I have to agree with you... as a dry skin gal, I NEVER NEVER have looked oily. I have made this comment several times on her videos... either her skin is gradually becoming oily or less dry (as the time is getting longer since her accutane days) or she’s dehydrated vs. dry , as you said .... very good suggestion 😁
People are very confused by this. If your skin is still shiney when it is dry you are dehydrated. Your skin will over produce oils to try to compensate for the dryness. Learning this has saved my poor skin.
Yea I was thinking the same thing. I've always had dry skin and never get oily/greasy looking it just doesn't happen. True dry skin does not produce oils like Taylor's skin often does. I would agree she is probably dehydrated. I also thought the shade was perfect 👌 not too dark. Xoxo ❤️

I REALLY appreciate the close ups! However, I don't think you have dry skin. You wouldn't get oily a few hours in if you had dry skin. Maybe your skin is returning to your OG oily skin type since stopping the accutane? Maybe your skin is a little dehydrated? No hate, just some pointers!

Stephanie Stites agreed. As a makeup artist with dry skin, depending on your skin prep and the product itself, if the product is jet packed full of oils you can expect to see it break down and look oily.

I’ve been loving this foundation. What I love the most is combining it with my drier, more matte foundations that I can’t part with. It really enhances most of my other foundations and creates beautiful coverage.
Taylor, you need to try the F3 shade! We have really similar skin tones & F3 works really well applied over the Revlon Photo Ready pore-filling primer. I Wish I could insert a photo b/c I have it swatched next to CYO 101 & some other pale ppl foundations. PS: You should totally revisit the L’Oréal Pro Glow Infallible in Classic Ivory if you enjoy this one. It stays put better & has very similar coverage/feel (but make sure you purchase in store to buy the lightest looking tube b/c their QC is laughable, & they’re all over the place).
Yes I love the pro glow!!!! I'm the same shade but different undertone so I'm 202 creamy natural. And omg I couldn't agree with u more about going to look at the shades in store! And loreals foundation quiz is off as well! I put in my shades to match me after I bought the pro glow and the 24hr infallible and they were waaaaay off! Trying to tell me I have yellow undertones when I'm more peach/pink. At least play it safe and tell me I'm neutral lol
Pro glow burns my eyes. When I said this, my Mom said "well dont put it in your eyes" 🤦♀️😂 obviously I dont but my eyes still burn like crazy anytime I wear it
@@janelle009 I usually just don't put any foundation w/SPF in it on my eyelids/around my eyes, b/c my skin & eyes are both really sensitive. I love its finish though! I also can't wear eyeliner in my water line and many eyeshadows turn my eyes bloodshot instantly as well. So annoying!
Janelle 09, ah, ok, that makes sense. If you’re oily, it could definitely be migrating, I think. I should also make the disclaimer that I’m going to be 37 in a few weeks, & have generally dry skin, so, ymmv!
This camera and lighting is absolutely perfect! For such a long time I had a hard time being able to tell what you were talking about regarding your skin but I can definitely see it with this camera quality. Amazing! 💜
Your camera quality has made such a huge difference in this video. So worth the investment! It’s so clear and super helpful to see what’s actually happening on the skin.
Holy crap, that camera is great. Thanks for being vulnerable enough to show us those closeups with such a good camera so we can make informed decisions.
Not to be an ass, but are you sure you have dry skin? It seems like 90% of foundations you review have the same end result of looking extra "dewy". I know you were on accutane but it is possible for skin to revert back to what it was before.
I think the same! I have dry skin and it takes an extremely dewy foundation to end up looking oily on my skin. Most moisturising foundations end up looking normal on my skin
This is just a guess, but I'm thinking she might have combination dehydrated skin. I made the mistake of thinking I had dry skin for the longest time, yet all the moisturizers were super greasy on me. My skin hated matte foundations equally as much as glowy foundations. Semi - matte and slightly dewy seem to do wonders on my skin now since I figured out it's not dry, but dehydrated!
Yessss, thank you. 90% of foundations she tries would be way too matte/drying for my dry skin type, but end up getting “dewy” on her skin. I keep seeking out foundations (like CYO Lifeproof) that ppl call dewy & “skin-like,” & being like, “whaaaat? Yo, this is some satin-matte business, at best!” 😂 Off topic, but: Also, I cannot wrap my head around ppl, Taylor included, saying that the Physician’s Formula translucent light powder is “luminous?” I ordered it from ULTA, eagerly awaiting my new radiant, glowy, youth-recaptured undereyes, & instead was like, “womp, womp, wooooomp.” It’s straight up matte on my skin, honestly.
I see most people are commenting on your new camera. I was blown away! This was the first time I've been able to see all of your skin. Thanks for showing it as it truly is. Far too many in this community don't. I was surprised at how far/well the foundation went/covered but I do agree. It made your skin look more greasy than dewy. I checked out the reviews on Ulta. They were really mixed. I'm curious to know your opinion on the new Milani palette. Your eye look was beautiful...
Your foundation/concealer reviews are SO helpful to me and my favorite on RUclips so I thought I’d give some more suggestions for foundations/concealers you could review for us, especially with 15 days of foundation coming! I would love to see your review on the Uoma Beauty Say What?! Foundation, Uoma Stay Woke Luminous Brightening Concealer, Milani Conceal + Perfect Longwear Concealer, Flesh Pure Flesh Liquid Foundation, the Colourpop Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer, the new Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (it’s a new and improved formula), Zoeva Authentik Skin Natural Luminous Foundation, and the Beauty Bakerie InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation. Also I’d love if in the description box you’d start including what concealer and powder you use undereyes for other things you’re wearing on your face!
I would love to see you try the Baeblu foundation. I found mine on Amazon, it's an aloe vera based foundation and it certainly doesn't have crazy coverage but something about it my skin just absolutely loves. You might despise it but I'm honestly just so curious to see what you'd think. Love ya girlfriend!
@@lisadgingersnaps9843 awesome! You can also order a pack af samples from the brand through Amazon. That's what I did so that I could pick the right shade. It's only like 4 bucks for 3 generous sized sample containers
I have pretty oily skin and I love this foundation! I definitely have to touch up but it stays looking beautiful. I also use a matte setting spray and powder my entire face.
Damn your new camera is amazing! I'm so so happy this brand released a moisturizing foundation - I'm about to start accutane so I've been searching like crazy for hydrating/moisturizing foundations. I've been watching all your accutane videos and I loved that you made a skincare routine, although I don't think you mentioned foundation in it - just curious, did you have a favorite foundation you liked to use while on accutane?
Camera is UNREAL!!!! PLEASE do tutorials up close and personal so that we can actually see what you're doing. I wish all YT'ers had this camera....helps so much to see what is really going on. Love it!!
Hi, I'm considering ordering this foundation and not sure what shade I am. Do you know what shade you are in maybelliene fitme? Or loreal infallible freshwear. I want to compare it with f0.2
I think I might try this. I don’t normally gravitate towards full coverage because I’m almost 40 and have wrinkles. But I think with a good pore filling primer and powder this would be beautiful. And although I have dry skin I still always powder so I think I might try it.
I'm 51, and slightly dry, and don't like matte foundations any more but I still always powder as well.... I live in a humid climate and have to otherwise makeup just slides off after a couple of hours. Plus I find powdering helps prevent makeup from gathering in my lines and helps hide my large pores left over from my younger oilier days. Haven't tried this foundation yet, but I adore the Revolution Fast Base Stick and I think I really wanna try the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops a little more than this one.
I would love to see what you think about the Makeup Revolution conceal & hydrate concealer. I have dry undereyes and would be interested to see swatches of the lighter shades. As well as your thoughts on how it wears throughout the day.
i really liked the way it looked when you first applied it, but as soon as you zoomed in even a little, i could see a lot of texture on your face. i don't feel (at least on the camera) that you looked dewy. i think it looked out right oily. by the end of the day, the break down and texture were bad. i'm curious to see this on someone with a different skin type to see how it does for them.
HOLY SMOKES! This new camera is incredible! You can truly see everything you point out on your face! Your other camera wasn’t horrible, but sometimes it was a struggle to clearly see what you were trying to show us sometimes. This is awesome!
This one looked way too yellow on me and same shade and didn’t sit well and looked dry on my dehydrated skin. I feel like lately, you’ve been getting a little less dry! Yay for you! I ended up getting the Revolution stick foundation and I love it! So emollient!!!
I adore the Revolution stick foundation too! I'm surprised how great it looks on my 51 yr old skin!! And shade F4 is the closest to perfect match I've come across in probably 20 years (I'm super cool undertoned, but more pale blue-beige than pink). I really wanna try the Foundation Drops now (from the Pro line), specially since the shades transfer across really well apparently.
I love this foundation and the concealer is really good too but what you HAVE to try is their Conceal & Fix Setting Powder. Holy smokes, this stuff blurs everything and is so beautiful and never looks powdery. The translucent is too white for me and I ended up also picking up the light pink shade and it’s perfect for me. The packaging is beautiful but it’s a pain in the butt since it does leak and the powder goes everywhere. The top flips open and the mirror is inside that so you don’t have the cap to tap off excess or pour some into so I just wanted to give you a heads up on it but I think you’ll really like it.
If you hit a drought, can you check out Korean cushions and foundation? there are a bunch of different textures, like bb cakes and whatnot, so I think it would be fun to do lol.
I just bought the F2 shade today and you were absolutely correct when you said they oxidize a bit. I wanted F3 but they were out BUT F2 was good after about an hour. It is very comfy and feels hydrating..... I like it enough to keep it.
Wow! What a good investment that camera was! What you're describing, I can totally see now! I really want to hear how you work this foundation out to wear better for your skin. Keep us updated, please!👍👍💜😊👐
I’m still waiting on the charlotte tilbury foundation review! I hope it’s coming. I understand you can’t please everyone and there are so many foundations to test. But i’m still hoping!
You need to use this foundation with their loose hydro setting powder. Omg, perfect combo. The powder blurs instantly pores and fine lines. With other foundations it's fab, but with this foundation, the 2 together give this 46 year old perfect skin... I have dry skin.
I wanna try this so bad!!! You should for sure get f1 it’s neutral and that’s such a good shade match...at least in the other finish of that foundation!
This has been my go to foundation. I'm very dry and don't use powder. I also don't get as dewy with this one. Just normal more satin like on my skin, but feels moisturized, light and not makeupy. I also use very little, so maybe why it works differently for me. I really love it!
I’m so excited to try this foundation. I have dry, slightly mature skin with scarring and hyperpigmentation and I have so much trouble trying to find a full coverage dewy foundation. 💜💕
Hi Taylor! I think you can make the lighter shade work. I have the shade F1. It oxidizes too, but not with an orange undertone. I’m pretty sure F1 is a neutral undertone. I won’t be able to wear it much longer unless I mix with a lighter foundation. I use the Elf Poreless Putty Primer around my nose to fill the pores. Have you considered that the La Roche Posay moisturizer might contribute to the emphasized pores? I had to switch my moisturizer/spf because the La Roche Posay has alcohol denat. as an inactive ingredient. That ingredient dries my skin out and heavily emphasizes my fine lines and texture. I’m actually kind of hoping you retry the Bare Minerals stick foundation. I love that foundation, but the time I used the LRP under it, my foundation looked horrible. BTW, I have dry skin too. Thanks for another great video!

It's the only foundation this happens with (others it's only if it's literally right up on my eye) I tried mixing it with my born this way since it's my favorite and it still happened so I finally gave up.
Amazing! 💜
Your camera is insane. Thanks for always keeping it real with us and zooming in, not using filters, etc.
You’re closeups in natural light cannot be beat!!! Thank YOU!
Your camera quality has made such a huge difference in this video. So worth the investment! It’s so clear and super helpful to see what’s actually happening on the skin.
Almost bought this at Ulta today and decided to wait in hopes you’d review it 🤞🏻 yasss!
Holy crap, that camera is great. Thanks for being vulnerable enough to show us those closeups with such a good camera so we can make informed decisions.
wow the new camera quality is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! and as always thank you for natural lighting check ins!
watching you blend the foundation is so satisfying omggg
I’d love to see you try this foundation again with a pore filling primer, with some more powder and a lighter shade!
Most moisturising foundations end up looking normal on my skin
thank God someone said it.
@@GaladrielOfLorien that actually makes a lot of sense!
Yo, this is some satin-matte business, at best!” 😂
Off topic, but: Also, I cannot wrap my head around ppl, Taylor included, saying that the Physician’s Formula translucent light powder is “luminous?” I ordered it from ULTA, eagerly awaiting my new radiant, glowy, youth-recaptured undereyes, & instead was like, “womp, womp, wooooomp.” It’s straight up matte on my skin, honestly.
Soooo freakin excited for 15 days of foundation with this new camera! The auto focus is absolutely insane!!!
I think that given how pretty it looks on application, I wouldn't have a problem powdering a touch up at the 6 hour mark😊
I loved when you were doing never heard of foundations. Like the Jolie stick from amazon and Holika Holika!
Hey Taylor can you please film a skincare video? AM and PM both and also tell what treatments/products help to get rid of atrophic scars?
Dannnng your camera looks amazing!!! I appreciate seeing your pores and just everything crystal clear!
I always look forward to Foundation Fridays after a long shift at work!! 😍
I like the sound of that. Going to check into it. Thank you!
Taylor!!! That camera is AMAZING!!! It’s very clear and adds so much to your review! Thank you for investing in it and us 🤗
Damn your new camera is amazing!
That is a great question and I'm going to comment in hopes that she sees and answers.. But you may also consider asking her on Instagram..
WOW!!! You’re new camera works SOO well especially for Foundation Friday! It shows everything! Love it!
Camera is UNREAL!!!! PLEASE do tutorials up close and personal so that we can actually see what you're doing. I wish all YT'ers had this camera....helps so much to see what is really going on. Love it!!
I love this foundation and wear 0.2. It’s very similar to NARS Siberia if that helps anyone.
Hi, I'm considering ordering this foundation and not sure what shade I am. Do you know what shade you are in maybelliene fitme? Or loreal infallible freshwear. I want to compare it with f0.2
Love how the camera shows everything!
Your review was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the close ups
Omg this camera made such a difference. Thank you so much for upgrading, appreciate your dedication!
Thank you for using such a great camera without a filter! Love your reviews!
I would love to see what you think about the Makeup Revolution conceal & hydrate concealer. I have dry undereyes and would be interested to see swatches of the lighter shades. As well as your thoughts on how it wears throughout the day.
New subscriber here, I LOVE how you can actually SEE what's being described, fantastic camera and great review! Thank you!
the new camera shows what your makeup actually looks like! love it!
Whoa! Loving this new camera! Insane how much detail it shows 🤯 thank you!!!
i really liked the way it looked when you first applied it, but as soon as you zoomed in even a little, i could see a lot of texture on your face. i don't feel (at least on the camera) that you looked dewy. i think it looked out right oily. by the end of the day, the break down and texture were bad. i'm curious to see this on someone with a different skin type to see how it does for them.
I love this channel because I wear the same shades plus dry skin. No better tester on all the interwebs
That camera is phenomenal!!! Wow!! Thanks for the real life up close shots.
Holy shitballs..that vloging camera is LIFE! That focus and clarity is everything.
That camera tho!!!! Wowww! I’ve never been able to see what you are talking about with foundations breaking down - now I can! Good purchase!!!
Your skin is looking amazing! I had to check in the beginning because I wasn't sure that you weren't wearing makeup yet.
HOLY SMOKES! This new camera is incredible! You can truly see everything you point out on your face! Your other camera wasn’t horrible, but sometimes it was a struggle to clearly see what you were trying to show us sometimes. This is awesome!
I bet that tatcha primer would make this PHENOMENAL
This one looked way too yellow on me and same shade and didn’t sit well and looked dry on my dehydrated skin. I feel like lately, you’ve been getting a little less dry! Yay for you! I ended up getting the Revolution stick foundation and I love it! So emollient!!!
Yeah I don’t think she’s a great indication for how foundations perform on dry skin
Could be the moisturizer shes using as well. I think I'm gonna pick that up cuz her skin looks amazing!
Awesome camera, great video as always and your skin? Gorgeous! Thanks for being so thorough
Love Fridays because of foundation Friday! 🥰❤️
This looked so good on first application! And the new vlog camera gives us such a high def view, thanks!
The camera is amazing! I can actually see what you’re talking about.
On one of my current binges of watching a shit ton of your stuff, have loved you forEVER
Wow! What a good investment that camera was! What you're describing, I can totally see now! I really want to hear how you work this foundation out to wear better for your skin. Keep us updated, please!👍👍💜😊👐
This is the first foundation review video of yours I have watched. I love your format!
I’m still waiting on the charlotte tilbury foundation review! I hope it’s coming. I understand you can’t please everyone and there are so many foundations to test. But i’m still hoping!
The revolution website has all 50 shades! Great review Taylor x
Woohoo RUclips finally gave me a notification before I saw the video myself 😂 so excited for this review!
Holy Guacamole!!! The new camera is awesome. The closeups are so detailed. Great job
Wow!!! The vlog camera is so good!!! 😱😱😱😱👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Even close up, you’re skin is beautiful!! ❤️ I think this foundation will b perfect for the winter!
I really love and appreciate the close ups 💯💯....
I think it looks really pretty. Guess I’m gonna pick some up 💗
This has been my go to foundation. I'm very dry and don't use powder. I also don't get as dewy with this one. Just normal more satin like on my skin, but feels moisturized, light and not makeupy. I also use very little, so maybe why it works differently for me. I really love it!
Love your new camera!!I really appreciate you zooming in so we could see how make up really looks😊
Keep creating, be happy and stay blessed!! ❤
I’m so excited to try this foundation. I have dry, slightly mature skin with scarring and hyperpigmentation and I have so much trouble trying to find a full coverage dewy foundation. 💜💕
Yeah yesh yeah, the camera is great! It really helps to see how the foundation is working 👍
