What will push Luffy over the edge will be mastery of advanced Conqueror's Haki and Devil Fruit Awakening. That combined with further mastery and development of Gears will allow Luffy the ability to match and possibly exceed Sakazuki (or at least fight on the same level as an admiral or just below the level of an emperor)
We have 2 types of Haki, Black is the Busou is a variation of weaponry. And the other is the invisible. Worked a little in the last chapter, but demonstrated a long time.

i think sabo will get akainu while luffy gets blackbeard….in the end akainu did his job as a admiral...their more of a enemy to the revolutionaries....luffy cant really fault akainu because first he was trying to kill luffy and ace got in the way and second its his job...blackbeard had no right turning in ace and catching him as a fellow pirate...fuck blackbeard ass...luffy wont forgive him.....as much as it may sound weird luffy most likely hates blackbeard more than akainu..aces death was more of an accident but he wasn't caught by accident that was on purpose by a fellow pirate on his old crew ..@@jamesvach6698
