It is mad disrespectful. Players should really just not do media EVER and see what they do without em bc these guys are fucking clowns.

      No defense and too much iso from mid range kills ball movement. Plus he’s not a passer/playmaker type postup player.

    • @aqad8838
      @aqad8838 5 лет назад +6

      Since Iggy and Shaun are out of the GSW I think Melo should persue an attempt to join for less to prove he can still ball and keep his personal things off the court

      @champ2233killad 5 лет назад +2

      @@Ecaba3 That's half truths tho bruh. You're right he's strong suit is iso post up ball which is a lost art in today's game but to say Melo can't be a playmaker from that spot is kinda a stretch...here's the thing when Melo goes to work with his iso post up game he not used to look to pass simply because hes so skilled from that area of the floor he can usually get a bucket and that's how it was for so long but now with the way teams play now on defense that doesn't work I think if a team or coach sets things up Melo can be uber effective as your leading bench scorer

Even inefficient guys like kemba shoot like 42%, 40% is a joke especially when you're 6'8 and some of your 'shots' are dunks. Curry shoots high 40s low 50s and he never even dunks the ball and takes crazy difficult shots. Kyrie shot 48.7% for example.

      If Melo is so good, why hasn't LeBron picked him up in L.A.? The bottom line is that Melo is a selfish individual that put money and his stats above everything else, not the virtues of a winner or a champion. He played zero defense, his man went right around him and despite being able to occasionally score, the Rockets had a negative efficiency rating while he was on the floor. He is delusional that he still has game and too proud to play in China. The guy is a disgrace and this interview is a misrepresentation of the facts. Look at the last 3 situations that Melo was in. He's getting a lot of the negative rep that was the organizations' fault. He came from the Knicks, OKC and then Houston. New York has dysfunction all over. OKC people questioned if other stars can win with Russ. Houston had issues with James Harden wanting to run iso ball, while CP3 is more of a traditional guard.
      There were issues in all 3 organizations before and after Melo was there, so to even blame Melo for all 3 situations going bad is just unfair to him.

      Perhaps he does - my all-time fav NBA player is Patrick Ewing and as a hardcore No. 33 stan, I hated the fact that Ewing was a "black hole" who hardly passed to his teammates but guess what? He was a center who was a beast on the defensive end and big men aren't known to be passers...Melo -on the otherhand, has all the tools to be a great passer and yet, he's a black-hole who isn't a warrior on the defensive-end...so you tell me, “Deserves got nothing to do with it.” - William Munny a.k.a. M Ik it was the beginning of the season but that one game doesn’t make up for the other 7 games he did bad in. The problem isn’t melo’s talent or ability it’s his fit in the modern nba, and rn he just flat out doesn’t mesh well with the new era of players

    Things happen for a reason. This is Melo humbling experience. Stand up, correct what's wrong and rise. That's life

    Lmao why do they show all his low lights in the background? All missed shots, getting blocked, etc.
    The media is great at framing things ...

      eoe123321 you can’t lie tho, melo deserves a spot on a 15 man roster on most teams (talent wise)

    He averaged 13ppg shooting 40% from the field and playing no defense and making the offense stagnant. Can’t blame anybody but Carmelo

      Stevie Wondering it’s just a matter of physical decline and his skills not meshing with the way the league has gone away from ISOs and more about ball movement and efficiency.
      It’s not 2013 anymore, or even 2016. He’s an inaccurate shooter, he’s done more catch-and-shooting when other guys are drawing offensive attention and he’s not accurate. His legs aren’t there anymore. He’s a bad defender and there’s no upside to a 35 year old guy.
      Being compared with Lebron seems to have made people think that it’s normal to still be this good at this stage in his career. He’s an anomaly. Hardly any is left from the 2003 draft. Korver has a speciality that is highly valued in today’s NBA. Carmelo doesn’t. He’s declined like everyone eventually does.

      Yeah people seem to have short memories in this thread. Houston was ranked 13th or something in the Western Conference before Melo left ( not saying it was just his fault but the Rockets started winning after he left).
