Hey man I went to factory reset my surface pro but there was a storm and the power went out now there is an error and it won’t redownload the windows I don’t know how to reconnect it to wifi to get it to finish the download
MIne says "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation." I press the Ok button and the same pop-up is coming, again and again, any suggestions?
I reset the surface but windows didn't reinstall. It just loops now. It turns on and goes to a blue screen with 2 windows 10 install options that says choose operating system and then goes back to the surfacee black page again looping. What am I doing wrong? Everything seems fine but windows is not reloading after I reset the tablet. Please help. 🙏
i'm thinking of buying one on ebay.. i'm not entirely sure if it is safe.. let's say the seller has not done anything to reset the surface and when you get it, you find that you would need login information from the buyer. Is there a way to reset the device without knowing any login information? Is it possible the reason the seller didn't reset the surface is because it was stolen? Anything suggestions of what I can do to protect myself would be appreciated...

It's been 6 months since your comment but someone else might need it so here's the solution: Before you Shift+restart your computer, search for "Bit Locker Manager" and on the right of the drive icon click "Turn off Bit Locker". Then, hold shift and restart.

Hi to everyone, I'm going to report here a strange situation that happened to me and hope that someone would be able to explain what might have happened. I have a Surface Pro4 since about 5 years and since the last 2 ,5 years it started to have problems with its battery autonomy. It discharged very rapidly although I had it previously charged at 100%. Sometimes it lasted only 15 minutes without having to plug it for charging it again. Since I use it now and then, I started to use it always plugged to the socket wall. Now comes the strange part ... Last week I use it twice and in one occasion I connected the charging cable to the tablet, as always, turned it on but I forgot to plug it to the socket wall and when I realised it, it had passed 45 minutes and it didn't had shutdxown. I immediatly checked the charging duration of battery and it showed me there was still 60% of battery charge left before it would shutdown. Can anyone please explain what might have been initially the problem that caused it to discharged so quickly and why did it regained now again the capacity of using it without having to constantly plug it to the socket wall? Thank you, I would appreciate any answer
