When I did my headlight I pre-heated the oven to about 110 degrees celsius, then baked the headlight for about 15 - 20 minutes (with oven still on) and it came apart with ease. A lower temp for a longer period is much better. It makes the silicone nice and soft without any risk of melting your whole headlight. Plus, you don't need to use anywhere near as much force with the screwdriver either and distort the shit out of your headlight housing.
Hey bud thank you very much for the video Im just about to install it in my bike and it never crossed my mind to paint the reflectors black, great idea.
congrats this is great! I think it is the best projector retrofit in youtube, if you could upload one with a retrofit on a bmw e46 it would be so appreciated
i had heard about these just a few days after buying the morimoto for my ZX 636, wish i had checked and compared the prices and reviews on both products
you can used heat gun for alternative open the headlamp....I already do that with my by bike Minerva R150VX...or if you don't have heat gun you can used hair dryer.... :)
Hello, good morning me too, I own a splendid zx6r and I wanted to know, kindly which lens model (FARI) did you use? how many inches are they and how much is the diameter of the attachment that screws into the dish? Thanks and congratulations for the channel
Hello! Thank you for this informative video. However, you didn't mention how to do the wiring :-( My bike has a headlights on/off switch, where do I have to connect the red power wire? If I connect it directly to battery, will the on/off and the passing switches still work?
The video says to turn off the oven before inserting the headlight unit, which will heat the glue without continuing to heat for the 6 minutes... The temperature should drop pretty steadily if the oven is off, therefor protecting the unit from melting.
What does the wire on the back of the projector connect to? The one that controls the high/low beam funtion!? I cannot find ANY info on this or how to hook it up. (2002 YZF-R6) Thanks for the input. Great video, turned out great!
woooow very very NICE! But i have two doubts: 1- Where did you conect the black and red cables. Don´t understandt that funcion. 2- With this the bike dont have the funcion Maximum light right? Thanks for sharing this video. Really good and i´m interested
@Motorsticker I have the exact same model as in the video :-) it could be great if you could help me with some info regarding the wiring. Should I connect the power wire (which came from the relay/controller) to the battery or I have to connect it to the switch? Thank you very much in advance!
nice projectors im definetly buying, i have the same bike with hids on it, one question, can i do it with my current bulbs, and what was the temperature in the oven ?
I have a 05 altima, which is using H1 halogen bulbs as low beam and 9005 for high beam. Will this mini H1 fit directly without any modification? For the high beam, what kind of harness or relay do i need in order to get it work?
I would really caution someone from putting in a headlight at 200 degrees Celsius, I understand the author is saying to shut it off when you place it in the oven which you should do anytime you are placing something that is easily damaged in an oven. But that's almost 400 degrees Fahrenheit. That kind of temperature is completely not necessary considering you can easily do this at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no reason to risk it with that kind of temperatures.
***** I understand that completely but I don't think you get my point or anyone else making this point to you. The first rule you learn in any safety class is just because you can do something 1 million times and be fine that doesn't mean its safe. When you heat an oven up to 400 degrees your introducing an element of risk that is completely unnecessary. The temperature of the air will cool but the temperature of the walls or racks will stay 400 degrees. So what happens if someone puts their headlight in and its touching the wall or racks... melted headlight. That is one of many risks. I will explain this in motorcycle terms; what your telling me is essentially the same as me telling a police officer he doesn't need to give me a ticket for going 200 miles an hour down the road because I've done it plenty of times before and as long as no one else is around I'm fine plus when I let off the gas i slow down in no time and i still have to wait for the next light to turn green for the same amount of time as the guy who went the speed limit. The point is the guy who went the speed limit had much less risk getting there even if it was the same amount of time. Just like when I heat my oven to 200 degrees and turn it off then leave my light in there for 4 minutes it comes off just as easily as yours but I had much less risk doing it and i didn't have to wait for the oven to preheat to 400. People are trying to help you out here stop ignoring everyone's advice and listen to what they are saying for a second.
is their any cutting of the main harness or does it have its own plug and play i haven't been able to find a video of someone installing all the wiring
The Aharon brand and for white I would say xenon bulbs 5500k. I don't think there will be a video or kit for the Pulsar (soon). Please see ruclips.net/user/Retrofitlab for more videos.
I have H7 lights in my car meaning that the high beam and low beam are 2 separate bulbs. Would i be right in saying that i could leave the cut off in the low beam and cut the shutter out of the high beam with out needing the do any extra wiring?
Hi there, quick question I have a much smaller bike and the headlight is 12v 35/35w bayonet fitting will I be able to fit this in the houseing ? it is for a Suzuki GD110
heb je ze ook met angel eyes en hoe waterdicht zijn de projectoren? ik heb een buel firebolt waar al projectoren inzitten en wil deze graag vervangen voor bi xenon projectoren met angel eyes
do you know if 3" bulbs will fit zx6r 05-06 headlight ? Although the majority refcommend 2.5" ones, it seems like the 2.5" used in the video is a little small. I saw other mods like this and the bulb was bigger in the headlight (636 '05) Many thanks!!
This "custom" job really just screws in to the old housing. When you have to really get thinking you need to make your own adjuster if yours doesn't fit like this :(.
***** Very Nice. I almost wish I had a commonplace bike as your prices are very competitive and you have great communication.. something here in the states we dream about.
200C is 392F -- only 59F away from the temperature of a flame from buring paper! I think he means 200F to soften the silicone for sure. Bi-Xenon are incandesent lamps! Why would anyone want to put something so inefficient on their motorcycle when LED lights are available and so much more efficient? Not sure. These lights get very hot with use too... when electrical energy is converted to heat at this high rate it indicates there is a lot of load (wattage/amperage -- current load) on the alternator/battery which unknown to many does steal away some performance from your motorcycle. Ok... H1 lamps consume 35W each so adding two of them (70W) reduces your available horsepower by roughly 1/10th a horsepower -- not much -- I agree. But inefficient and the lamps must be replaced every 2500 hours. LEDs are a better choice.
I have a Harley, so I'm good. I was just interested in the projection headlight assemble, not particularly the installation on a sport bike. Why do you say for the limited time you have it on a new bike? They come with years of warranty and if any dealer knew you removed a factory seal from the headlight assembly, you can bet their chances of covering warranty items went out the door.
Not 100% sure about this, but from looking at other videos of doing this, the temperature is 200 FAHRENHEIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should make that clear as these videos get watched all over the world and not every one is totally metric.
When I did my headlight I pre-heated the oven to about 110 degrees celsius, then baked the headlight for about 15 - 20 minutes (with oven still on) and it came apart with ease. The bike looks mad cool

connect to relay harness
Thank you for your nice details video
woooow very very NICE!
But i have two doubts:
1- Where did you conect the black and red cables. Don´t understandt that funcion.
2- With this the bike dont have the funcion Maximum light right?
Thanks for sharing this video. Really good and i´m interested
the red and black cable are for the shutter switch for the brights. you wire them in with the wire harness.
u connect them to any red and black wire on the relay harness?
These projectors use xenon bulb right? Do you have any problem with "Passing" light?
@Motorsticker I have the exact same model as in the video :-) it could be great if you could help me with some info regarding the wiring. Should I connect the power wire (which came from the relay/controller) to the battery or I have to connect it to the switch? Thank you very much in advance!
I am here in 2024 ! lol !
nice projectors im definetly buying, i have the same bike with hids on it, one question, can i do it with my current bulbs, and what was the temperature in the oven ?
Nice upgrade what is the total depth of the projectors? From the lens to the base plate? I've seen some that are 3 and 5 inch on total length?
MMMMMM BAKED HEADLIGHTS!!! TASTY!
Nice job
ok thnks a lot i will check it in
great job buddy. Thank you so much
any chance of a video connecting the wires up and the ballasts etc???
good explanation!
great job looks great
Did you just spray over your headlight lenses and surrounding of projectors? What spray did you use for this? And did you not sand it before hand?
I have a 05 altima, which is using H1 halogen bulbs as low beam and 9005 for high beam. Will this mini H1 fit directly without any modification?
For the high beam, what kind of harness or relay do i need in order to get it work?
Will the OEM reflector and the black paint withhold that much heat coming from the projector headlight?
Nice video .
Hos is the hi beam? Do you have hibeam ?
thanks a lot , what about angel eyes projector, do you guys carry that as well ?
I live in Australia and need the low beam cut-off made for cars that drive on the left hand side of the road, do you sell them or just for america?

Quick question, what's the functions of that red and black wire connector that comes with the projector housing and where is it connected to?
Where did you conect the black and red cables?
relay harness
i already have hid on my bike there h7 can i use thise hid instead on h1
awesome but you have to split your headlight every time you change the bulb?
oh sweet, thanks
is their any cutting of the main harness or does it have its own plug and play i haven't been able to find a video of someone installing all the wiring

How to install bi-xenon projector on pulsar rs200, & which brand is best for white illumination, waiting for a video on that.
The Aharon brand and for white I would say xenon bulbs 5500k. I don't think there will be a video or kit for the Pulsar (soon). Please see ruclips.net/user/Retrofitlab for more videos.
tip and trik oke 👍👍👍👍👍
Can you tell me a cost of this kit? I want to do this to my bike and I have the same 05-06 zx6r. Please let me know

I have H7 lights in my car meaning that the high beam and low beam are 2 separate bulbs. Would i be right in saying that i could leave the cut off in the low beam and cut the shutter out of the high beam with out needing the do any extra wiring?
Lekker gedaan pik! Looks very very nice
Do the projector lamp have to face a certain way up?
How did you plug the high beams of the projector ? Thats my problem
Hi there, quick question I have a much smaller bike and the headlight is 12v 35/35w bayonet fitting will I be able to fit this in the houseing ?
it is for a Suzuki GD110
Where do you connect the high beam wires
how do these work exactly, do you have twin dipped beams then and no high beam then?
heb je ze ook met angel eyes en hoe waterdicht zijn de projectoren?
ik heb een buel firebolt waar al projectoren inzitten en wil deze graag vervangen voor bi xenon projectoren met angel eyes
thanks
Is there a certain way the projector go in
what did you select in the add ons box on the website because I would like the same setup as this thanks.
Hi I have a Yamaha r1 rn12 2004 i Installation the projector but can’t close the glass do you have any projector bracket?
do you know if 3" bulbs will fit zx6r 05-06 headlight ? Although the majority refcommend 2.5" ones, it seems like the 2.5" used in the video is a little small. I saw other mods like this and the bulb was bigger in the headlight (636 '05)
Many thanks!!
for 1 projector kit only how much it cost i m from india.
i have karizma zmr bike
How does the Highbeam work still? Assuming you have both of them as low beams, is the high beam still accessible?
***** I understand that, but I was confused on how it was wired up.
did you have to cut the reflector to fit the projectors? please reply..
No, it is just like in the video
hello, what i have to do for get the 2 light both on?
Do it your self at 200 C degrees for 6 min and at the next step you'll need a new headlight. Doy you mean 200 F ?
+Val Ko that would be about 93 celsius degrees
hey there are you now any video how to install the angel eyes in the z800e ?
So these will also fit a H4 HID kit?
Do you have link for this exact kit for sale on eBay?
@sportbikecam do you work with them?
at 4.00 you just cut the connector ,?? why?? >with the use of a tiny screwdriver the connector inserts could have been removed from the plug
i want to retrofit my del sol headlights any advice?
can you retrofit these on into car headlights?
How did you adjust the beam at the end (height wise) was it the screws on the out side of the housing?
This "custom" job really just screws in to the old housing. When you have to really get thinking you need to make your own adjuster if yours doesn't fit like this :(.

can u bake the headlamps if the cover is glass??
Yes, as long as you don't suddenly cool it, causing it to shatter or crack.
Sorry but is this legal in europe? Maybe you sell this one with a LED lens?
U know anything about austria?

Dude seriously -- 200 C is almsot 400 F....we're loosening some adhesive, not cooking a pot roast...
Well that right there stabbing it with a screw driver sure looks like it voided any warranty that things ever had.
