If Ubisoft wanted to make this more realistic as far as LMG’s are concerned, they should’ve given you a bipod as well as a scope with some magnification.
If they wanted it realistic, not every bullet would be a traccer, there wouldn't be hit markers and audible "thups" when you hit someone at 500+ yards. 500 yards would be more like shooting 500 yards than shooting 1,000 yards. Your AI team wouldn't botch your tactics like a strafing flash mob... etc. I could go on. It's not Project Reality or Arma. Get watcha get.
Well, in my opinion, LMGs in this game are pretty much useless. You can't mow down groups of enemies, since there are no bipods and recoil is pretty hard to control, and it takes multiple hits to kill an enemy. Vehicle destruction capabilities? Nope, HTI will do a much better job, as well as an underslung grenade launcher for ARs. Worse optics, worse recoil control, worse damage (or at least not noticably better damage)... The only thing LMGs have is a huge mag. But this advantage is very situational, since most of the times you'll be firing from a cover, and it wouln't really matter whether you need to reload or not. The only scenario where mag size comes into play is when you camp those unidad forces at 4 level near the only doorway. Or in close quater combat, where enemies can actually flank you while you reload. But overall, I'd say that LMGs are pretty useless. I guess they need to add bipods, or maybe include some kind of supression effect, so that enemies won't shoot you back in 2 seconds while being under heavy fire.
CaptainOguretz Umm...you're usin em completely wrong then...! HTI is a horrible crutch for many that have no skill, IMO! 2-4rnds (average) for LMGs, same as ARs and SMGs. They're not meant to be used as CQB. They're meant to be used as standoff cover fire weapons or stronghold weapons as they abide the highest suppression capability over all other weapons. They're big and they're heavy; ...that means take your movements slow. They're not rushin weapons! If you have your weapon damage stat upgraded, most of the LMGs melt pretty much all of the vehicles. Hell, go shoot a parked Humvee-type vehicle with an LMG and an AR. The LMG will take about 35-40rnds. Much less than a AR. Sure, you can use an HTI with one shot, but realistically only a dedicated unit who isn't moving around is gonna take a heavy ass bolt-action with only 5rnds. And oh yeah, pit an LMG vs the HTI ina CQB and tell me which one is better... TBH, and I'm not really tryin to be mean, but LMGs are far from useless...it really just sounds like you've absolutely no clue how to use them! Realistically, in all fairness, SMGs are the ones that are actually pretty useless in most combat. The fact that they only fire a pistol cartridge, or an intermittent caliber like the MP7 and P90, they're grossly underpowered and only fill one very small niche. Technically, the same goes for the 50cal rifles too!
CaptainOguretz But I do agree that bipods and real optics DESPERATELY NEED to be added for LMGs!!! Oh, lastly, damage is approximately the same as, to a shot less better, than the ARs overall. Recoil is rather unrealistic as in actuality they have much less recoil due to their weight, however, their recoil in game is easily tamed. The MG21, Stoner 63, M249 and for the most the Mk48 can be udder laser beams once you've learned their curve. Couple others like the Unidad RPK and 6P are burst only as they're a bit crazy. Ones like the Type 95, though, holly god that thing's uncontrollable mostly! And make sure to focus on your accuracy stat with LMGs! The hell with handling. If you're close enough for your side-to-side movements to matter, switch to 3rd person aiming because the optic selection SUCKS.
The thing is, that LMGs don't destroy unidad vehicles fast enough. I'm playing in Tier 1 mode, so whenever enemy patrol in a vehicle notices me, I only have about two seconds to react at max. LMGs can't help me in this situation. But underslung grenade on an AR can. I know that LMGs are not supposed to be used in CQB, but in this game mechanics, this is their only purpose for me. As for other purposes... Well, once I used a flare to lure 6-7 enemies in a open field. I myself got on a rooftop, layed down, and switched to M249 upgraded to the max. I thought that I could kill all of them in one go, but I was wrong - I only killed 3 or 4 of them, since many survived being shot once or twice. Moreover, after just a few seconds (2 or 3) I was killed. They were able to shoot back and kill me with their first burst while I was firing at them from a better vantage point with my M249. That's when I said NO to LMGs. I understand that they're *supposed* to be "standoff cover fire weapons or stronghold weapons", but in this game they are not. In Tier 1 mode, I can only shoot 3-4 bullets before having to duck in cover, since their supression effect is almost non-existent and enemies shoot back and kill me in a matter of seconds. And in this situation, I'd rather have a good controllable AR with better optics and underslung grenade launcher.
CaptainOguretz Well there's your problem though...you're in Tier One mode. That mode's not meant to go loud! It's all about maximum stealth and beyond Godly OP enemy. Hince why you're not supposed to go stealth...! Them bastards can pull shots/accuracy that even most sniper rifles would be hard-pressed to accomplish! Get outta Tier Mode if you wanna go all Rambo. More over that, NPC health vs "level 30'ing" a weapon is a near one-sided matter in favor of the NPCs...! Lmao Basically, and literally, Tier mode "ON" is for challenging your ninja skills, mostly once you're forced into 'extreme' difficulty. 'Advanced' is a little bit more balanced for both max stealth and goin loud. Tier Mode "OFF" is for anyone with any skill level for any play style. Again, it's really boiled down to you and how you're playin Wildlands...
Bubbafied 375CT you say the SMG’s are useless but you are wrong no offense. I always run an SMG for 3 reasons. 1) they are dead silent. 2) they are literally the same as some pistols (quietness, damage, handling, reload) but they have full auto. 3) they will outgun almost anything at close range, even AR’s. The problem with SMG’s is than no one knows how to use them. I’ll give you a few tips. -don’t bother using them at range -use the actual good ones (vector, scorpion). Trust me, I’ve used every SMG extensively. -use the shift short angled grip. It turns the SMG’s into lasers, especially the vector and PSG. Thank you for your time reading this I just feel that more people should become more aware how to properly use SMG’s.
The LMG are more a suppression weapon: when you play solo, the bots can't cover you while moving, but if you have 150 dakkas in you dakka machine, you can do it yourself. An other pov is that the LMG have high penetretion: you can kill all the enemies inside a closed building (hacking facilities) from the outside. For the anecdote, i killed the last boss of Fallen Ghost (hidden in a prefab) from more than 500m (out of range of the mortars). But the recoil is high, w/ a pc you can control it easy.
Different weapons are meant for different jobs. Assault rifles are meant to assault. They are lightweight so that you can fire and move. LMGs are meant to support an assault or in a defensive capacity. Because they are heavier and the recoil will be felt greater. That's why they are setup to maximize field of fire, when targets move and the unit needs to advance the rest of the unit lays cover for the LMG to redeploy. It's a leap frog technique, and it works moving forward or backward.
It is kind of annoying you can't make one of your AI squad members as a designated Machine Gunner. But I assume it might be because the AI can be more effective with certain weapons and it could make them OP.
I've been wishing we could kit out the AI squadmates since I started playing this game like a month ago. So dumb that you can control what they wear and what gender they are (which is awesome in and of itsel) but you can't choose their weapons. I really wish we had more AI commands as well. Instead of just "stay put"/"go here"/"come to me"/"shoot.... whatever" I wish you could make them take up positions of your choosing and then set them to like cautious defensive or aggressive offensive. Or command for suppressing fire or for them to cover while you move. WTF NOOBISOFT. It seems like it wouldn't take all that much more effort to revamp the squadmates.
A bit late but I'm still playing this game four years after so here's my two cents: Ubi tried quite decently to make LMGs and ARs work differently, so that the choice for one or the other actually mattered and was not determined just by mere stats. LMGs, except for the Stoner, have no way of being suppressed, have little to no way of improving significantly accuracy and range, and have no magnified optics, and it takes quite the time to reload them; on the other hand, they have good modding to improve recoil control and handling, have a very large ammo capacity, can easily penetrate walls and destroy vehicles by sheer number of bullets before you have the need to reload. They are meant to be used aggressively and overtly, to take down many enemies with many bullets, or to provide a good base of fire to defend a position against a wave of enemies I know is coming (think of the clinic, or Matchwood's server).....basically the way you would use an LMG. ARs, on the other hand, have access to basically all the modding options, but rarely excel at everything, it's always a tradeoff with them, be it accuracy/range over recoil/handling, damage over suppression...they are stuck in the middle of it all. Meaning, they are perfect at being all-rounders; you can one-shot a slightly farther enemy with a suppressor and a magnifier, then rock them up close with full auto and a quick-swapping 50rd extended mag if things go loud; will they be as excellent as a sniper rifle or an LMG at either? no, but they can work in a pinch, and if you want to keep your secondary slot for something more specialistic (semiauto shotgun for extreme room-clearing, antimaterial 50cal for choppers and tanks, stealth-oriented SMG for full sneaky-beaky etc..) then an AR can be the "jack of all trades, master of none" that you need to cover a specialized weapon's weakness. Because of this, I find that ARs are perfect for solo players, because in a co-op team, you can afford to have one person specializing in suppressive fire or single-shot long range sniping, but when you're playing with AI, you need to be able to be a jack of all trades
I'll admit that I mostly skimmed your comment, but I'm replying because I appreciate you for making it. You're preaching to the choir, man. Over five years later I'm still posting videos on it and playing it every day, and I see room for improvement, yes. I've also posted 500 or so videos on so many aspects of it and I hope they carry the good stuff into this supposed 2023 Ghost Recon game that is rumored to be coming out. If you really want to talk Ghost Recon, as you sound a passionate fan, you can friend me on Discord under my Discord ID, Darkdally#6036 and maybe we can play together. Thanks.
@@Darkdally soon as I have more time off from the job I currently have, I'd be glad to! Thank you for still keeping up the interest in this truly amazing albeit old game! Keep rocking!
And not only did you die, but destroyed the supply truck.... lol. I mainly use an LMG while doing the Real Radio ops to take down helicopters or surpress the on rushing SBs. Great video as usual Dally!
I just recently started this game last week, and my favorite AR/LMG combo is the ACR w/ m203 (for wiping out multis in cars) & the Llamativo (for shooting down helis until I get the HTI)
anyone disillusioned by the recoil in this, if you run the shift short angled grip and a compensator V2 the recoil with a long barrel is easily managed in bursts. if you run that grip, comp V2, and the standard barrel the gun is basically a laser. i love the stoner as just an all purpose weapon. big enough mag for when shit hits the fan, solid bullet drop for range, and a suppressor for taking out targets in stealth. honestly if you could equip more LMGs with supressors and high magnification optics i would probably only use them.
Personally, I feel your use of cover with the AR was superior to your use of cover when using the LMG, but like you said we can chalk that death up to whatever, and as far as LMG selection, I feel the 249 is superior to all other LMG's, again just preference. Otherwise good video and I cant wait to see the new tests.
The Stoner is perfect for fire support and/or suppressing mainly when they're veichles involved. But not for directly going on the offensive leading an attack.
By far the best lmg in my experience is the Mk48. Max its handling(whichever stat reduces horizontal sway) and it becomes a fking laser beam. Lmgs also completely demolish vehicles and deal obscene dmg. my 48 is and always has been my go to in this game.
Darkdally The AUG is accurate out to range, but I think it's very much overrated though. I did notice they nerfed the crap outta the Mk17 and AK47!!! I almost cant stand the AK47 now.
Larned Justin in my opinion the AUG is overhyped, I honestly think there are 2 better options. The SCAR is similar, but more versatile especially with all the different mods for it. The Vektor R4 just simply kills people faster than the AUG. Consider using the SCAR and R4.
I think when we are talking about precision it's not only about bullet drop. I understand you also want to determine a weapon's "target elimination value", and that's a good idea. That means, in my humble oppinion, you have to test it in shooting bursts at multiple targets at different distances (let's say CQC and LR) and compare the shot groups. this way you also take the recoil and handling into consideration. That's what I do... Chears Darkdally...
PC player here, and I absolutely love LMGs. I've used them all quite a bit even at Tier 1 so here are my thoughts: The best two LMGs are the Mk249 and Mk48, with the Stoner coming in close for third. For each LMG you HAVE to use the Shift Short Angled Foregrip to remove/reduce the horizontal recoil so you're only contending with the vertical recoil. The Mk249 is absolutely ridiculous as it has the highest fire rate with relatively low recoil, but I prefer using the Mk48 because of both looks and it hits like a train, but it does have more recoil to fight than the Mk249 and the Stoner. So I'd say the best LMG to use on console might be the Mk249 due to it's higher controllability. I've used LMGs at both long range (over 300 meters) and close range, and once you get used to them you can shred literally everything regardless of range with extended bursts.
I prefer an lmg any day. ARs are...fine, but an lmg can rain hell on the enemy, and do more damage than ARs. They are less controllable, but with the proper attachments the differences are not that significant. I main the M249 with ironsights, v3 foregrip (I haven't found v4 yet), v2 compensator, standard barrel, no laser, and it puts enemies down fast at pretty far distances. They don't require grenade launchers to be effective on vehicles. I don't like the stoner personally, because it pulls in random directions.
I know this video is a year old and I haven't seen the others yet but... LMG's require a VERY different approach to the game. They revolve heavily around exploiting the AI's suppression mechanics and using your own squad/co-op friends as attack dogs. The goal of the LMG is basically crowd control and killing anyone dumb enough to run from cover. That's something I really love about Wildlands: The map design and ai really contributes to making snipers and machine guns viable for their intended purpose as opposed to Call of Duty and the way it turns snipers into glorified bolt action ww2 guns.
I use the U100 and it shreds. Highest damage, lowest rate of fire (helps control recoil). I use it to create suppression fire for myself while I push to my next cover. The slower rate of fire isn't even really true, it still fires really quickly and takes out heli's from 200m or less in about 6 or 7 rounds.
I think mk249 LMG is really great machine gun that seems like the best I have used thusfar. From my experience it has super good efficiency for burst firing accurately at medium range and close range. I equip it with eotech scope, AFG underbarrel, and compensator v2 muzzle break. Another thing is that when running mk249 + Tavor assault rifle, you can carry so much ammo that you will not find yourself in trouble with runnign out of ammo, because the mk249 uses like different stock of ammo vs the 5.56mm assault rifle
I don't know if this will help but I find the angle grips helps better for controlling the LMG recoil. Momments were I've found them useful: My teammates are falling back and I'll be set up in a position further back providing surpressing fire on the large group of enemies pushing up.
I loved the sound of the Stoner when I first got it and it was really effective against helicopters. I still like to run it during the VIP missions but you get more rounds with the m248.
LMGs are some of my favorite guns, however they don’t have the same play style as ARs. LMGs work best for taking down bigger targets or larger groups of enemies because of their damage, range and ammo capacity. Using an LMG/AR lineup is extremely effective for taking down bases
#1 rule for LMG use in this game, don't even try to do more than 2 bullet bursts while standing up. Even with 2-bursts, the second bullet might end up in a different country. It's critical you are at least crouched, preferably prone. The one exception seems to be the 249, that one seems somehow exempt from the ridiculous horizontal jerking the other LMG's have.
I carry an AR, and an LMG now. If I’m shooting 200m to 400m I’m comfortable with the AR, anything closer I’m on the LMG and chances are I’m just shooting through walls. It works creat in coop with my friend that runs an AR and a sniper. Those side missions to clear buildings, we don’t go in anymore, we just spot and I circle strafe it until everyone is dead.
Imo it's like making comparisons to real-life calibers in Fallout 4. I'm still looking for an Advanced Tubulated Awesomafied Deadly Receiver for my PSA AR-15.
if you were able to do the both guns in a single shot mode you likely fix the scope drift caused in both in 3 round burst and full auto not to exist.. If you could stick a 4-8x optic on the same calibre weapon no matter the platform you would improve your aim point
Thanks for the great vids! Always getting me to try new weapons. And i would think the LMGs seem better for close quarters with the higher recoil and less zoom. Maybe try testing them by doing a Network Station or a Rebel Radio
Dude the Reaper is the truth lol use that one without ads just the third person recticle it's hella precise and always a 2hit kill. I always roll lmg on my squad because everyone wants to roll with single shot suppressed snipers and dmrs, you need fire superiority when shit goes wrong!
The biggest issue with this comparison is that LMGs are better at medium to close ranges as their viewfinder is made for that , ARs are more versatile with slightly less stopping power.
I mean I like to use the lmgs but I rarely do only if I have tons of enemies attacking me Thought the stoner a1 would have better handling for having a silencer but nothing.
Both type of weapons are not comparable since they have different types of missions, and they sadly didn't have the lmg a good scope. Irl lmgs have good magnifications because it's a good long range laying down weapon.
Good video but the issue with the method of tests is yhe LMG is used in different situations. They are more accurate at range but lmg are not quick scope weapons. They are designed for high damage and putting lead down range as suppressive fire and staying a safe distance. CqB i wouldn't use an lmg. Also i find the regular iron sites of a few of the lmgs just work better than the scopes you get.
I disagree about the Stoner's accuracy - while it does have less bullet drop and therefore is more accurate on the first shot, it also has more recoil so the second shot is more likely to miss.
put a shift short on lmg's in this game. you'll thank me later. also, 249>stoner. treat it like an m4 with more bullets. an lmg is better against armored enemies, enemies in cover, and when your friend blows up the unidad helo and and now you have to fight your way through unidad AND the cartel. when you absolutely, positively, need EVERYTHING dead, go maximum dakka.
The 249 is serviceable while on the move. Meaning the penalty for firing while standing up is not completely ridiculous. For other LMG's, sadly they only work for the niche of long range fire support, preferably from a prone position. And for this purpose you could just be using a sniper, and be totally fine even if you did want to fire standing up...
My playstyle is: mk14 supressed and mk249. I use mk14 most of the time, use pistol on close quarter, mk249 is when i got detected, just mow down gun and run the enemies.
really wish LMG's would get access to medium range sights because the simple close optics just don't give the weapon class any justice. in the end it will always be the argument of accuracy over rate and volume of fire
Not all the time but i use them. I'm generally closer though as range is not fun with those scopes, but convoys and the mortar missions are easier with them. I tend to use either the M249 or the Mk-48, good damage and accuracy on both imo.
It doesn't matter. All that matters in the name of science is that I used them both in the same environment, under the same circumstances - for comparison.
You can use an LMG like an assault rifle. I use the stoner often as my main and a sub machine gun as a secondary. You can't carry more ammo than this! I switch to the suppressed smg in close quarters. Where the LMG shines though is when shit goes to hell and a car full of bad guys screeches to a halt in front of you. You can immediately spray those assholes with bullets. Good chance you will survive.
I think the fact that the convoy between the LMG was apart compared to the aug, you didn’t use cover, and calking it up to just dying simply because you weren’t giving the same advantages as you did with the aug. personally I would say comparing them in such a way wasn’t fair due to how many factors that were human error and difference makes me think it was a purposeful misleading trick, not to mention only doing one test instead of say 2-3 doesn’t make for a fair test sample
I've managed to ambush a convoy with unidad RPK, always suppressing the enemies and killingbthe faster I can, good for close-to-medium range combat, and recoil doesn't matter, if you control it the right way Now, vehicle destruction rate is not horrible but not the best, sure choppers win't stand a chance but armored land vehicles will be a little bit harder to destroy, just keep firing, for that GLs, Cuentista or BDC will do the work, even an AR or P90 doorkicker for example could work if not destroying the vehicle Why having a great fire rate while you will use it on short range? Kill the drivers and passengers with an SMG or a quick AR (FAMAS, M4A1,...) LMGs are good for ambushing enemies, killing all of them before they get out a car without reloading, that a P90 won't do but an SMG has a greater fire rate so you kill enemies faster but you'll reload a lot LMGs are for suppressing enemies and taking down big bunches of enemies
The Stoner-63...definitely the worst LMG IMO! Stupid amount of recoil; completely unrealistic and that suppressor is a nice touch, but good God that thing is nearly as long as the weapon itself. I'll wait for the Mk48 and M249 videos. Others are good, but those the only two I like Lol Two things that piss me off with the LMGs in Wildlands (I'm completely blaming Ubisoft being IDIOTS): 1) suppressors on every other weapon but not on LMGs...WTF?? 2) shitty shitty selection of crap optics; no CompM4, no ACOG, no real viable optic... Ubisoft's way of thinkin is just stupid to me!
i used to use LMG moved on to SR635 has same or better damage more accuracy over range LMG are useless over 100m SR635 is fine to 200m , biggest advantage LMG's is clip size but take heaps to reload SR635 only holds 30 rounds but super fast reload time, LMG are also slow to aim, just give it a try watched all your vids and you never used it once. mine built for going loud compM4, ext butt ,standard barrel, ext mag, V3 forgrip, compensator it will take out chopper in 10 rounds
LMG's are quite fine at long range. It's their main intended purpose to lay down automatic fire over long distances. You basically want the LMG positioned similarly to a sniper. Unfortunately there aren't good optics for LMG's, for whatever reason, so whoever is doing this should have keen eyes and a good display and graphics settings, lol. In the game, assault rifles are actually too accurate firing full auto to distance. Realistically only an LMG with it's heavy weight and large barrel should be effective at landing continuous fire on a distant spot. Any riflemen would 100% need to fire single shots to have any hope of efficient accuracy. The 249 is the only LMG you'd really want to use while maneuvering, it doesn't have a ridiculous barrel jerking effect while you try to use it standing up.
Seems as though ubisoft is holding the lmg down to keep it from being too op. If it had a scope with mag and a bipod for recoil control it'd be pretty nasty.
It was your shitty shooting, when using the stoner you fired like a madman all over ther place as though you didn't want the stoner to be better plus is the stoner the best choice ?
I called them "trucks" throughout the entire vid, because they are. Zero said "Jeep"... damn someone call the language police. He's from Scotland. idk what they call them over there.

Compare an LMG with an AR (with the same mods) is stupid. you said yourself there are not many good optics for LMG´s and no one would play with "lesser" parts. So compare them with hte best you can equip, otherwise you downgrade the AR´s! Another strongsuit of AR´s is the grenade launcher. Sorry, i love LMG´s but they are trash in WIldlands in my oppinion.
Sorry dude, there is nothing that could be called similar to have a fair test and no LMG’s are in no way ever more accurate as you stated they are a sustained automatic weapon for suppression
Why don't you cut your videos when you're editing them so we don't have to watch you navigating the menus so much? Just get all the shots you need, then put them all together, slap some clean labels on it and BAM you got yourself a straight forward video.
If Ubisoft wanted to make this more realistic as far as LMG’s are concerned, they should’ve given you a bipod as well as a scope with some magnification.
EyeSky I think it was a balancing decision
If they wanted it realistic, not every bullet would be a traccer, there wouldn't be hit markers and audible "thups" when you hit someone at 500+ yards. 500 yards would be more like shooting 500 yards than shooting 1,000 yards. Your AI team wouldn't botch your tactics like a strafing flash mob... etc. I could go on. It's not Project Reality or Arma. Get watcha get.

-don’t bother using them at range
-use the actual good ones (vector, scorpion).
If I could give my AI companion weapons, it would be the BFG-50A. How does one stop four men armed with tank cannons? You don't.
Can't do that as the other two would just jump in front of him.
I've been wishing we could kit out the AI squadmates since I started playing this game like a month ago.
So dumb that you can control what they wear and what gender they are (which is awesome in and of itsel) but you can't choose their weapons.
I really wish we had more AI commands as well.
Instead of just "stay put"/"go here"/"come to me"/"shoot.... whatever"
I wish you could make them take up positions of your choosing and then set them to like cautious defensive or aggressive offensive.
Or command for suppressing fire or for them to cover while you move.
WTF NOOBISOFT.
It seems like it wouldn't take all that much more effort to revamp the squadmates.
I do that in breakpoint. 4 MSN squad all have mk48s
You're a great RUclipsr and you find ways to keep your series alive on a 1 1/2 year old game it is great how active you are as well.
Nice to see you back on youtube.
Thx mate. I got it sorted :D :D
Yeah we destroyed the truck. we weren't worried about that, just killing the targets and seeing which weapon did it best.
I just recently started this game last week, and my favorite AR/LMG combo is the ACR w/ m203 (for wiping out multis in cars) & the Llamativo (for shooting down helis until I get the HTI)
Gotta use that shift short grip to keep the recoil manageable.... it's pretty much the only option on lmgs
anyone disillusioned by the recoil in this, if you run the shift short angled grip and a compensator V2 the recoil with a long barrel is easily managed in bursts. if you run that grip, comp V2, and the standard barrel the gun is basically a laser.
i love the stoner as just an all purpose weapon. big enough mag for when shit hits the fan, solid bullet drop for range, and a suppressor for taking out targets in stealth.
honestly if you could equip more LMGs with supressors and high magnification optics i would probably only use them.
Mk249 with supressor and 3-4 times zoom optic would be op on wildlands.
Mk249 is my go to LMG, and the MDR for assault rifle. For close quarters it's a fabulous combination. And always the blacklist pistol.
The Stoner is perfect for fire support and/or suppressing mainly when they're veichles involved. But not for directly going on the offensive leading an attack.
"The higher one is the Stoner" uhhhhhhh... ok.
well he's not wrong either way you interpret it soooo.....
Quite interesting new Test! Awesome Job!
Yeah, something different. Thanks :)
🍻 to Zero ! Love hearing some love for the belt-fed brethren 👍
By far the best lmg in my experience is the Mk48. Max its handling(whichever stat reduces horizontal sway) and it becomes a fking laser beam. Lmgs also completely demolish vehicles and deal obscene dmg. my 48 is and always has been my go to in this game.
Well I think you convinced me to change my assault rifle to the AUG A3. Great test, keep em coming!
The Aug A3 is a beast. Yeah man you should try it :)
What were you using before?
Darkdally The AUG is accurate out to range, but I think it's very much overrated though. I did notice they nerfed the crap outta the Mk17 and AK47!!! I almost cant stand the AK47 now.
M17
Chears Darkdally...
i usually do this at the desert motel near the northeastern border of the salt lake.
Lately, the MK249 has been my go-to for Rebel Radio missions.
Can you do the MK249 next?
Yeah, I'll see if I can do that. thx :)
Thanks. I prefer the Mk249 over any of the other LMGs.
Also the mk48
Darkdally 2nd vote for the M249, the Mk48 next. Love those LMGs.

"The higher one is the stoner"
😂😂
Nothing beats the Grenade Launcher.
Btw use a Shift Short Angled Grip on your LMG's. It helps sooo much.
LMGs are some of my favorite guns, however they don’t have the same play style as ARs. LMGs work best for taking down bigger targets or larger groups of enemies because of their damage, range and ammo capacity. Using an LMG/AR lineup is extremely effective for taking down bases
That what I use a m60 and an acr
#1 rule for LMG use in this game, don't even try to do more than 2 bullet bursts while standing up. Even with 2-bursts, the second bullet might end up in a different country. It's critical you are at least crouched, preferably prone. The one exception seems to be the 249, that one seems somehow exempt from the ridiculous horizontal jerking the other LMG's have.
LMGs are useless on tier 1. Fun when not in tier mode.
Video done.
PSA AR-15 < M4 only because pew pew instead of ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppew
I have always used the RPK (DLC)
the PKM or the Madre Coca PKM.
Stoner is the Only one with the "Can" option but has crap recoil.
You were right in your other video about how great LMG’s are for helos and vehicles.
I like this vids so much
Thanks :)
if you were able to do the both guns in a single shot mode you likely fix the scope drift caused in both in 3 round burst and full auto not to exist..
If you could stick a 4-8x optic on the same calibre weapon no matter the platform you would improve your aim point
Jason howe Semi Auto*
I mean I like to use the lmgs but I rarely do only if I have tons of enemies attacking me
Thought the stoner a1 would have better handling for having a silencer but nothing.
The proper way to compare both is using over the shoulder view , not through the viewfinder.
Run them through drills convoys are too dynamic. There would be a lot of things I'd measure for that a single convoy couldn't give you.
Does a short barrel lessen recoil?
Hey brother, can you make a video on tier mode, what is tier mode, and should I go to tier mode. Explaination of benefits/cons
put a shift short on lmg's in this game. you'll thank me later.
also, 249>stoner. treat it like an m4 with more bullets.
an lmg is better against armored enemies, enemies in cover, and when your friend blows up the unidad helo and and now you have to fight your way through unidad AND the cartel.
when you absolutely, positively, need EVERYTHING dead, go maximum dakka.
The 249 is serviceable while on the move. Meaning the penalty for firing while standing up is not completely ridiculous. For other LMG's, sadly they only work for the niche of long range fire support, preferably from a prone position. And for this purpose you could just be using a sniper, and be totally fine even if you did want to fire standing up...
yeah you definitely didn't read my comment lmao
My playstyle is: mk14 supressed and mk249. I use mk14 most of the time, use pistol on close quarter, mk249 is when i got detected, just mow down gun and run the enemies.
Can you test out bullet drop and damage of the other LMGs
But but ARs have grenade launchers
U can take out a copper with 2 mags tho when u got the vehicle damage upgrade
Nice video man
Thank you!
I’m sorry, but I only use the legendary scar.
really wish LMG's would get access to medium range sights because the simple close optics just don't give the weapon class any justice. in the end it will always be the argument of accuracy over rate and volume of fire
Sidewinder Gaming I agree that they should add medium range or long range but it could make snipers useless
My favorite lmg is the one you get from the one casino province
Does anyone even use LMGs?
Maybe more people should? lol
Me
Not all the time but i use them. I'm generally closer though as range is not fun with those scopes, but convoys and the mortar missions are easier with them. I tend to use either the M249 or the Mk-48, good damage and accuracy on both imo.
I use stoner, tap fire within 150m is superb, and it can be suppressed.
Me
Well will anyone use an lmg or ar like u do against a convoy
It doesn't matter. All that matters in the name of science is that I used them both in the same environment, under the same circumstances - for comparison.
Could you make an assault rifle loadout?
#1? I think so
You can use an LMG like an assault rifle.
I use the M4 with a long barrel and acog.
shame the MG3 isnt in wildlands, just saying
I think the fact that the convoy between the LMG was apart compared to the aug, you didn’t use cover, and calking it up to just dying simply because you weren’t giving the same advantages as you did with the aug. personally I would say comparing them in such a way wasn’t fair due to how many factors that were human error and difference makes me think it was a purposeful misleading trick, not to mention only doing one test instead of say 2-3 doesn’t make for a fair test sample
I've managed to ambush a convoy with unidad RPK, always suppressing the enemies and killingbthe faster I can, good for close-to-medium range combat, and recoil doesn't matter, if you control it the right way
Now, vehicle destruction rate is not horrible but not the best, sure choppers win't stand a chance but armored land vehicles will be a little bit harder to destroy, just keep firing, for that GLs, Cuentista or BDC will do the work, even an AR or P90 doorkicker for example could work if not destroying the vehicle
Why having a great fire rate while you will use it on short range? Kill the drivers and passengers with an SMG or a quick AR (FAMAS, M4A1,...)
LMGs are good for ambushing enemies, killing all of them before they get out a car without reloading, that a P90 won't do but an SMG has a greater fire rate so you kill enemies faster but you'll reload a lot
LMGs are for suppressing enemies and taking down big bunches of enemies
4 shots :( mine takes 6 probs tier mode they used to take 4.. the M4A1 and the AUG is my favorite assault rifle
LMGs are designed as support weapons
Stoner looks like the Smartgun from Aliens.
Nikolai Manning Meh.
MK-249's probably the best one imo.
Lol. Mk48, PKM, and the Bren are my favorites.
*LMG, MOUNTED AND LOADED*
The Stoner-63...definitely the worst LMG IMO! Stupid amount of recoil; completely unrealistic and that suppressor is a nice touch, but good God that thing is nearly as long as the weapon itself. I'll wait for the Mk48 and M249 videos. Others are good, but those the only two I like Lol
Two things that piss me off with the LMGs in Wildlands (I'm completely blaming Ubisoft being IDIOTS): 1) suppressors on every other weapon but not on LMGs...WTF?? 2) shitty shitty selection of crap optics; no CompM4, no ACOG, no real viable optic... Ubisoft's way of thinkin is just stupid to me!
Lmg's are best for suppressing fire and as a fire support element for the other 3 members of your fire team..... almost like in real life, lol
Spetsnaz soon?............pls
Bro if your gonna shoot with that thing I'd suggest iron site
Best LMG is MK48. The rest of the LMGs jump around all over the place.....
Love your videos bud! Keep it up! Also anyone here play seriously on Xbox?
Matthew Adcock I play Xbox one
Im on xbox one and i play pretty often, on tier 21 so have to play somewhat seriously
DrEdward25 if ya ever wanna add and play
Awesome. I'm TexasSpartan099. Just got the game last Friday
Ah okay, if ya ever need help just lemme know!
i used to use LMG moved on to SR635 has same or better damage more accuracy over range LMG are useless over 100m SR635 is fine to 200m , biggest advantage LMG's is clip size but take heaps to reload SR635 only holds 30 rounds but super fast reload time, LMG are also slow to aim, just give it a try watched all your vids and you never used it once. mine built for going loud compM4, ext butt ,standard barrel, ext mag, V3 forgrip, compensator it will take out chopper in 10 rounds
Sup dude I love your PvP videos
Seems as though ubisoft is holding the lmg down to keep it from being too op. If it had a scope with mag and a bipod for recoil control it'd be pretty nasty.
It was your shitty shooting, when using the stoner you fired like a madman all over ther place as though you didn't want the stoner to be better plus is the stoner the best choice ?
Ok now do The Division
The higher one was the stoner
Im pretty sure they're humvees not jeeps
I called them "trucks" throughout the entire vid, because they are. Zero said "Jeep"... damn someone call the language police. He's from Scotland. idk what they call them over there.
Darkdally could u be my friend on ps4 please I've followed u but cant friend u so could u please friend me
Get rid of the site and fire from the hip
I prefer using the stoner lmg
Just so I can suppress the Hispanics
While being a stoner
While *NOT* reloding
I use my primitavo to take out helicopters

Compare an LMG with an AR (with the same mods) is stupid. you said yourself there are not many good optics for LMG´s and no one would play with "lesser" parts. So compare them with hte best you can equip, otherwise you downgrade the AR´s!
Another strongsuit of AR´s is the grenade launcher.
Sorry, i love LMG´s but they are trash in WIldlands in my oppinion.
Pew-pew-pew vs pewpewpew pewpewpew pewpewpew
Darkdally could u be my friend on the ps4
Sorry dude, there is nothing that could be called similar to have a fair test and no LMG’s are in no way ever more accurate as you stated they are a sustained automatic weapon for suppression
Why do you still play this game
Because it is fun.
Because it is great :D
Chase McKissick cause its a fun game. And thats the point with a gaming channel
lmgs are a joke lol
Why don't you cut your videos when you're editing them so we don't have to watch you navigating the menus so much? Just get all the shots you need, then put them all together, slap some clean labels on it and BAM you got yourself a straight forward video.
That sounds awesome...you should make your own channel..
