marisa screaming: LYRAAAAAAAAAAA me: *crying* I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, I suffer with both but my poor marisa, she tries to be a good mother but she has 0 idea!!! ths video is super lovely amd the song PERFECT!
Lyra and Marisa are so much a like That it scared Lyra. Marisa is trying To be better But does it all wrong. Lyra really is a chaotic mix of both her parents! Marisas looks & intellect combined with Asriels rebellious side and temprament. Wonderful Done. Loved every second and Pararell 🥺❤️
The more I watch it, the more I feel compassion for Marisa's daemon: it was mutilated (a nose cut off) for her adutery, it has to suffer all her cruelty, towards others, towards himself, and towards herself; she doesn't listen to him much .. poor gold monkey. poor mrs coulter - twisted and tormented soul
@@jackiejackieplayz3791 that's a bummer. Closed libraries, that is. I recommend the books wholeheartedly, it's a revolution disguised as a children book :)
Every time I watch a video like this every time I see Lyra and Marisa together, my heart melts, it breaks and it shatters because I love Marisa and she loves her daughter but Lyra just can’t see it. There’s a saying “A mother’s love knows no bounds” so Lyra please give your mother a second chance.
Marisa is controlling, almost asphyxiating sometimes. Lyra doesn’t need this type of “love”. Sadly it would never work between these 2, except if Marisa had learnt to let go.
If she wouldn’t of never use the 🐒 to hurt her, and kidnapped kids Lyra would love her. I believe her mother do love her but it’s hard for her to show it.
For me it seems like around Lyra she totally panics and immediately tries the manipulation instead of showing her true feeling. She just doesn't know how to do it all. And it as well may have roots in her abusive relationship with her own mother.
@@nikikaidoxa it's also very hard for Lyra to even listen to her for a second before trying to get away ever since everything that Mrs Coulter did to her and her friends
This is such a beautiful video! Thank you for making this! You deserve much more views, just like the show itself deserves much more popularity, just for this wonderful acting.
Marisa wants to protect lyra yet she already has protection and Marisa kills them even though they are wanting to do the same thing and that is protecting Lyra
@@Brettzel_Smith Because she is her mother and "Mother knows best" :D .But also it´s a feeling every mother (or father) has towards his/her child, the only wish to protect them from harm, to keep them safe and out of any danger. Mrs. Coulter is both - the Wicked Witch and the Snow White, she is caught between her love for her daughter and her love for power which you can see what she is capable to do to claim that power...and yet when it comes to Lyra, she sort of doesn't care and is ready to throw it all away for her (third book - The Amber Spyglass). When Lyra was in danger (when she and her daemon Pan were about to be separated in Bolvangar), her motherly feelings suddenly kicked her and Marisa hasn't hesitated for a second and ran to save her (it´s different from the book and movie, where Lyra is sort of unconscious but knows Mrs. Coulter is there and in the TV show where she is completely awake and aware the entire time and yells at Mrs. Coulter "Mother!" right at the moment she sees her). Or even earlier when she went to Jordan and took Lyra to live with her... It was because something inside her woke up and she suddenly felt the need to protect her daughter from the Gobblers, who were near the Oxford stealing children. Marisa Coulter is a very complicated character, but that is what makes her interesting. Books don't say much about her or her past, so I am glad the TV show does, even though, I would like to know more about her past, because there had to happen something to make her what she is in present. I know there´s a bit of what we know already - the affair, the bastard child, a scene in S2 (ep.3), where we could learn about her childhood - abusive parents, but it´s still not enough. I hope they´ll show some more about her in S3, for example, her past with Lord Asriel, pregnancy, or when she gave birth to Lyra and what happened after it.

I totally agree. To it all funny is that she said "im nothing like you" right before doing exactly what marisa did to her.
@@nikikaidoxa The harder the denial the harder the truth

It’s marvellous .😍😍

I'm confused so if she hurts the monkey isn't she basically self harming
@@jackiejackieplayz3791 I think so. Her daemon is cruel in a book, in series it seems more tamed and sensitive.
