While I understand that some people might find Demi Lovato's statements repetitive, I think it's important to consider the immense pressure and physical toll that touring can take on an artist. Demi has been open about her struggles with mental health and addiction, and it's commendable that she's prioritizing her well-being. Touring isn't just about performing; it's about the constant travel, lack of routine, and the strain on one's body and mind. If she feels that stepping back from touring is necessary for her health, then that's a decision we should respect. Moreover, her upcoming documentary, 'Child Star,' sounds like a significant project. It’s not just about her, but also about shedding light on the challenges faced by many child stars. This could be a valuable contribution to understanding the pressures of growing up in the spotlight. Featuring voices like Drew Barrymore and Christina Ricci adds depth to the narrative, showing that these issues are widespread and not just unique to Demi. In the end, whether she tours again or not, Demi Lovato's health and happiness should come first. If she does decide to tour, it will be because she feels ready and able to handle it. Until then, let's support her in her other endeavors and appreciate the honesty she's bringing to these important conversations.
Yeah but it’s still her choice. She chose to party and do drugs instead of testing which put an even bigger toll on her body, during tour. And when Demi was touring her own albums from Unbroken to her most recent, she had more control, she can decide how many dates she does and what time she sleeps etc. Working, whatever you work can take a toll on you, but at least Demi can literally choose the hours, the dates, the places, and she can afford to do it comfortably whilst living her dream, and do whatever she wants after, most people don’t have that luxury.
I was surprised when Demi said, "I think it’s time for me to move on, but I’m in this weird position in my career because I still rely on music for my income."
I'm always with the idea that whatever is best for the artist, not everyone have to do the same thing. For some tour works for others don't or works for a while. I wish always the best to Demi and this documentary sounds really interesting. I'm also interested to listen of what kind of genre of music will be the new era.
Im just happy shes ok again... she calmed down... and thats ok... this is what happens when people becomes famous at a very young age, it can really took a toll on mental health and some didnt really recover BRITNEY is a great example..
Not sure whether she will do another tour or not, but in any case her happiness is more important than a tour or anything else, let her move on as she feels good. She's been through a lot already. Looking back, Demi has literally come a long way. And she's already done so much, achieved so much since her debut, and she's a registered legend, she doesn't need to prove herself any further at this point. She may have decided not to tour for his own mental and physical health, we respect that and we want her happiness, but it seems that this is a sad thing for us Lovatics to hear. However, apart from not wanting to tour, I think Demi still has a long way to go for music. She should make the most of this treasure voice she has. I love you so much Demi. ❤
She's only happy when she's has cameras following her. And she only gets media attention for her "journey overcoming her struggles". That's what she sells. Not music. Therefore, she'll never be happy, her job is "overcoming the struggles".
she's trying to have low profile it seems after a tumultuous 2021 (non binary, froyo drama, aliens..) she's been trying to solely focus on her work now.
She actually said during her last tour almost two years ago that there was a good chance that would be her last tour. I was hopeful then that it was just a phase (because homegirl goes through a lot of phases), but the fact that she's still saying she has no plans to go on tour again nearly two years later genuinely has me concerned she actually might not go on tour again. If this is just a phase, it's...let's say...a longer phase than normal for her.
@@PatrickVerstI heard that too, I hope she changes her mind because I'd love to see her in concert again and I'm sure she loves meeting and connecting with her fans
This makes me feel very lucky that I actually saw her twice on tour. First time was when she toured with my favorite guy singer, David Archuleta. Second time was her Neon Lights Tour. She rocked it! EEP! :)

I respect Demi and her struggles with music touring, as someone who have been a Lovatic for more than 10 years and never ever have been in a Demi concert ever, it's something that is too hard for me to accept
some sources have been saying Demi doesn't want to tour anymore. but Demi also talks about how they used to tour bc they had to vs. now Demi does it because she loves it. and i am pretty sure i heard them say that they wanna tour. the message i kind of got, maybe i am wrong, is that Demi doesn't want to do big tours anymore, but mini tours. a few concerts here and there, a break, and then some concerts here and there again.
Oh she will totally tour again. One thing that does kind of bug me when celebrities talk about a “lack of childhood” is that I do feel like at a certain point it was their choice, like Demi didn’t want to go to high school (understandable because she got bullied so bad in middle school) she wanted to sing and act, and I bet she’d hate her mom so much if her mom said no, based on interviews I’ve seen with Demi throughout the years, I think that she would’ve became rebellious and tried to break into the industry in her own way. A “normal childhood” isn’t always that great, and it seems like a lot of issues celebrities have they would still occur if they were “normal” not to the same magnitude but still Idk the price of fame issue has always been iffy with me, because they really can say “no” or “I wanna slow down” if they wanted. But they just keep on continuing things.
The thing that really stinks is that sometimes people don't realize what good they have things till it all goes away. Than they try their awful best to caution anybody else so that they won't fall into the same trap whether they become famous or not. That's the sad part of it all. :( Not to mention, but, Demi even admitted herself that she can't put all of the blame on the industry. She was the one who made that choice after all.
i disagree. i would agree with you if we talked about adults, "just say no", but not as a child/teenager. that's where you're learning the most, your body is going through the most changes, your frontal lobe is not as developed as an adult, in fact it's still very much developing and considered fully developed when you're 25. the younger you are, the more susceptible you are for grooming, for example (demi was with wilmer valderrama when she was just 17 and him 29). for a reason! teenage brains are, again, very much growing and developing. children and teenagers usually aren't as emotionally intelligent as adults. they shouldn't be put on the same pedestal. having millions of people watch you in your childhood, no matter what you do, might affect you. no matter if you have a bad childhood or a good one. a "normal childhood" isn't always great, true. but now take that exmaple and add to that millions of eyes watching and judging. some of the things demi lived in her life were happening before the fame and might've also still happened even without the fame. but with those eyes on them, it got worse. and a child/teenager often thinks they know best. until as an adult, they realize they didn't. unfortunately in demi's case she was also the one paying the bills. which meant she was being an a-hole to her family, they couldn't do much. and let's be real there, demi had a lot going on. some of the burden a child shouldn't have on them. like (TW!) from bullying in school, to a dysfunctional family, a dad with bipolar disorder which they didn't even know until much, much later (who later died from cancer), an eating disorder, loosing a childhood friend to suicide and later as an adult at least one more, mental health issues inkl. self harm, demi later got diagnosed with addiction, bipolar disorder, if i remember correctly adhd, her fame also came with being sexually abused. imagine going through all of that and having millions of eyes on you, watching, judging.
I understand that touring takes a toll on your mental health and body. But Demi lots of musicians your age are still touring. You don't need to be 15 to keep going. Taylor Swift is the best example. She's been playing in big stadiums and never stops. Touring is the best way to connect with your fans and your taking that away from them. I'm not saying it's something you should constantly be doing I definitely think you should take time for yourself go after other things your passionate about but giving up touring all together is ridiculous. That's just my opinion do whatever makes you happy
exactly! she's in her early 30s yet she acts like she's 70 or something; Madonna was 47 when she did the The Confessions Tour and that required lots of break dances and choreography, I'm sure Demi will change her mind in the near future.
I feel like Demi Lovato is in a position where she just wants to settle down and say that she's grown up now.
