I feel ya. I had a 5mm hole in my aortic valve due to endocarditis, and had my aortic valve replaced 2 years ago on April 8, 2024. I thankfully went low carb back in 2018 and lost 150lbs - from 321lbs to 170lbs. My ejection fraction has improved to 65%. I eat no sugar, refined carbs, no junk food. I eat one or two meals a day. Most of my meals consist of a protein and a low glycemic vegetable. I do eat an occasional sweet potato. I’m 63 now. I’m on Metoprolol and a baby aspirin. I can’t lift weights like I did in my 20’s & 30’s, but I’m just happy to walk. If you head into the transplant arena there is a great channel out there called “Transplant Helper”. If you want to naturally lower sugar, I can help you.

when i had the hole open it was nothing to 8mm. crazy. Great job on the weight loss and diet. cutting out sugar, etc. is a huge deal. i actually lean to the wolf diet of fruits, but no veggies to minimize inflammation too. Sounds like you're doing well, keep it up!

@@NoLimitsNoRegrets Fructose (from fruit) goes straight to the liver and creates a fatty liver. This in turn puts a strain on the heart. I eat NO fruit whatsoever. Occasionally, in season, I will have raspberries or blueberries with unflavored, unsweetened full fat whole milk Greek yogurt, but that’s it.

I don’t know you, but I watched your story before I had my heart surgery and It really helped me with my expectations and recovery. I want to ask you something, have you considered Flow Therapy? I don’t know a lot about it but I know a guy who’s EF is 30% or so and he’s showing signs of improvement with this treatment. Just thought I’d mention it to you. God bless

Thanks for reaching out and so glad to hear my experiences/videos were helpful for you. I haven't heard of flow therapy, but i'll look into it. don't know if you saw the videos on stem cell treatment for the heart, but i've done this the last few years as well. Stay healthy and make every day matter!

Hey brother, how are you holding up now? I saw this video about a month ago hence thought to ask you if there is any positive news. I really like your spirit, and since my father has also gone through a Mitral valve replacement, your videos have always helped me understand what to expect. I truly wish that your story takes a positive turn and hopefully we all can see you for many more years.

Much appreciate the kinds words, and great to hear these videos help ppl like you. Unfortunately i'm a little short of good news here, in fact things took a turn for the worse with the valve, but just means i have to turn the dial up to 11 now. Newest video on that just posted at ruclips.net/video/jfJMsK1Okp4/видео.htmlsi=QUTqNzbZnTbudcta on the details. Your pop is lucky to have you helping him through it. Take care of the both of you!

@@NoLimitsNoRegrets I just saw your latest video and I am sad to hear about the latest status. I sincerely hope that you find some sort of solution when you follow up for that second opinion with the doctors. You seem like a really really nice person and it is an honour that I came across your videos which have given me a new perspective towards life. I will definitely pray for you.

You need to see a Pulmonary Sleep Doctor. I still have sleep apnea even after losing 150lbs, and I’ve been on a CPAP for 24 years, and still am. Best sleep of my life. You also need to fire your PCP, and get a Disability Lawyer. A Disability Lawyer will get it worked out.

i have friends and family that did find sleep apnea was the issue, but not for me. i do agree this pcp may not be the right choice and made an appt with an alternate already. also talked to 2 attorneys that went no where, both out of state, but think i found a local one that advertises experience in heart failure, so will check with them next.
