Yes but he didn’t include many of the emergency declarations that were declared back in January, and when discussing emergency declarations made in March, he focused on failures of the speech instead of how the administration is using the funds. To be fair when you have such a vast amount of money you can usually get away with contracting out work whenever necessary. At the same time it is definitely foolish to ignore the reason that the pandemic response office was set up as a proactive measure rather than a reactive one. It's obvious that he cares more about his own pockets than the people who line them. I hate to say it but he's so arrogant he'll probably end up catching the virus himself. Maybe then he'll finally realise that money can't buy everything but by then it'll probably be too late.

      www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/mar/17/instagram-posts/celebrities-are-sharing-misleading-post-about-trum/
Because there's a lot of lies coming around.
      1. Trump did NOT fire the pandemic response team. It was combined with another office, and a specialized coronavirus team was created in response to the outbreak.
      2. Trump did not cut funding to the CDC. He thought about it, and didn't go through with it. In fact, his proposed budgets have been increasing the proposed CDC funding.
      3. Trump didn't refuse WHO tests, because the US isn't on the list of countries that the WHO supplies with those kinds of things. The US makes its own tests. It is not on the WHO's list, and is therefore not up to the president's jurisdiction.
      4. Trump didn't call the virus a dem hoax. He called the Democrats trying to politically weaponize the virus for political gain a hoax.

I'm experiencing symptoms of this virus and contacted my doctor to discuss my symptoms, as recommended by the WHO.
He strongly urged me to contact my local health department for testing. So I did. The woman on the phone said they need a direct referral from my doctor for authorization for free testing.
I called the office asking the doctor to contact them. The next day I received a call from my pcp saying I was denied for the free test because I cannot "clearly define who was a carrier" I came into contact with. However, if I choose, I can pay for the test out of pocket.
Problem is, Medicare doesn't cover that shit, no matter that I'm in the *high risk* category with diabetes, a heart disease (SVT), AND respiratory diseases (asthma and chronic bronchitis.)
So I'm just stuck under self-quarantine because our government wants to keep the "official numbers low."
Our government, the ones who are supposed to protect us, has betrayed us.
I don't meet the criteria for testing because I can't specify anyone in particular who has been a carrier.
What kind of world do we live in where the sick are told to just sit and wait for an illness to kill them because they can't afford treatment before it's too late? 😢

Take it lightly like Italy, and all you got are floppy spaghetti. People starve, and hospitals have no room to treat the severe symptoms, and its national healthcare collapses like said limp linguini.

Yeah, 5% of the population may die if the vulnerable fail to selfsegregate, but is that worse than the economical consequences of this response? We are only seeing the beginning, the plan by the virologists involved having this be the new normal for most of the time (with a few breaks) until a vaccine comes around which they expect in 12 to 18 months at the absolute earliest. People will starve, and not just 5%.

If itd be lower, that would make it just more true. There is no *good* way forward but as for the economic consequences of losing 5%, that would be true if it was random. Its not. Im not saying we shouldnt care about the life of an 80 year old, however, the economical impact is lower than losing a young adult or even a child. And theres thus far no recorded deaths under 10, under 40 its only been recorded to be lethal in 0.2%of cases for each agegroup except the under 10 year olds where it sits at zero.
It increases to 0.4% to 40-49 year olds, 1.3% for 50-59, 3.6 for 60-69, 8% for 70 to 79 and 14.8 to 21.9% (depending on dataset, suspected vs confirmed cases) for 80+.

Like are you going to get rid of the NTSB if there haven't been any plane crashes in 1-2 years? No of course not, because these types of groups are essential and time is of utmost importance to these types of groups. Even if you could get these groups back "quickly" just the mere fact that they all have to travel to one central location to do their job is time lost or how about the fact that if they aren't part of one of these groups that they wouldn't be getting as much information about things that are going on in order to be able to keep people safe.

and that reminds me of the statement "ok so the president wasn't perfect but is there really any reason to impeach? the election is just around the corner. how much damage could he do in the the last few months"
      response: "a lot"
      and here we are...
but to be "fair" i don't think the replacement would have done much better in terms of response time. but then again. days and even hours can make a big difference.
should have never disbanded the response team. that it self is negligence more worthy of impeachment imo. you do not cut out the safety nets and unique emergency response teams just to save a quick buck.

He actually has a shit ton wrong and leaves out a lot of information.
For instance: the reason we don't have test kits is because we've outsourced almost all of our medical production for like 50 years. We don't even make anti-biotics here, nor do we make UV bags.... China makes most of it but obviously we aren't getting anything from them right now
He also didn't mention how the administration has been writing regulation and making moves since January....
Legal Eagle is an extremely biased DC attorney, and he's been called out countless times by other RUclips lawyers from around the world. He actually has really shitty and biased analyses where he leaves out a lot of information. He's also never accepted an offer from any other RUclips lawyer about any of mishaps.
