He is on fire to start the Summer League. Like he is a level above all these dudes. Thats good. Thats what progress and experience looks like.
Facts spot on
Maybe because he played a full season in the NBA.
@@timmytheinventor4746that means nothing
@@timmytheinventor4746not really who else did you see scoring the same way? He is not just gettinga hoops at the besket and dunking.
He is doing what great scorers do, pull up jumpers ,turnaround fade away jumpers, step Back Threes, Euro-step drives. Like every move.
Yes it will be more challenging in the regular season but it just goes to show the growth confidence and maturity in his game.
Shaedon Sharpe ain't doing the same does he? Jalen Duren? Ivey?
All of them played and had great seasons and people called Jabari a bust now that he balls out folks say its just summer league 🤣🤣🤣
He is also younger than many of the rookies like the Thompson twins and Brandon Miller
Dude is looking dangerous. The way he can score for every from every spot on the floor, go right or left, use both hands. Very impressive. So smooth.
And he’s still super young
Reminds of kd he’s a kd/tmac hyrbid
Jabari Smith Jr.'s development has gone differently than most thought it would. But that doesn't mean it's been bad. Smith will go crazy this season🔥
Besides his scoring ability what I like about him that-he’s a very good defender whose body language frequently suggests that he actually likes defending. His ability to switch onto guards is so nice.
@@pg13pacernation30 Stephen Silas was not doing his job now we got a coach and will unlock jabaris full potential
Houston Has So Much Young Talent It’s Insane.
They have potential for a playoff spot given vets coming in too, fr sleeper team
@@JebroniLamesI wouldn’t go that far but I expect them to compete this year as opposed to last year
Our main core is JG, Sengun, Jabari, Amen, Tari, Kpj, Cam. All extremely young with star potential, if at least 3/7 of those guys breakout and become all stars we can contend, if 5-6 out of 7 break out we’re a superteam
@@JebroniLamesI would say our max is sneak into the play in as like the 10th seed or 9th seed
@@nocap6000 hopeium turned up to 11 lmao
His mid range/fade game is slept on as well. His shooting motion is so pure
I'm a rockets fan and been praising hismiddy even when he was shooting bad last yr.
it's smooth and rises over everyone .
we didn't feed him last yr , he would never bring the ball up.
get isos from the perimeter or get designed playcalls last yr since we were tanking.
Jumper looking well developed 🏀📺👀🍿
and he's 6'11 with good defensive ability. But he's on the Rockets with a trash coach and the worst Guards
@@mknwyudoka is not a trash coach are you crazy?
I was this dudes biggest critic all last year staring fron summer league. Man i have to eat my words if he continues to play like this. Its crazy to see the difference from last years summer league to this one. Hes so much more fluid, confident, assetive, and just overall not a deer in the headlights
Same here man
They forgot this kid in his rookie year hold giannis in 8pts.
That was a good ass game. 👍
That shot is silky smooth. Jabari/green and alpren will be the future core of this team.
Amen
Cam
@Zayden842☠️
And Amen Tari and possibly Kpj/Cam. We building a superteam lol
@@nocap6000 kpj has a bad attitude he’s not gonna be staying in houston
He has been bringing the ball up, taking people off the dribble. He is showing us his bag. We seeing a whole different jabari
Dude is a star in the making!
Yup, since last year, but he has improved a lot
He looks a lot more comfortable. He’s driving it to the rim more, therefore getting to the line more. Looking forward to seeing what he does this seasons.
yup looks more under control and assertive.
and he's getting more opportunities and freedom to ball.
last yr we would rarely call his number or let em play free
Are you single gorgeous? 😘🤤🤤
Listen to me Ime Udoka has unleashed this man already
its because they are actually using him right. Last year the coach admitted that they have not designed a play for Jabari, their number one pick...lol. Imagine being a high pick on a young team a never have a single play made for you. That when you know they were not trying to develop him but making sure they got losing record to get a chance at Wemby. He got it going after a little bit after they secured their "lottery spot". Hopefully the the addition of Vanvleet is good for him since last year he was just relegated to spotting in a corner wishing Green or KPJ will pass him the ball.
I see he worked on that handle. I remember he could only dribble twice before picking up the rock
Houston has a chance to catapult into contention out of nowhere like Memphis did a couple years back. tons of talent
Memphis made the playin game and the season after the playoffs. I think that would already be a nice goal for the rockets next season
all star within the next three years for sure
Id say in the next year or 2. Hes only 20 years old.
They need to start winning more games for them to take anyone on the Rockets seriously. But if he averages 30 and 10 rebounds a game they can't keep him out.
He just needed his #10 jersey y'all.
He has the KD length and the high release and then I also see that silky Carmelo midrange jumper it’s over!!!
The real baby KD
Let’s Go Jabari Locksmith!!!
If Jabari played in New york or LA he'd already have a shoe deal and five state farm commericials after this game.
Lol who getting that right now in NY? lol stop
Its beautiful how the hard work and discipline pay off. OMG they did all that damage without Amen Thompson on the court.
Love that he's playing in SL. Love the improvement.
Dude looking like a young Tmac
I'm convinced after the end of his season last year that he's going to be special.
DOMINATE TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL JABARI SMIFF GO HOUSTON ROCKETS CLUTCH CITY
Jabari have more confidence and develops much fast than I thought. He can be another Tracy McGrady or even Kevin Durant. If he can play SF instead of PF, he’ll have huge advantages to mismatch with any SF like KD.
Where's now HATERS Jabari Smith Jr 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Because he had a good game in summer league? Didn’t Lonzo Ball score like 36 in a summer league game and bring home the MVP? How did that fair for his NBA career? Lol FOH these summer league games mean squat
It’s Summer League. 3-10 from three Lmao
Bruh it’s the fking summer league😂😂 when he does this regularly in the real league come back to me
@@noeymo If Lonzo could stay healthy he'd be in allstar games soon. He developed nicely by the time he got to the Bulls. Lakers and Pelicans weren't using him at all. Terrible example.
@@mileschambers6068 you missed the "NBA" part of summer league, you goof. It ain't the rec league your playin in.
he got some kobe in him. those fade aways were too pretty. hell be the #1 option this year
I know this is Summer League, but wow. Jabari’s game looks like it’s at a whole new level. The confidence, the greatly improved handles, the finishing at the rim with both hands. He just turned 20. The sky is the limit for this kid.
night and day difference from last year's summer league.
Sophomore slump is myth
This man will be like Kevin Durant
T-Mac vibes
Fr
Carmelo
He is going to be an all-star
Ok Jabari I see you 💪🏾
Houston has a helluva team this year if they put it all together.
That kid is special 🔥🚀
Can tell Bari has been in the gym 😤
Ya he will be better next year.
Jabari Amen and Cam, Houston has a future
Jabari was cooking Wiseman so bad.😂
Star in the making!
summer league legend
kid got superstar talent, already at times excellent defender but if he can consistantly shoot the 3 while playmaking sheeesh thats all nba
They giving him the green light in Houston that’s why he playing like that Houston will be really good in the future
Looking like Kobe
At 6'11" and displaying this offensive repertoire, he's playing like a man among boys.
0:52 was a walk in the park
What 1 year in NBA does. Rockets look talented
Man Ime bout to develop the hell out of bro he might be a All-Star this year
Perfect body and skill set for a modern 4
Jr. Smith it's looks like a NBA superstar in this game...
Glad he's looking good. Think he might make a huge leap in year 2.
5 yrs ago, Tatum in the summer league. Shits identical.
He has Kobe's long range game, can't think of any other comparison in that aspect, AD could be but Jabari is a much more efficient shooter, just pure.
This dude is a beast
We all knew he had talent. Just needs confidence and he's getting it in the summer league
Damn, he looks tough
If he can improve his handle he's gonna be unstoppable.
Jabari best player in his draft class when it’s all said in done
😂 he not better then Paolo but Jabari is better then Chet
@@judahchild2612 I said when it’s all said in done paolo is better right now but Jabari was better in college he had and has way more upside but everyone knew Pala was more NBA ready and was more for sure thing but your body will be better five years from now I see Jabari as a 22 9 and 2 blocks guy in his prime I see paolo as a 24 7 and 4 in his prime see Jabari‘s game Translate anymore to winning though
That shot is money for Jabari.
In draft paolo and chet was almost 20 and jabari is 18 paolo and chet were 2 years older than jabari
@@judahchild2612he better than. Paolo ,he has way better defense he once he gets his shot he'll pass Paolo up buddy
Time to sit down young man. No need to still be on the court until the season
Coach has his All-Star.. get ready for a show in Hiuston this season... Smith looking like KD 🔥
I like Whitmore, more than Jalen Green. 😂
May be the greatest 2nd year prospect since Zion Williamson
Stop
@@patrick05Morganwhy is that so hard to believe, what has Zion actually accomplished so far?
@@duntrad1992 1st of all Jabari is not the best sophomore player in the league, second Zion’s made 2 allstar appearances in 3 seasons played and he was amazing in his second season averaging 27 points a game on 60+% shooting and breaking several records. Third, smith isn’t even a prospect because he’s already in the league.
This seems more like the guy they drafted.
Its those Hardens!
Beast
I’m starting to understand why Udoka took the Houston job
Modern day Lamarcus Aldridge
They need to Jabari Smith Jr, DOWN for the rest of the Summer league. Let that body heal Because The Summer league was just to make sure you was in shape for the Season. Jabari Smith Jr Got the shape , 30 or 40 points In the summer league Jabari Smith Jr is Ready, Jabari Smith Jr just went above and Beyond.

This player is going to be special, don’t mark my words until it’s marked
68% Durant
Rockets STARTER Next Season:
PG: VANVLEET
SG: GREEN
SF: EASON
PF: SMITH JR.
C: SENGUN
Thats just fckin kevin durant shii out there
The next KD 💪🏼
That boi look like kobe. End of discussion! We're talking about a rookie here, that came from auburn & coached by the magnificent Bruce Pearl. In my state of Alabama. I'm just saying I saw Jabari do the same moves kobe did in the mid post and guess what, Jason Tatum does the same things. He's Jason Tatum lil bro.
cannot understate the importance of having an actual coach this year
Jabari did something in offseason because he now have handle. I remember he froze last year when he got the ball in his hand
I really wanted scoot to land in Houston, All the Texas teams would terrorize the NBA
Scoot will be a good scorer in this league but right now we need a point guard who can handle the ball and pass. Doesn't mean Scoot can't become a good pg, but Amen is already the best "pure" point guard of this draft. The young guys like green and jabari need a point guard who can get them open
@@aaronnguyen8837 true but Scoot tho

Jabari Haters are in sue-e-side watch!
They so mad saying he's playing too hard in the summerleague. He said it himself he's here to get better, so yeah he's playing hard.😂

Good young core
Good coach , he got Nia so you know he's got it.
Lmaoo OKC got the best young core in the league. Rockets a team full of chuckers and bricks
@@jeju6892 delete this comment bro ur right about okc but rockets are a close runner up
Delusional
@@jeju6892well you are right about OKC having better young talent, but what you said about the Rockets is just mean, they also have young talent, especially Sengun, one day OKC will regret trading away Alperen Sengun to the Rockets, Just like Dodgers regret trading away Yordan Alvarez
@@jeju6892 OKC is a poverty franchise. Every big star has left and will continue to leave. Nobody wants to play in oklahoma
wiseman is always crouching he's being 6'5 while he's supposed to be 6"10 at least
If Houston had given him practice time to figure out what is wrong with him instead of putting him to matches with 0 (zero!) gameplan through him, this could have been earlier. Seems like the off time really helped him. I hope this track continues against the grownups.
Lin Byars reincarnated
GREAT JOB COACH IME UDOKA
💜🚀🚀🚀🚀
T mac kinda vibes
I'm getting Kevin Durant vibes, not saying he'll ever be as good. The height with shooting accuracy and driving (not really ball handling, but its not bad).
heavy step into a pinoy, at least he tries things you don't see often in the NBA
Tari Eason pass to Jabari
I see Tmac
You forget he's 6-11 0_o
I wish he would wear #35 ;)
Carmelo Anthony forsure
Coming of Age
Why is he even playing? He averaged 31mins a game in the regular season.
This how I be hoopin when no one sees it 🥲
