It handles without any problem. This morning it was -11°C outside. I have the Ampera parked in an underground garage, where there's 10°C. When I drove outside and detected such a low temperature, it engaged the gasoline engine to heat up the cabin faster. When driving off work, it was still -2°C and the battery temperature was at 5°C. The car turned on the 1.8kW battery heater, which heated up the battery to 14°C in about 15 minutes.
Hi I am considering purchasing a volt and I already have the torque app + elm327 adaptor (for my current STi). I think seeing all this additional info is really awesome (must be the engineer in me). I was just wondering how much work was it to get all this custom info? Any how if I get one I will def be looking to do something similar.
Živjo! Odvisno od tega, koliko kilometrov delaš. Po mojih izračunih, na vsakih 10.000km privarčuješ za 1.000 EUR pri gorivu. Moja trenutna LifeTime poraba je 0.72l/100km.
Hi! Sorry for replying so late, but I just read your reply. You need to add custom PIDs to your Torque app. They can be found here: gm-volt . com/forum/showthread.php?12958-CAN-bus-reading-remote-viewing-of-charge-state&p=308105#post308105 vast . uccs . edu/~tboult/VOLT/VPIDs-labeled.csv And yeah, I'm also an engineer :-)

Yes. I'm using a BlueTooth OBD2 module with Torque Android App on Samsung Galany Note mobile phone. These modules are very cheap on eBay.
How is this data overlaid onto your dashcam video?

How well does Ampera stand up to low temperatures? Electronics, LCD's and batteries seem to function without a glitch?
Nice job!
I noted that the stats are updating very quickly. Did you manage to get this high speed update rate over Bluetooth?
