Polis sunk Colorado with his failed COVID policies. Businesses were closed, people stopped having income, people could not pay their mortgage, nurses were fired for not taking the jab, blamed the unvaccinated for not taking an "ineffective medical treatment", homelessness increased, suicide rate increased, obesity increased, depression increased, alcoholism increased, but he will work to fix this, right?.
Not to mention that has he supported closing businesses and lockdowns which affected the mental health of our kids but as well as people losing their jobs and source of income, he lived well in the governors mansion with our tax dollars without having to worry about losing his home or have to worry about how he was gonna eat or meet his bills. He's just another California dem who's delusional.
It's true. Repeat offenders are the ones causing the most issues. A man who broke into our truck and went to jail ended up being a man who was out on probation which a very long history of crime including burglary, drug possession and grand theft.
We need to unlock our energy in Colorado. I'm okay with Polis on somethings, but we need to stop becoming California. I don't think that think Polis cares about the problems that are going on. I can't even go downtown anymore. It's a mess. We don't want to live in California. Where is my statue at the Capitol Polis? You can't remove our history, and convince me that you care about our state. The energy policy in Colorado should be the number one issue for Colorado. We need to be able to have affordable energy. We also need a secure border, and better criminal justice policies. Denver is not the place it used to be.

There's not enough housing, cost of living is high, the traffic is terrible, there's trash all over the city now. People are rude, and crime is going up. I am totally against sanctuary state and why should Colorado partly pay for abortions?? Drugs and letting people out immediately is hurting Colorado and this needs to change. Heidi to me seems like a copy paste GOP attack ad. She has no platform outside of blaming all of Colorado’s problems in dems and Biden. Listen to her answers on what is driving up housing costs, I work in infrastructure & construction & her solution is doing nothing at all. Regulations are trying to slow the process of Colorado being more of a corporate cash cow for land development and repurchasing of entire HOA communities and apartments.

In the first 8 minutes they "fact checked" Ganahl saying her inflation numbers came from a partisan source, (they didn't, they just use the same method for calculating inflation that has been historically used, instead of the current method used to make inflation sound not as bad) and then allowed Polis to go over time twice, and have him an extra question to let him fix his mess up in not explaining how he'd fund the government with a pollution tax if pollution reduced to zero. The bias is painfully obvious

Polis; on the water issue: Screw the other states that rely on our water production. California literally borders the largest body of water. They have a massive surplus but they’re refusing to build desalination plants. They’re creating their own problem and crying about it. Make them compensate us for our burden of reducing water use for allowing them to abuse our water resources to grow crops in the desert.
Ganahl said some things I disagree with, but Polis' tax on pollution is what gives her my vote. I'm not pro pollution, just look into the Dutch farmers protest and you'll see why this pollution tax will be so bad for people that like to eat food.

So in addition to that it doesn't help the millions of people have moved to our city in the past decade. It's making everything worse. I’m not sure I am seeing what some of these other viewers saw, but Heidi did awful. Shifting blame to justify a stance makes you sound childish and side steps the question. Polis was much more polished, concise, and simply provided more detailed plans for progress in Colorado. For the record, I am an unaffiliated voter and have voted primarily Republican in the past, but I like to watch these debates objectively.
You say that you like to watch the debates objectively. So, I have a thought that you may not have considered. Polis has had more time to "polish" himself with the years of being a politician. Especially throughout all of the COVID, press conferences. I think they both had their fair share of side stepping, redirecting, and outright refusals to answer.

Please reference the time in the video if he did and I'd be happy to rewatch. He was much more thorough in his response and focused on addressing the issue at hand, not bashing the opponent. Personally, I think opponent bashing gets so old to listen to. We Coloradans want solutions (though we may all agree or disagree with the "right" solution).

(By facts, I mean that if either candidate claims the other said or did something, that's verifiable. If a candidate holds up a badge, the reality of that badge is verifiable. If someone quotes a statistic, I can usually find the source of the statistics, and I look for bias in the source. For example, I trust abortion statistics from NIH, but not from pro life think-tanks. I trust firearm data from the FBI crime report, and not the Brady organization.)

Within a few days of being elected in 2018, Polis worked with the Dem legislators to pass the exact bill to limit fracking that voters rejected just two months before. Throw him out.
I don't dislike Polis as a person. I do think we did better than other states in many ways during covid times and he and Hancock did not defund police like Portland and San Francisco for example. But crime has climbed still with the catch and release without bail idea and I can't see being soft on crime as a viable solution after seeing what the results have been in the last few years. There are certain crimes that should never warrant someone being let out unless the jury decides that is the answer after a trial. If you look, you see the tragedy that concludes often when people are let out when they've already shown a certain level of danger to society. It's great that we have police to arrest those committing vile crimes but it's of no help when they are soon right back onto the streets. His approach on public education is not Marxist, as some Governors in other states are. And transparency on what is being taught in schools is important.I think both candidates agree on that. We aren't seeing naked drag queens performing at schools for minors here. Maybe these two could work together to make sure this state becomes a safer place, by lowering crime rates with changes that need to be made to get there.

What people do not understand when comes to voting is that voting is so important on a local level. The president of the US is useless to the American People. Your governor of the state you live in is your president and you pay your taxes in one place your domicile and the mayor and governor of your state has ,more of a direct affect on your life then the president. Your mayor and Governor practically run your daily life. Actually mayor of your city or town then Governor. The Governor is the bigger picture. You cant live in all 50 states at the same time. In the first 8 minutes they "fact checked" Ganahl saying her inflation numbers came from a partisan source, (they didn't, they just use the same method for calculating inflation that has been historically used, instead of the current method used to make inflation sound not as bad) and then allowed Polis to go over time twice, and have him an extra question to let him fix his mess up in not explaining how he'd fund the government with a pollution tax if pollution reduced to zero.

I’m not sure I am seeing what some of these other viewers saw, but Heidi did awful. Shifting blame to justify a stance makes you sound childish and side steps the question. Polis was much more polished, concise, and simply provided more detailed plans for progress in Colorado. For the record, I am an unaffiliated voter and have voted primarily Republican in the past, but I like to watch these debates objectively.
You say that you like to watch the debates objectively. So, I have a thought that you may not have considered. Polis has had more time to "polish" himself with the years of being a politician. Especially throughout all of the COVID, press conferences. I think they both had their fair share of side stepping, redirecting, and outright refusals to answer.

I don't dislike Polis as a person. I do think we did better than other states in many ways during covid times and he and Hancock did not defund police like Portland and San Francisco for example. But crime has climbed still with the catch and release without bail idea and I can't see being soft on crime as a viable solution after seeing what the results have been in the last few years. There are certain crimes that should never warrant someone being let out unless the jury decides that is the answer after a trial. If you look, you see the tragedy that concludes often when people are let out when they've already shown a certain level of danger to society. It's great that we have police to arrest those committing vile crimes but it's of no help when they are soon right back onto the streets. His approach on public education is not Marxist, as some Governors in other states are. And transparency on what is being taught in schools is important.I think both candidates agree on that. We aren't seeing naked drag queens performing at schools for minors here. Maybe these two could work together to make sure this state becomes a safer place, by lowering crime rates with changes that need to be made to get there.

What people do not understand when comes to voting is that voting is so important on a local level. The president of the US is useless to the American People. Your governor of the state you live in is your president and you pay your taxes in one place your domicile and the mayor and governor of your state has ,more of a direct affect on your life then the president. Your mayor and Governor practically run your daily life. Actually mayor of your city or town then Governor. The Governor is the bigger picture. You cant live in all 50 states at the same time. Why do you care what happens in other states. I don't. I care about what goes on in my home state of NY and my City NYC. For example, You are an Arkanasan, Texan, and etc first before you are an American. Like I am a New Yorker first before I am an American. Think about it. The states operate as 50 separate countries. Politics is always local not national. By the elites making you think it is more important nationally they are taking your rights away because the focus goes away from your home state. The president is only important to the governors of the states because the governors run their states and The president of the US is the governor's boss. The governors are really scared who gets in office. Governors have to listen to the president. We the citizens of the country do not listen to the president per se we listen to our Governor which is our president. My political science professor in University taught this in class 1994 Upstate NY and he is so right. So vote hard and vote for what you feel will help your life.
