How do you trade JT Miller? You would have to get equal value, it would seem to me. Miller is a great player and team leader who is currently having a down year, but with the right teammates in a new situation he could roar back to being one of the top offensive players in the NHL, as he has been for the last several season. Put Miller on the Oilers with their current lineup as they go for the Stanley Cup ---- he'd be a huge plus. Or put him on any similar team heading for the playoffs. So if Canucks deal him then they are going to have to get equal value, and I just don't see who or what that is right now.
I would say lafreniere for miller 1 for 1 is fair. Miller is better now but lafreniere is capable of being better and is way younger. I would just look for a def elsewhere and not trade a star player for a defenceman that will be 3-4 def
I know it’s an issue older than his tenure, but can Tochette not control his room? Does he give too much room to certain guys, and comes down harder on others?
Because pettersson is 26 and has the potential to be one of the top two-way centers in the league for years. When miller was away pettersson was on pace for 123 points.
He would fit in on the Flames. The Flames are a tough group and not so soft as the Canucks. Vladar is expendable. Truthfully, you could combine the Flames and and Canucks and still wouldnt win a cup.
every team wants Miller's snarl & skill....NO TEAM wants his seemingly un-coachable EGO ... this is the delay we're witnessing for a trade, teams are aware of this guy's possible "negative impact" on the dressing room .... something you can never dismiss or take lightly and yes, teams' are making offers...but they are very lowball offers, cuz they know Miller's value is precarious at best
Lmfao “Rutherford can help them get through this” buddy Jim is part of the reason they are in this problem. Guy is making an absolute mess of things just like he did in Carolina.
Brad Treliving sucks at making trades this is why he doesn't make any. He signs some players in the summer and that's it. Then he does nothing all year. When trade deadline gets close and the cost to acquire a player is at a high then he comes out of his hole. Treliving will contact everyone trying to trade a 6th round pick for a top 2 D or a 2nd line center. He offers other teams next to nothing so not to many teams waste their time with this guy.
Pettersson gone first say goodbye to Hughes when his contract is up. You think he will bank his retirement years contract to win the cup with a 34 year old miller?
I would believe there are 31 teams that want Miller.... bet there wouldn't be 5 that would ask for HUGHES.... what does that tell ya ???? As far as the Laffs... nobody will fit there and nobody is wanting to go there... Laffs won't see 2nd round.

Rantanen got traded today; cap hits aren’t an excuse to not get a deal done.

I think Tochette may actually be the problem. He doesn’t seem to know how to put his top players in a position to succeed.
Even when he's referring to the Jets he still calls them the Leafs. Is there ever a time when the Toronto media doesn't have Leafs on the brain?
🙄
Why not try to trade them both ? Only Hughes is the untouchable in Van it looks like

they traded the wrong player should of paid bo sent miller packing

IIHF are a bunch of plugs who don’t know a thing about what’s good for the game. Blows my mind.
fix the title
Flames could use Brock
The only way Nucks deal Miller is thru a huge discount, sure he's talented, but also a drama queen, few top teams want that exchange.
And a guy calling himself gorgeous isn't a drama queen. Get over yourself weirdo
@@dougstewart3243 lol, Nucks fans are sure touchy today :)

Yes, 100% keeps a job because of his Daddy and his money. He is a joke.
WHY DO YOU HAVE WOMEN ON TSN THAT DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT HOCKEY? EH?
calling this "trade bait" is dehumanizing and disrespectful if you think about if for like 5 seconds
cry harder
Miller ain’t goin anywhere

Are you out of your mind? Every team in the NHL would line up for q huges
@@TheBonkers45 I disagree, He is not Captain Material
@warrenlafond1878 so because he isn't captain material, that means he isn't one of the best defenceman in the NHL?
Dumbest comment award goes to you sir. Nobody would want Hughes, are out of your mind? What reality do you live in 🤣
