Hi Harriet, nice video. I might buy one of those tools to see if it will remove a few dents from my car without disturbing the original paint. It might be ideal where it is double skinned. I enjoy your videos very much
@@BalooTheBeetle It would be handy although care is needed in panels with more surface area. I am a metalworker and do body repairs as a sole trader and I do a lot of repairs where paint can be removed. Then I can use hot tags in certain places that allow me to shrink the steel where it has stretched. It can be easy to go too far and cause distortion or a bulge the other way. Reconstruction is where I specialise though in making panels and sections. I do mechanical work as well and I am trying to lean more towards that these days because mechanical jobs can be quicker
Hi Harriet. This is virtually the same tool that bodyshops use and painless dent removal shops. The metal used for manufacturing the hub caps is thicker than the body panels. So unless you have a shallow dent off the edge of the hubcap you will struggle. However should you find a dent on your bodywork l'm sure you'll get a much better result . Now l've already promised Steve Denton a flight in a Spitfire if l win the lottery (more than a tenner obviously!) Guess l'll have to buy you a set of new hubcaps if l win! Take care and stay safe.

Ooh I wouldn't say no to that! Yes I will have a go on my paintwork if I get any dents, although I won't wish it!
