...great intro on placing a trade on TradingView. I have a question...here's the hypothetical...If I open an order...with say...20 shares...with initially no attachments to it...can I then immediately go back...and modify only a PARTIAL quantity of those 20 shares...say 10 shares...with an OCO bracket...and then the other 10 shares with just a stop loss...any thoughts...ty...-Mike
Thanks for watching Mike. This is a question for TradingView, probably depends on the broker.
Very well explained. Could you make a video how to use Limit order.
Here you go: ruclips.net/video/e8Z47Tasryw/видео.html
I am back a month later and I know so much more, so not confusing anymore but very helpful., let me ask you something? are you still using tradingview foe your trades or still using metatrader? thanks .. anyone please reply too. Thanks.
I use both.
how to change orders from units to lot sizes in paper trading?
They are the same thing.
whats the difference between the upper 2 sell/buy buttons and the one bigger button at bottom?
Top selects the side, bottom executes the trade.
So u have to use a desktop?
No, you can enter trades on the mobile app too.
Trading Hero, question.. can you please let me know if you can enter trades in MT4 and modify on tradingview. ? Thanks a lot :)
I've never tried that. Open a free demo account and try it out.
Can you please tell me which broker can i use to trade nas100 volitile one...
The broker that can be connected to TradingView please
I don't know about that market.
ok so you can trade live but is this also consider a broker, or you have to link a broker to tradingview.. like on FTMO you use MT4 to actually place the trade ... something like that? thanks !
You can only connect to brokers that are available in TradingView.
Hey can you make a video showing to enter a short position on futures or ForEx possibly.
Hi, just enter a sell.
@@TradingHeroes thanks
Is there a 1-Click Trade option in Tradingview? Something like MT4
No
how do I calculate risk when foing a market order with futures?
Ticks of risk X $ per tick
Can use trading view on pre-market? im using IBK on it
Ask TradingView, I don't know.
Thank you, keep post your videos. They're great.
Thanks!
i am trading with my binance funds on trading view ,is it the reason why my take profit and stop loss buttons doesn't appear ?!?
Probably, double check with TV.
I dont understand the Units ? can you maybe just explain if I buy at 13.50 and I select 5 units is the equal to 13.50x5 ?
Thanks !
A unit is like a share of stock.
@@TradingHeroes thanks man !
That's so weird I don't have the TP and SL when hovering over my market entry. any idea how to get that on there?
Contact TradingView support
I dont have it either
When I hover over my position with my mouse, the TP and SL that I’m supposed to be able to drag never pops up. Can someone help?
Contact TradingView support.
Bro, can u help me? When i close a postion, tradingview instantly close it instead of show me the partial close, i don't know how to take partials
Ask TradingView, probably depends on the broker.
cool
Thanks for watching!
can you paper trade options in TradingView? Or even real trade options? If yes, can you do a video on that or send me a link to the source of information?
Here you go: letmegooglethat.com/?q=how+to+trade+options+on+tradingview
@@TradingHeroes I've seen many videos where but all of them say that it is not possible at this time
Help me i openned a new account with 1000 dollars but whe i try open a position with 100 dollars with no leverage they tell me i dont have enough money(found)
Ask them how it works, every broker is different.
What about leverage ?
That's set with your broker.
How did you make a paper trading account? Trader view wouldn’t let me…
It's the first option in the list of available brokers.
This is just a demo account ? Can you trade a live account with TradingView ?
Yes
uhm I still prefer MT5 I think
Cool, whatever works for you.
Bro is mewing 🤫🧏🏻♂️
