I was watching Todd Smith with Sid Wroth last night on TBN. And when he said a 🙏 for healing he SD.to put your hand on the area where you need healing. So I put my hand on my neck where I have had a tumor growing for 10 years now.well he SD someone had a tumor on their neck and the lord was healing it now.I know without a doubt he was talking about me.praise Jesus cause I can't find that tumor and my pain in my neck is completely gone!!!!!Praise Jesus! !!!Todd Smith is true man of. God hes the real deal!
Praying in tongues helps me rest my mind to thinking worldly things( temptations, anxiety, etc.) It had become a way for me to obey 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart & LEAN NOT IN YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.' May God use more Spirit-filled pastors like you, pastor TODD SMITH.
Thank you jesus for speaking in tongues, i spoke in tongues back in 1981 it was and still now the best thing,s ever happen to me it is real it an gift and free gift you don,t have to pay for jesus is real tongues is real from char amen from michigan.
Praise the Lord! I was just praying today with a new believer who got baptized in March who lives in the UK. She went yesterday to a church and had the pastor pray for her to receive tongues because she desires that spiritual gift. She has the gift of evangelism, leadership and pastoring. Then as I was walking around my house praying and singing in the Spirit, I pause to see your video. I live in Atlanta, and it is very difficult to find any church who is preaching the truth. I had the baptism of the Holy Spirit with gifts of evangelism, prophecy and exhortation. Then after a few years of going to different Bible studies (up to fout a week) and listening daily to the still, small voice I received the gift of teaching. Then I had a woman come tell me God wanted to give me tongues when I had been praying to receive the gift of healing. After a couple of weeks, I surrendered to just receive the gift though it wasn't what I had been asking for. You are so right that after a few words, it scared me, and I said I didn't like it. A couple of weeks later, I decided to try again to see if it was real. Then I spoke for about a minute and a half. Right after that I was at church when they started preaching about godly husbands when my husband had been an adulterer (God told me Himself) while a deacon in the liberal Baptist church with my best friend in the choir, and he had divorced me after I fought it long and hard hoping for his salvation and reconciliation. I had to walk out of the sermon crying so I wouldn't embarrass myself, and I got into the car and prayed in the Spirit for probably 45 minutes. After that it switched to singing in the Spirit, and I absolutely love that because the melodies are beautiful and not any song I have ever heard. I also have a friend and viewer who lives in Israel who God is speaking to prophetically and is writing songs that the Holy Spirit downloads like He has done with me. I have several songs that the Holy Spirit has written in just minutes. It amazes me that all this is going on in Georgia (the oil in Dalton) when I am a 10th generation Georgian. We also all know that Jesus could come at any moment to snatch up His church/Bride. I am amazed that the new converts are rapture aware off the bat, and they desire to pray in the Spirit. You gave me some extra verses that I had not noticed. I have encouraged those who are already speaking in tongues to begin singing because it then is worship in the Spirit, and we know the Psalms are songs. King David probably sang in the Spirit too. God bless ya'll!!!
Amen! I have been encouraged by your testimony. Thanks for the part you have shared about singing in the spirit. Be blessed. Let's continue to serve and live for God.. God's goodness amazes me.
Thank you for sharing part of your journey. You are indeed a True Blessing from Him in the Body of Messiah. I bless you and your loved ones. Terry from Canada

From Kenya thank you Pastor Todd until today I didnt really understand what putting on the full armour of God is, I first watched watched Pastor Todd Smith on Sid Roth and my spirit wanted to learn more am so blessed right now getting enlightenment through this teaching.Blessings Pastor👏👏👏
Thank you for feeding and teaching me. . I’m ready to receive . Prepare me and teach me to be the warrior .I accept . bless me with the Holy Spirit and all the spiritual gifts . I accept the call !
For me I was seeking Jesus and told Him that I didn't know if this was for me or not, but that I wanted what my preacher had...I heard someone speaking in tongues and it was me. My Spirit calls out for a continuous connection, relationship with the spirit of my Father. I am not trying to be technical or religious or super spiritual...all I know if that I want my spirit to be connected with His spirit and it's says in the bible to pray in the spirit and with understanding. Don't make excuses as to why or why not...Open your heart, let Him fill you and receive all that the Lord has for you...and don't let the enemy of your soul steal that great connection.
Great teaching ! Many don't know that our English word " tongues" in the original Greek ,that the N.T. was written in , is singular not plural and means " another language" and " a language".
Acts 1-8 says 'you shall receive 'power' after the Holy Spirit has come upon you. Acts 2-4 says 'they were all filled with the Holy Spirit' and spoke in tongues. In Pentecostal circles the tongues is the evidence, but in my way of thinking, you can speak in tongues all you want but it's the power that comes with it that proves you have Him in your life.
@@Scoobieish I’m acts 10 there is nothing that points to the people understanding their language. Acts 2 yes, but not 10. Also, of the five examples of tongues, only one emphasizes that they spoke in human languages. So we have 4 against 1 in that area. Also, Paul said, “Wether I speak in the tongues of angels or of men.” And he said, “NO-ONE understands him, for he speaks mysteries in the spirit.” Major emphasis on the fact that it’s languages no one will understand there. Overall, people who want to use acts 2 to say that tongues is only in human languages must ignore 8 other verses in order to make that fit.
@@Scoobieish does it say, “They each heard them in their own languages” like it did in acts 2? No. You are interpreting something that isn’t directly said. Also, Paul’s general tone in acts 13 isn’t one of sarcasm or exaggeration. It is a serious tone. He is literally saying that if he had all knowledge and did not have love it would be worthless. Knowledge is available. Jesus said that faith could move mountains. That is true. You are making excuses for a lack of understanding. Which is fine, but as I said, you have to ignore many verses to draw the conclusions you are coming up with.
@@Scoobieish also, tongues isn’t “the least of all gifts.” Please give me a scripture that says that. The example given is that when they spoke in an earthly language it was always as a sign to the unbelievers that were present. Acts 2 is a perfect example of this. But once again. Paul said, “NO-ONE understands him. For he speaks mysteries in the Spirit.” Take off the denominational glasses and thing this through. What prays when we pray in tongues? Not my mind, but my Spirit. Acts 2 says the Holy Spirit gave them the utterance. So, instead of trying to downplay tongues based on your understanding why don’t you put it through a test? Like the Bible says. 1. Is someone being brought closer to God? Yes 2. Are they showing demonstrations of power like Jesus said they would? Yes 3. Are they showing signs of having a burden for the lost? Yes. If you see someone getting closer to God, reaching the lost, and moving in the supernatural power that Jesus did; then WHY does it matter if the language is earthly or heavenly? The religious spirit is dangerous friend.
@@Scoobieish let’s look at what the Bible actually says? Acts 10:45-46 “the circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.” There is nothing here that says they understood what they were saying. You can’t argue that. It is plain and simple. Second, those that were present were Jewish believers who had already know what speaking in tongues was and practiced it. They knew speaking in tongues was a form of worship just like Paul says in 1 cor. 14. It is most likely, since nowhere does the scripture say the Jewish believers with Peter understood what was being said, that instead they drew the conclusion that since they knew what tongues looked like, they knew exactly what was happening. Let me illustrate this to help you. If I hear someone speaking in tongues, I know they are worshipping God. Why, because the Bible tells me that is what they are doing.
@@Scoobieish no, the angel spoke in the language of Cornelius because the angel had a message for Cornelius. Now you’re ignoring even more scriptures Paul said, “if I pray in an unknown tongues, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.” So here’s what you’re telling me based on the conversation we’ve had thus far. You don’t know what Paul teaches about tongues in 1 Corinthians 14, but you’re going to say we need love? I agree, Paul also said seek love, prophesy, desire spiritual gifts, and don’t forbid speaking in tongues. Paul also said that it was a language your mind doesn’t understand. He said it was for the building up of your spirit, not your mind. Here is what I suggest, before you take this conversation any further you need to read 1 Corinthians 12; 13; & 14 all the way through slowly, and really pay attention to things like context, word definition, and sentence structure. I would also refrain from the KJV because you don’t seem to understand what Paul wrote. Try using a more accurate translation like the ESV?
The first century church was full of issues like idolatry, sexual immorality, legalism etc so it’s strange that Todd begins to make it clear around the 14:00 mark that the first century church was more faithful than today when in reality the church today still has the same issues it had then and the Book of Acts is always the go to for charismatics which is a transitional book not a normative one. it’s the same old two step where people are healed either by laying on of hands or I’m Todd’s case immersion in water yet the terminally ill children in hospitals all over the US aren’t brought to these baptisms nor are they having hands laid on them. I praise God for His (not Todd’s) healing ministry still active today because I know people are miraculously healed but I’d approach Todd Smith with extreme caution.

I find it interesting that the padtor chose only specific scriptures to prove his point. He purposely left out 1 Corinthians chapter 12 which talks about how everyone has different gifts of the spirit. 1 Corinthians chapter 14 he read only 1-4 but neglected to read chapter 5. This pastor tells us that you need to speak in tougues to prove you are saved and filled with the holy spirit. I believe one of the gifts of the spirit is in tongues and if this is a gift that you desire you should pray to God for this gift. Please people read the word for yourself because Pastors pick and chose which scriptures to preach on. God says "my people perish for lack of knowledge" please do your own study and pray to God for the true understanding. Let God be true and every man a liar.
He's not talking about the gift of public tongues from 1 Cor 12, but private personal praying in tongues which is for the edification of the individual. That's the point of reading 1 Cor 14, and he clearly did mention the difference between the two.
