They couldn't recruit blue-chip players or adjust in games when it mattered. Texas and Oklahoma are entering the SEC at the right time as well. If yall would have entered a few years ago, it would've been a problem. I've never heard Prime make an excuse even after the crap folks like you say about him. Kizla is the reason reporters can't go to practices. In the spring of 23, reporters were invited to practice but were told not to talk to a former coach who was also there and had alzheimers. The former coach's family specifically asked the school to not let that happen. Kizla immeadiately went up to that coach and started interviewing him and then wrote a hit piece on him (the older former coach) the next day revealing sensitive info to the public his family didn't want out there. Because of this, the press is not allowed to practices any longer. So Kizla has a long history of being a douche. Prime is holding these dudes accountable now and they don't like it. It made a whole lot of sense. TE role on this team is block first and help set the line of scrimmage for the vertical pass game and run game. When that is established and the defense must go to a nickel or dime package to deal with the vertical game, now you can use your TE on the seam routes to attack the middle of the field. Then it becomes a game of choosing your poison. Put in two linebackers to help stop the run and leave your DB's on an island to deal with the Wide receivers or go Nickel or Dime to deal with the receivers and get smoke up the middle with the seam and crossing routes and run game because you had to go lite. That is what he meant by the defense having to change when you put in a TE. Last year there was no change when the Tight End was in the game. He was too lite to help in the run game so the defense could run a dime or nickel package to deal with the wide receivers and keep in a single line backer to deal with the run game, so the defense did not have to adjust.
tell me you don't know about football without telling me you don't know about football. SMH. If you have TE that can block you can DISGUISE that it could be a run or a pass. If you have small TE's on the ends you know, in theory, its going to be a pass either way because that small TE can not be relied upon to stop a pass rusher. So it makes perfect sense to "say" that the TE is blocking when you might have a TE with the hands of Jerry Rice - so you always plan to throw more than run - but you don't want your opponent to assume that they don't have to account for the run.
