- In this video we are going to discover what the sine rule is and how it works.
For right angle triangles, we can use Pythagoras and SOHCAHTOA to find missing sides and missing angles. However, not every triangle is a right-angle triangle.
For non-right angle triangles we have the sine rule and the cosine rule.
The sine rule can be used to find either missing sides or missing angles in any triangle (right angle or not). The sine rule is based on opposite pairs - an angle and the opposite side. We therefore label sides as a, b and c, and angles as A, B and C. We can then simply substitute in the values to find the missing side or the missing angle.
If we're looking for a missing side, we use the formula (a / sinA) = (b / sinB).
Whereas to find a missing angle we use (sinA / a) = (sinB / b).

best educational channel I've come across in a while. thank you
Have been failing almost every sine and cosine rule previous year until i came here, thanks a lot
You are most welcome! Happy to help!
Omg this was so much more easier and clear thanks so much🤧😭
You're so welcome! 🤗
Thanks for the helpful vid. I am just doing some quick revision before my mocks.
Glad it was helpful! Best of luck!
nice and clear ! woo! Also cool animations, what program did you use for them?
Its mostly adobe after effects
And illustrator
A really nice and clear video, thanks a lot!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sohcahtoa only applies in right angles
Thanks for making some rule clear for me today😌
Happy to help!
wow wow
thank you so much.its so helpful me
You are most welcome!
THANK YOU SO MUCH VERY HELPFUL AND INSPIRING
You are so welcome!
Do we not use SOH CAH TOA in trigonometry? She said it’s used it Pythagoras ???
thanks a lot
Beautifully explained madam
Glad you liked it!
What If it says 44° and 27° for sin
Why are the formulas of missing side and missing angle different?
i still didn't get the right answer,how come...wht did i do wrong?
What did you do and what answer did you get? Tough to say what you did wrong unless you show what you did.
hence .. sine means opposite side
That second Sin rule gives me 1.25248382
How 0.99999???? M getting 63.7!!!!
second '-'
Gal fit tho
First
You look like my girlfriend if she was smart
😬
😅
