Swede here. I read about this letter in the news yesterday and that the Norwegian PM said he has tried to explain to Trump the fact that there is a Nobel commity deciding who gets the Peace prize many times before. We in Scandinavia are amazed about the stupidity.
The thing is you can't explain anything to him, because he doesn't act on knowledge bestowed upon him, he acts on what he reckons he can convince MAGA to be true.
In effect he doesn't think MAGA know or understand the difference between Norway, Denmark, Greenland or the Nobel committee, so he treats all of them as one.

Seth's incorrect about Norway - they DO award the NPP, separately from the Swede's who award the others. Nobel himself set this division up, and there seems to be no definitive reason for why, but it's still the way it works.
